Another day, another set of Eurovision 2022 second rehearsals. From Iceland’s Systur through to San Marino’s Achille Lauro, 10 semi-finalists took to the PalaOlimpico stage for another run-through ahead of next week’s live shows.

We saw a Rosa Linn tear down a giant paper house, The Rasmus rock out in their signature bumblebee yellow, and Konstrakta gave us a lesson in hygiene. But who impressed you the most?

You can scroll through our homepage to read our reviews of and watch our reactions to each act. You can also view the official 45-second teases released by the EBU in the posts.

Poll: Who had the best second rehearsal at Eurovision 2022 on 5 May?

🇮🇸 Iceland: Systur “Með hækkandi sól”

🇳🇴 Norway: Subwoolfer “Give That Wolf a Banana”

🇦🇲 Armenia: Rosa Linn “Snap”

🇫🇮 Finland: The Rasmus “Jezebel”

🇮🇱 Israel: Michael Ben David “I.M”

🇷🇸 Serbia: Konstrakta “In corpore sano”

🇦🇿 Azerbaijan: Nadir Rustamli “Fade to Black”

🇬🇪 Georgia: Circus Mircus “Lock Me In”

🇲🇹 Malta: Emma Muscat “I Am What I Am”

🇸🇲 San Marino: Achille Lauro “Stripper”

After Albania’s massive failure anything looks good.

Azerbaijan winning the press poll (and pretty comfortably) is a whole thing. I’ve always been a big fan of the song but have thought the rehearsal clips weren’t giving much away. Norway and Serbia were strong acts who also had strong rehearsals.
San Marino, Iceland and Georgia all helped themselves here. Armenia, Israel and Malta not so much.

From these acts I would pick Norway, Israel, Finland, Iceland and Serbia but I have to say ya all are sleeping on Azerbaidjan because from what I’ve seen his performance is very class, well thought and kind of epic and I can see him being the Cesar Sampson of this edition in terms of result. Armenia feels really intimate, I like the idea but I’m not blown away, it’s fine, kind of Malta 2019 vibe. Giorgia looks cool but it’s too out of the box for me, San Marino what a fun staging but it’s not enough for me to… Read more »

Some thoughts: Iceland: I love this. I just hope enough people that can actually vote for them also love it. Norway: The exact opposite, it does nothing for me, but people at home will love it. Armenia: The idea is better than the execution, but it’s different from anything else in the competition, so I think it will help. Finland: I prefer the staging from UMK, but they would be screwed if they haven’t changed, so well done. Lauri really needs to start saving his voice though. Israel: Another act I’m not the targeted audience for, but it seems like… Read more »

VERY POSITIVE: Azerbaijan (same case as Switzerland, but better, even though the song itself is dull and boring).

POSITIVE: Serbia, Israel (though I can’t stand his attitude on stage), San Marino (a hot mess only Achille is able to make work), Iceland.

NEUTRAL: Norway (expecting it but it has left me a bit cold. Probably needs the audience), Georgia (an interesting hot mess but I’m not feeling his voice).

NEGATIVE: Finland (was expecting more, vocals…).

VERY NEGATIVE: Malta (high school performances paired with the most irrelevant song in the contest this year… poor Emma)

I forgot to include Armenia. It would be in the “POSITIVE” bunch.

Azerbaijan came first today in the press poll. That’s interesting, I wonder what the whole performance will look like live.

I dislike San Marino’s song, but the singer matches the definition of hotness. On another note, Serbia had the most complete and visually arresting rehearsal of the day (and is in my top 2 best rehearsals of both semi finals.) I really wonder who’s doing Serbia’s staging tho because that person needs to be acknowledged for their immense talent..

Kosta Mushu did the graphics and the staging as well if I understood correctly. Don’t know his last name. Gheh only referred to him as Kosta. He goes by Kosta Mushu in ig. He’s part of her choir – short haired blond one.

Fun fact, he’s also the handsome guy eating wings in the music video (or in the longer version video “Triptih”).

Armenia, Serbia and San Marino really impressed me! I think Serbia is gonna make the top 10 overall and might make the top 5 with the televoting, and Armenia is gonna qualify with ease. SF 2 is turning out be quite the bloodbath, but I think San Marino could make it out. I really don’t enjoy Malta’s choreo, it doesn’t fit which is a shame because the golden visuals look great. Still can’t see them getting more than 15 points from the televoting.
