The Eurovision 2022 final was almost two weeks ago. But before we move on to other things, let’s take a look at how the Turin batch fared in Europe’s charts. Keep in mind, we don’t list every country where an act is charting, nor do we mention every act. Some markets don’t publish any form of singles charts while others only release airplay charts.
Eurovision 2022 songs in the charts
In Belgium, as per tradition, it appears that the Flemish are the ones most on board with Eurovision. Jérémie Makiese is at number #1 on the main chart for the week ending 21 May. The Netherlands and Ukraine also feature. In Wallonia, Jérémie is the only Eurovision act to chart inside the top 50.
- #1 Jérémie Makiese “Miss You” (Belgium)
- #20 S10 “De Diepte” (Netherlands)
- #37 Kalush Orchestra “Stefania” (Ukraine)
- #3 Jérémie Makiese “Miss You” (Belgium)
Måneskin’s “Supermodel” is at #39 in Flanders.
Finland’s chart only covers the top 20 songs of the week. Nonetheless, there are several songs from Eurovision 2022.
- #2 Kalush Orchestra “Stefania” (Ukraine)
- #9 Cornelia Jakobs “Hold Me Closer” (Sweden)
- #12 The Rasmus “Jezebel” (Finland
UMK 2022’s third-place act BESS is at #6 with “Ram Pam Pam”. This marks the song’s 18th week inside the top ten — ten of which were spent at #1. Måneskin’s “Supermodel” is at #14.
The European public didn’t appreciate their Eurovision effort but the Germans don’t appear too disheartened. Malik Harris reaches a new chart peak with “Rockstars” landing at #8.
- #8 Malik Harris “Rockstars” (Germany)
- #22 Kalush Orchestra “Stefania” (Ukraine)
Måneskin’s “Supermodel” is at #50 and “Beggin'” is at #99.
Yet again, Ireland crashed out in the semis. Nonetheless, the main local chart is awash with Eurovision tracks. And for the first time in several years, Ireland’s own entry has cracked the top 100.
- #22 Sam Ryder “SPACE MAN” (United Kingdom)
- #30 Kalush Orchestra “Stefania” (Ukraine)
- #38 Cornelia Jakobs “Hold Me Closer” (Sweden)
- #44 Chanel “Slomo” (Spain)
- #54 Brooke “That’s Rich” (Ireland)
- #59 Subwoolfer “Give That Wolf A Banana” (Norway)
- #93 Maro “Saudade, Saudade” (Portugal)
Måneskin’s “Supermodel” is at #42 and “Beggin'”.
It was the host country, but the Italian charts are sparse when it comes to Eurovision. Aside from Mahmood and Blanco’s “Brividi”, Kalush Orchestra are the only 2022 act to appear.
- #2 Mahmood and Blanco “Brividi” (Italy)
- #53 Kalush Orchestra “Stefania” (Ukraine)
Måneskin’s “Supermodel” is at #11. Several Sanremo 2022 songs also remain on the countdown.
The Dutch public are lapping up all things Eurovision. The Dutch Charts — which focuses on physical sales, downloads and streaming — contains half a dozen songs from the contest.
- #1 S10 “De Diepte” (Netherlands)
- #36 Kalush Orchestra “Stefania” (Ukraine)
- #54 Subwoolfer “Give That Wolf A Banana” (Norway)
- #71 Sam Ryder “SPACE MAN” (United Kingdom)
- #72 Chanel “Slomo” (Spain)
- #76 Cornelia Jakobs “Hold Me Closer” (Sweden)
Måneskin’s “Supermodel” is at #46.
Norway’s main chart — the VG-Lista — only looks at the top 40 songs.
- #7 Subwoolfer “Give That Wolf A Banana” (Norway)
- #15 Cornelia Jakobs “Hold Me Closer” (Sweden)
- #19 Kalush Orchestra “Stefania” (Ukraine)
Chanel secured Spain its best Eurovision result since 1995. And she’s also breaking records on the charts. “Slomo” is the fist Spanish entry to top the charts since since Ramón with “Para llenarme de tí” in 2004.
- #1 Chanel “Slomo” (Spain)
- #88 Cornelia Jakobs “Hold Me Closer” (Sweden)
- #91 WRS “Llámame” (Romania)
It’s perhaps the country that’s most obsessed with Eurovision. Back in March, almost all the entries in its national selection graced the charts. So, it’s hardly surprising to find a decent chunk of tracks from Turin inside Sweden’s top 100.
