Last February he told us that his romantic interest Efendi was meant to attend Melodi Grand Prix 2022, but that her visa didn’t arrive in time.
But it seems that Norwegian singer TIX has had no problem entering Azerbaijan and he’s been hanging out with the “Mata Hari” singer in Baku.
On Monday Efendi shared extensive footage of Tix’s visit on her Instagram Stories. Among other things they visit monuments in Baku, take pictures with fans and pose in front of the iconic Flame Towers.

The duo give several interviews and then let their hair down at a champagne reception held in honour of the visiting Norwegian.
In a particularly tender moment, Efendi welcomes him to the celebratory party and they embrace in front of a banner that says “Fallen Angel” — the name of his Eurovision 2021 song and the starting point for their whirlwind romance.
“Are you ready for tonight?” she asks.
“Yeah, I’m ready,” he responds, tenderly caressing his very own “Mata Hari.”
The two then sing his song in front of the many cameras, allowing Efendi to show off the English she’s picked up since their last encounter.
Later, the pair dance as Eurovision 2022 singer Nadir Rustamli sings “Fade to Black.”

The 12xal Instagram account shared footage of the pair performing TIX’s Eurovision 2021 entry “Fallen Angel,” giving that broken-hearted song a very happy ending indeed.
Earlier this year, at the MGP 2022 afterparty, TIX spoke with our correspondent Anne about his ongoing love affair with Efendi. He revealed that the “Mata Hari” singer was meant to attend the final of Melodi Grand Prix, but unfortunately she couldn’t secure a visa in time.
“I’m going to give you a scoop, OK,” he says. “Tonight Efendi was actually supposed to come here. We bought the plane tickets but we couldn’t get the visa in time. She was supposed to be on stage with me.”
“But we’ve been FaceTiming so she’s basically been here all evening.”
The “Fallen Angel” hitmaker also says that he will return to Melodi Grand Prix in the future.
“I feel so at home here. I’m just a huge Eurovision fan. I’m going to stay at this arena for years and years and years I bet.”
