RTVE will announce all the details about Benidorm Fest 2023 — its Eurovision national selection — on July 19. But don’t think it’s going to be a regular press conference: they’re planning a day-long beach extravaganza!
On Friday, RTVE confirmed there’s going to be an event separate to the announcement. And it’s apparently going to be big. Formula TV reports it’s going to include a concert at the beach.
Benidorm Fest 2023 – What we know so far
Preparations for Benidorm Fest 2023 are already underway. Benidorm Fest will include a fan zone, the Benidorm Fest Village, and there are plans to have an audience of up to 8,000 people inside the venue.
Earlier last month, the regional government Generalitat Valenciana already stated their intentions. They want a bigger audience and more events during the festival week, spreading the love across more of the city.
This year’s edition was extremely profitable, and they want to ride that wave. And you know, with almost half a million hotel rooms in Benidorm alone, this can blow up.
At this point, there are several ideas on the table for next year. One of them is establishing a Walk of Fame in Benidorm with the winners of Benidorm Fest. Chanel, of course, would be the first one.

Can they please move it to a bigger venue? This year’s fest was held in a small very small venue and the interest is bigger for next year’s so they should ensure more fans are in the venue and a bigger stage for sure.
Many people blame the Spanish fans for all the hate thing but let’s not forget that some of last year’s singers and their sorroundings were encouraging this hate.
I just hope the Spanish fans will not hate on the next Benidorm Fest winner like they did with Chanel. That was incredibly sad to witness
We certainly will. I guess the hate love
hate relationship with the singer has become a tradition.
I’m expecting even bigger names joining next year, as the exposure has been huge for the 2022 class. It’s really promising.
Fingers crossed. The names I’ve heard about so far are not that big though. I wish that too.
I love the fact that Spain is conducting the changes it needed for so long! I can’t believe it hasn’t been too long since we last had the subpart Operación Triunfo 😮
But they didn’t have the experience they have now just when they went out of OT. You can’t compare them back then with them now.
I love how big Benidorm is turning, if fans respect artists it can turn out to the best national final ever
