They aren’t yet nominated for Grammy Awards. But Konstrakta and MARO have been “submitted for consideration for a nomination” — the first hurdle to get one of those little golden statues.
Konstrakta explained her news in an amusing Instagram Reel set in a busy marketplace.
“I wanted to address the nation and our dear neighbors and to inform you of a great step that has taken place for mankind and that is that Konstrakta is submitted for consideration for a nomination for a Grammy.”

“We were submitted by a member of the Recording Academy and in the period from October 13th to 23d all Grammy voters/Academy members will select the nominees.”
She goes on to explain that she’s been submitted in the “Best New Artist” and “Best Global Music Performance” for “In Corpore Sano.”
“This doesn’t mean I have been nominated for a Grammy yet, but that a member of the Recording Academy submitted Konstrakta for consideration onto the first round ballot and now all Grammy voters will select the nominees who will be announced in November.”
“So what I I really wanted to tell you is spread the word and somehow, with the help of ‘thought pressure,’ we will manage to reach the members of the Academy via our relatives and friends from America, from LA, NY, Chicago and so on. We have a lot of friends everywhere and eventually we will enter the nominations. Let us see that GRAMMY.”
MARO is being considered across eight different categories, including Best New Artist and Best Global Performance, the two categories where Konstrakta is competing.
Members of the academy will evaluate MARO’s performance of “saudade, saudade” from Festival da Cancao 2022 in the latter category.

honestly, why is this a big thing? Everyone can submit songs and it happened that these ladies had someone within the Grammy committee that submitted their songs. They don’t stand a chance to be nominated though.
There are more chances that I get a Grammy before those 2. Like, did these songs even get any success outside the ESC bubble? Even inside the ESC bubble not everybody was 100% in love with them.
It all depends on what the voting members think. Past Grammy winners don’t even have a million views on Youtube.
