Ever since the unfortunate cancellation of Eurovision 2020, song contest organisers have required broadcasters to film backup performances in case an act can’t make it to the stage in May. Now, the EBU is releasing almost all of the Live On Tape recordings for Turin 2022.

The recordings are being released on the official Eurovision channel across a period of 10 days and the publication schedule is following the semi-final running orders. Today, Saturday 18 June, we’re getting two songs from semi-final one — Greece’s Amanda Georgiadi Tjenford and Armenia’s Rosa Linn — and one from semi-final two — Finland’s The Rasmus. The remaining acts from semi-final two and the Big Five will follow over the coming days.

Eurovision 2022 Live On Tape Performances

Greece’s Amanda Georgiadi Tjenford – “Die Together”

Armenia’s Rosa Linn – “Snap”

Finland’s The Rasmus – “Jezebel”

Why was Armenia’s on tape performance deleted?!

Did anyone think to save Armenia’s live-on-tape before it was deleted?

Armenia’s song is one of the most heartwarming songs in recent ESC history. I like all of its versions: video clip, ESC performance and live on tape (for the 1-2 hours that it was uploaded at least 🙂 ). Haven’t regretted voting for them both in the semi and in the final!

Oh and of course I am also very pleased by Amanda’s live on tape. Best song+performance we’ve sent in a long time. Took me up until the live shows to appreciate it as much as right now but it was worth it

Not everyone will release their live on tapes. I think they likely filmed their live on tape after they performed in the semi and remember they both had covid right before that so their vocals were weaker than they were in the MGP final and ESC. So it makes sense for them not to release their live on tape. There wouldn’t be anything interesting on there anyhow.

Oh yeah right lol. Well they probably didn’t feel the need to release it. It’s ok. Nothing of value was lost.
