France’s Alvan & Ahez are back on stage in Turin, and its time for more Eurovision 2022 second rehearsals. The Breton quartet performed “Fulenn” ahead of the grand final. Did they live up to the hype? Let’s take a look…

France’s Alvan & Ahez “Fulenn” — Eurovision 2022 second rehearsals

Oliver: Fans of Alvan & Ahez will be delighted with this performance. Their staging is a direct lift from C’est vous qui decidez, but with extra polish — including brighter, more intricate graphics, and plenty of fire. The vocal slip-ups we witnessed at the national final are gone, too: no longer are they missing cues, they’re fully in sync with one another. Despite all these improvements, the dancer is still there,  and their presence detracts from the visual focus. Where is the audience supposed to look when there is so much going on? “Fulenn” has niche appeal, but the Breton bunch can rely on their dedicated fanbase to ensure this goes down well.

So where is the review in your YouTube channel? That’s the problem you only talk about UK Spain Italy and Ronela in EVERY reaction video and you totally forgot the other.
You maid a review of 2nd rehearsals for every Big5 countries and you forgot France !

Yes, France is the only country without a review of second rehearsal ! This is really not good and unfair. Wiwibloggs also completly ignore French selection… come on guys !

I absolutely adore France this year, it was one of my favourite before, but after seeing all the rehearsals I am thinking to vote for Fulenn… They elevated the staging and performance, but without making any actual significant change.
This is just spectacular 🙂

It’s what they had before, but polished as intended. The camerawork could be a tad more energetic, but at this point I feel it’s a general problem. I would love to see France doing well, this is one of the most original entries of the year.

Am in love with this masterpiece since the national final, and my wig flew away after watching that rehearsal clip, this is a good staging and such gorgeous vocals

Well done France for taking a risk with one of your country’s dialects, Breton a lovely language

I have never understood the appeal of this song to the fans. I think people like it for being different for France but objectively this always felt a bit messy and disjointed without any melody or chorus. It’s like people want to connect this to Go-A but that staging felt so cohesive and there was a story they were telling. This just feels noisy.

I don’t understand why they’re not higher in the odds

For some reason, this looks like a mess to me.

I didn’t enjoy the staging, costumes, camera views, or song.

I’m not even a big fan of this song, but from the clip, this is really good, and really improved.

The subtitles lmao loving it. ALSO – they are amazing and everything is now so so polished, even the vocals. I am rooting for a top 10 finish. They will undoubtedly get my votes.

It’s extract from an forward interview in French in witch they were asked about their favorite quote and one of the 3 girl answered that. For an journalist honesty it would have been better from Wiwibloggs to notice that on this article.

This is the entry that’s shooting up in my ranking and expectation with every rehearsal and re-listen. It’s incredibly impressive. They’ve never sounded better. It looks great.
Think could easily get a top three televote in the final. I don’t think it can win overall but I’m expecting a top ten from France with a *chance* of a top five.

France has a quite good package but I don’t see them better than Spain. It’s still a. It still a bit messy.

Finally I can say there vocals are on point. Not a big fan of the song but I can admit when I see/hear a good performance.
The obly negative point for me is the staging that seems a bit messy. There is toi much. Still top 10 materials.

Wow, amazing!! I always loved this one but it has grown to be a serious contender for me. It has a lot of the powerful ethnic energy similar to Norway 2019, Ukraine 2021 or Denmark 2018, which means they are a very good bet for televoting Top 5. If the juries don’t bring them down -which I don’t expect since vocal and composition-wise this is a good entry-France probably will probably score very high again this year.

A little bit messy performance, but I could see it doing well with the televote (reminds me of Norway 2019)

France had proven that the problem is not only the technical issues (that are bad but also unpredictable), but also the sending organizations are not good enough to do react to an unexpected event. They just made a initial problem their strength, the staging is just fabulous! Very compliment to France, hope they can win.

Don’t be sad if they won’t even make it into the top 15. In my opinion it looks like an amateuristic secondary school performance and I don’t like the song either.

It like they’re trying to copy Go_A from last year but failing miserably.

I’m glad the dancer is still there. Visually she brings a lot to the performance
