Benidorm Fest

¡Sorpresa! All 18 songs for Benidorm Fest 2023 will premiere on Sunday around 19.00 CET, right after the end of the World Cup final.

The songs will be revealed on RTVE Play, the broadcaster’s online platform, and most of them will be available to stream on Monday

RTVE broke the news this morning during the presentation of their Christmas programming. All 18 videos will be first released on Play, together with a four minute long recap.

Then on Monday there will be a press conference with all 18 artists in Madrid, where they will explain their entries. Stay tuned — wiwibloggs will be attending.

After that, artists will start releasing their entries on streaming platforms. Most of them have announced theirs will be available immediately after the press conference, but some will wait a little bit longer. For example, E’Femme confirmed yesterday that their song will be released on Thursday the 22nd.

Right, it’s sorted. The songs have been posted under “Episodios,” so in the Apple TV app (for example), click on “Ver Más,” then “Episodios” and then switch from “Benidorm Fest 2022” to “Benidorm Fest 2023.” Done.

Okay, so I’m starting to receive separate website links to the songs, but the RTVE app itself is only playing the 15-second introduction so far. The technical side is a bit complicated at this point.

It’s not just me. Other people on Twitter are reporting the same technical issues.

Well done to RTVE for slotting that in on Sunday night. I should be around for this one, and I already have the app as well. Should be fun.

I hope this World Cup final gets as few viewers as possible, and then everybody just turns on at the end for the Benidorm songs.

I said I was hoping. I know I will be disappointed. Nobody cares about the thousands of slaves who died, or human rights. Football first.

how does Benidorm , a spainish singing competition have to do with slaves or human rights , the world cup this year has done more action with human rights then benidorm , this is goofy asf omg.

How is that even possible? Somebody’s gonna win.

It’s not possible, unfortunately. Even after 120 minutes of no goals, they will keep kicking penalties until one team “wins”, even if they’ve sold their souls to do it. All for a trophy. Sad.

Me too, I came to terms with the fact that it’s rigged for Argentina to win, and that Argentines will be insufferable bragging about it for years to come, so I don’t mind much about it anymore

Good thing the Spanish already got humiliated by Morocco so they can now focus on the Benidorm tracks only.

And Eurovision is sponsored by Moroccan oil. That is an omen!

And luckily Morocco is out as well, let’s hope that results in one less evening of riots across the continent…

Indeed! Moroccans and Argentines have been quite insufferable these days

Football and sports in general does that to people. It really brings out the crazy and obnoxious sides of people. There is a reason I don’t follow them.

I quit following football bc of that, it was taking its toll on me. The same with many ppl from my country, Mexican football has been getting more boring and frustrating with each passing season

True, Vivian already mentioned Moroccans rioting and mocking Europeans across the continent, and Argentines are freaking out celebrating and not giving a damn about their soaring inflation nor the hunger most of them are going through