- #2 Cornelia Jakobs “Hold Me Closer” (Sweden)
- #7 Kalush Orchestra “Stefania” (Ukraine)
- #13 Subwoolfer “Give That Wolf A Banana” (Norway)
- #15 Sam Ryder “SPACE MAN” (United Kingdom)
- #32 Chanel “Slomo” (Spain)
- #44 S10 “De Diepte” (Netherlands)
- #59 Mahmood and Blanco “Brividi” (Italy)
- #63 Konstrakta “In Corpore Sano” (Serbia)
- #68 Maro “Saudade, Saudade” (Portugal)
- #87 Stefan “Hope” (Estonia)
- #88 Ochman “River” (Poland)
- #97 Rosa Linn “Snap” (Armenia)
Maneskin’s “Supermodel” is at #40. Several Melodifestivalen entries also remain inside the top 100.
The European public showed little love to Switzerland, awarding Marius Bear zero points in the grand final. Thankfully, the Swiss don’t hold a grudge as several tracks from 2022 have made it into the charts.
- #11 Kalush Orchestra “Stefania” (Ukraine)
- #16 Mahmood and Blanco “Brividi” (Italy)
- #32 Marius Bear “Boys Do Cry” (Switzerland)
- #45 Sam Ryder “SPACE MAN” (United Kingdom)
- #53 Cornelia Jakobs “Hold Me Closer” (Sweden)
- #65 Chanel “Slomo” (Spain)
- #68 Malik Harris “Rockstars” (Germany)
- #79 Maro “Saudade, Saudade” (Portugal)
Maneskin’s “Supermodel” is at #18 and “Beggin'” is at #94
He scored the UK’s best result since 1998, reaching second place. And Sam Ryder replicated that success in the Official Singles Chart Top 100. “Space Man” is the highest charting British Eurovision entry since Gina G’s “Ooh Ah Just A Little Bit” hit #1 in 1996.
- #2 Sam Ryder “SPACE MAN” (United Kingdom)
- #38 Kalush Orchestra “Stefania” (Ukraine)
- #47 Subwoolfer “Give That Wolf A Banana” (Norway)
- #56 Chanel “Slomo” (Spain)
- #59 Cornelia Jakobs “Hold Me Closer” (Sweden)
Maneskin’s “Supermodel” is at #43.
How are your favourite acts faring commercially? Will any continue to climb? Let us know in the comments below.
Australia no where to be seen ?
Sheldon was a terrible choice by an SBS-stacked Jury. When will they listen to the public???
Voyager would have been a far better choice.
can we just take a moment to appreciate BESS absolutely crushing the finnish charts? i was shocked when she got such a low televote score at UMK but i’m glad she has found success with her song because it is a total bop and could’ve landed finland in the top 10 this year easily
And we could have had another country singing in their native language (y)
Times Square in New York showing Kalush Orchestra ads banner 😀
and the pic of guys they use is so cool !
I found the pic of them in NY
Oh wow, oh wow. Kalush Orchestra just snagged a second week on the UK charts, coming in at 96. We love to see an organic HIT.
This just show how strong and full of quality entries this year was. I’m happy for everyone! 😀
Love the debate. No one said that a black singer should win. My point is backed up by the fact that one winner was named who was part of a double act and many examples of black singers. That’s my point. So many black singers with good songs and one winner in 66 years. Come on wake up and smell the racist coffee. If this was a level playing ground then there would be at least a dozen or so black winners. Surely everyone who is not wearing eurovision tinted glasses can see the facts in front of them.
did someone put drugs in your racist coffee too??
Very happy for Malik. A bit surprised Wrs is not higher in Spain!
I would love to have a reply to this post from Wiwibloggs themselves. Eurovision is always going on about harmony and inclusion of all countries religions and nationalities. Can we please address the elephant in the room. How many winner’s of eurovision have been of colour. I struggle to think of any. There has been hundreds of artists over the years and not one from memory has been black or of mixed race. I am white myself and think it’s very strange and glaringly obvious that this is a fact. So let’s not get carried away with the one big… Read more »
There was a black winner in 2001 and there have been many performers ‘of colour’ over the years. Belgium 2022 being the most recent. UK 2005, 2008, 2009. France 1990, 1991, 1992, 2010. Norway 2011 and 2012 to name a few. There are a lot more. You’re right though. Proportionately there should be more and some have scored better than others. Whether that’s because of their skin colour or song is up for debate.
Iceland has participated 35 times in Eurovision, 1st place 0 times… Statistically speaking this must be a clear example of Icelandism as well.
Why shoud be ‘proportionately’ more people of colour winning Esc than people of Iceland winning Esc??
I’m sorry, you started well, but then descended into total hypocrisy.
Are you serious? He started well? About no ‘of colour’ person winning Esc?? Really??
