Slovenia’s LPS have completed their run-through during Eurovision 2022 first rehearsals. The band also known as Last Pizza Slice performed their song “Disko” on Turin’s PalaOlimpico stage for the first time. How did the funky five-piece fair? Read on to find out…
Slovenia’s LPS “Disko” — Eurovision 2022 first rehearsal

Remember Blas Cantó’s giant inflatable moon from last year? LPS have revived it, metallicised it, and brought it all the way from Ljubljana to Turin. Dressed in suave 1970s-inspired suits, the “Disko” singer, guitarist, bassist and keyboardist form a circle around the glitterball facing outwards towards the audience, while their drummer is perched on a raised platform just behind the ball. Coming just a few songs after Latvia’s Citi Zeni — who deliver a similar funky sound — this presentation is somewhat low in energy and lacking in colour, comparatively.

Jonathan: LPS truly delivering that disco feeling. I would’ve liked to have seen the disco ball moving to the performance a bit more dynamism. Hopefully we’ll have some lights shining off it to make it glitter, but this is a step up from their previous performances.
William: Big ball energy indeed. This is the most beautiful disco ball we have seen at Eurovision in a long time. I wonder if Alyona Lanskaya will pop out of it.
Suzanne: LPS, aren’t they darling in their green and cranberry velvet suits? Very fitting of the disco age.

They are winning my “outfits of the year” award at the moment. 😉
I love their velvet suits! So classy. They look simple and kind. And I have a crush on Filip haha
total eclipse with a moon-size disko ball, is that a first? ^^
I love them very much. Don’t understand why people have been hating them so much. :-(( I hope they qualify.
I’ll vote for them in the semi. This kind of entry is much needed in the final. Like Lithuania, They are different and add colour. What’s there to dislike?
This one gives me huge Loreen vibes – in a way that Loreen also performed her song at ESC 😀 And also Lordi vibes – in a way that there’s a guitarist on the stage 😀
Don’t like that they all seem to be turning their backs on each other onstage. Don’t feel much chemistry between them.
And I’ll be super disappointed if Alyona Lanskaya doesn’t walk out of that ball midperformance.
The retro outfits are great. I’m feeling that high school awkwardness and it is endearing. Reminds me of the video for Volevamo solo essere felici by Francesco Gabbani.
Cuties. I hope they’ll qualify.
This one looks very classy, I like it 🙂
I’m all in when it comes to big balls!
I like big balls and I cannot lie
Blas Canto but on crack…
Now that Switzerland, Latvia and even Bulgaria have increased their odds of qualifying, this will be completely lost. A serious competitor for last place in semi.
I have to agree, Slovenia’s chances aren’t great this year. However, they look like they’re having fun – and it’s a huge step up from where they were at EMA.
If you have to go out, go out with a smile. It might be the only time we’ll see Slovenia perform this year, but as long as they are having fun, let’s make the most of it.
lol this looks better than bulgaria and latvia…
but Switzerland is q
