Ukraine will not be silenced. Ten months after Russia launched its ugly war, Ukrainians continue to defend their homeland. And their artists continue to raise their voices — as we’ll see during the final of Vidbir 2023 in Kyiv.
Here’s when and how you can watch the grand final of Vidbir 2023.

Grand Final — 17 December 2022
Time: Part 1 features and the ten performances and runs from 16:00 to 18:00 CET (17:00 to 19:00 Kyiv time).
Then, during a one-hour break, Suspilne Kultura will broadcast a documentary featuring Kalush Orchestra and their journey to Eurovision 2022.
Part 2 starts at 19:00 CET (20:00 Kyiv time).
The Vidbir final will be streamed live on the UA:PBC website, as well as on YouTube.
Ten acts will compete for the chance to represent Ukraine at Eurovision. They are:
1. Moisei – “I’m Not Alone”
2. OY Sound System – “Oy, tuzhu”
3. DEMCHUK – “Alive”
4. Jerry Heil – “When God Shut The Door”
5. FIINKA – “Dovbush”
6. KRUT – “Kolyskova”
7. Tember Blanche – “Ia vdoma”
8. Angelina – “Stronger”
9. 2TONE – “Kvitka”
10. TVORCHI – “Heart Of Steel”
The winner will be chosen by a mixture of public and jury vote, with the jury being made up of Eurovision 2016 winner Jamala, singer Taras Topolia and THE HARDKISS frontwoman Julia Sanina.
The show will be hosted by Kateryna Pavlenko, Zlata Ognevich and Timur Miroshnychenko.

I thought an hour was very long for a voting period, but then I remembered that it’s probably a large cushion to gather enough televotes due to the electricity issues in Ukraine as Ari mentioned.
It seems like Jerry is an early favorite and I bet she’ll do well with the televote, but somehow it feels like a different song will win as a compromise winner (ie not first with either jury or tele). For this I’d guess Kolyskova and maybe Dovbush, Oy tuzhu, or I’m not alone depending on what the public feels at the night.
Maybe a random song could win today , just like 2017. I barely remember that NF season i assume TAYANNA was a clear favourite

But you also can´t compare the actual political situation of with springtime 2022.
I know a few people which are totally sick of supporting Ukraine due to their own problems (it´s not my personal opinion but I already note that)

Daddy chill. ESC 2022 was when the situation was still very fresh, people really wanted to express their support. And they did. I really don’t see any of the current Vidbir songs winning again. Some of them are top 10 worthy though.
Sadly, I will not be able to watch this grand final live, as I will be in a live dress rehearsal for another event that is scheduled at the exact same time as Vidbir.