Ok quota then every other year a person ‘of colour’ MUST win Eurovision…On even years a colour person and on odd years an Asian. Once every 7 years a white. Every other year, of course, a woman (any race), every 2-3 years a gay, every 5 years a trasgender and every 6 a cis, asexual or any other kind of sexual diversity person.
Every 8 years and American Indian.
Read my comment properly. I never said they should win because of their skin colour. I’m saying look at the facts. One winner in 66 years with countless good songs and artists over those years. Are you seriously telling me that fact is not worrying. If not then you must be living a very blinkered life.
Slovenia, Belorus, Czech Republic, Montenegro, Cyprus, Poland, Hungary, San Marino, Iceland, Georgia, Australia, Moldova, Romania, Armenia, Albania,North Macedonia, Croatia… Never won Eurovision. According to your logics that must be because Europe hates those countries??
You look at the facts. 1 person ‘of colour’ won Esc. Does that mean that year Eurovision viewers stopped being racist but then resumed their racism in other years?
On years were people of colour ended up top 3 or top 5, Esc viewers were less racist than on years when singers of colour ended up 17th?
Your logics make no sense whatsoever when applied to Eurovision.
If I am a hypocrite by pointing out the clear facts then yes I am very pleased to be called that. I never deviated from my argument so how did it turn into hypocrisy.
You made a point about racism, but then undermined it by generalizing a whole country based on one incident in your own life. Which is what racists do.
Soccer has a big racism problem all over, including where this year’s contest was held.
You made a point about racism??? Do you really think that Eurovision viewers and voters have an issue about race?
Let’s have a look….
*No disabled winners
*Only one Transgender winner
*Only one drag queen winner
*Two plus size winners
*Only two winners who were over 50
So by your logic, everyone’s not only racist, but ablist, transphobic, dragphobic, sizist and ageist.
Well, the success of Kalush OUTSIDE of the Eurovsion song contest proves that it wasn’t just the sympathy vote that made them win! The worldwide charts are proving that people ACTUALLY liked the song. So much that they’re downloading, streaming/buying the song after the contest. So that’s going to make a lot of the “oh they only won because of the war” brigade look very very silly….
You are wrong. Europe’s solidarity continues with the Ukrainian people
I’m not wrong. Solidarity will always continue, but the charts are completely separate. This is where people buy/listen to what they like to listen to. That’s why Chanel, Sam Ryder, Kalush & Cornelia are doing so well across the globe. People are enjoying their songs.
Happy to learn about Malik and Jérémie’s chart success back home.
Off topic The Mayor’s Office in Kyiv has confirmed that the Ukrainian capital Kyiv is ready to host Eurovision 2023 should it be asked. The Ukrainian Capital, Kyiv is the first Ukrainian city to state it is ready to host the Eurovision Song Contest in 2023, should Ukraine be able to host the contest. Mykola Povoroznyk, the First Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration told Siohodni that: We are ready to host Eurovision. We have all the infrastructure prepared for this. I think it is inexpedient to build something new, we will focus on what we already have – in… Read more »
And how will they avoid or prevent the Russian forces from endangering the city and everybody who is going to come and watch it live? That is my only concern…
William you lied, Monika Liugend’s Wiwi Jam performance is not on YouTube.
Space Man also scored a #1 with the Big UK Top 40.

Unfortunately the Big Top 40 isn’t the official chart. It’s just based solely on a collective of radio stations gathering their radio airplay results and adding it to ITunes downloads and Apple music streaming, so it’s only Apple focused. The only officially recognised chart is the OCC chart (Official Charts Company) who have been producing the official chart for years now. They are operated jointly by the British Phonographic Industry and the Entertainment Retailers Association (ERA) (formerly the British Association of Record Dealers (BARD)). CIN (Chart Information Network) took over as compilers of the official UK charts in 1990, and… Read more »
Who cares? He’s still number 2 on the official UK chart. The fact he’s got enough downloads and streams to be number 1 on any chart should be celebrated.
You do realise I wasn’t attacking you? Just merely stating a fact that the Big Top 40 is just a gobbledygook made up chart.
I’ve been Sam’s biggest cheerleader since day one, so I’m over the moon that he scored the highest chart placing for a Eurovison song in the UK since Gina G’s (‘Ooh Ahh Just A Little Bit’) in 1996.
How popular is apple music compared to spotify in the uk?
Itunes used to be the ‘go to’ music store at one point but Apple have lost their footing a while ago. Spotify, Deezer etc have become the go to platforms to access music from what I’ve read.
It’s still good because Capital & Heart made Space Man record of the week which will help with Sam’s streaming and download numbers. He was very happy with his trophy and grateful for their support for his song.
it’s just more proves how our top 3/5/10 is amazing, I love these songs, and gonna listening them for whole summer
and yes,the Netherlands, deserved more
