Over recent weeks, Jamala has been keeping Ukraine in the spotlight and raising money for those affected by the current war by participating on Taniec z Gwiazdami 2022, Poland’s version of Dancing with the Stars. Despite a number of strong performances, the singer’s journey on the show has now come to an end.
After making it to week six of the Latin and ballroom dancing competition, the Eurovision 2016 champion has sadly been eliminated in sixth place.
Jamala leaves Dancing with the Stars Poland
The latest episode of the programme was dedicated to the iconic film Dirty Dancing. Couples were tasked with channelling their inner Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey while performing dances to songs from the movie’s soundtrack.
Jamala and professional partner Jacek Jeschke took on the rumba, dancing to “She’s Like The Wind” by Patrick Swayze feat. Wendy Fraser.
The “1944” singer wore a green dress that caught the wind as she moved around the floor. Jamala showcased a sensual side to herself that many may not have seen before — not even when she participated in Ukraine’s version of the show, Tantsi z zirkamy.
The jury — comprised of Andrzej Piaseczny, Iwona Pavlović, Michał Malitowski and Andrzej Grabowski — responded in a slightly mixed fashion. But in the end they awarded Jamala and Jacek a score of 30 points out of 40.
Jamala picked up an extra four points during her duel challenge, where the judges voted between two candidates who were put against one another. Competing against construction designer Wiesław Nowobilski in a cha-cha-cha battle, Jamala was named the winner by all four judges.
This gave Jamala and Jacek a total score for the week of 34 points. But with the competition getting fiercer, this landed the pair second to last on the leaderboard.
Once the public votes were combined with they jury’s scores, it was unfortunately Jamala who found herself at the bottom of the pile and had to leave the competition.

Jamala on Taniec z Gwiazdami 2022: Weeks 2-6
Despite being the latest contestant to be eliminated from Taniec z Gwiazdami 2022, Jamala’s time on the show was filled with more highs than lows.
The Eurovision champion topped the leaderboard during the very first week and went on to do so again for the Hometown Glory themed episode in week four.
During her time on Ukraine’s Tantsi z zirkamy 2021, Jamala’s highest score was 31 out of 40. But this time around she broke past that on numerous occasions. This includes achieving a perfect score of 40 for her week five Tango.
Below you’ll find a roundup of the dances Jamala performed during episodes two to six of Taniec z Gwiazdami 2022. You can review our previous article for the results of week one.
The scores for all regular dances and the group freestyle in week four are out of a maximum of 40. The jive marathon in week five saw the remaining seven couples ranked, with first place receiving seven points, second place receiving six points etc. The duel in week six saw each judge vote between two acts paired against one another, with each judge’s vote worth one point (so an act could receive a maximum of four extra points).
The total score for a week based on the combination of multiple dances, which was used to determine the final leaderboard, are shown in brackets.
