Poll: Who should qualify from Eesti Laul 2023 semi-final two?

Since six acts will qualify from the semi-final, we’ve limited the number of votes you can cast to the same amount. You’ll only be able to vote once, so make sure you’re certain before submitting.

Show details

Eesti Laul 2023 begins with two semi-finals on 12 and 14 January, held at Viimsi Artium. Voting will be done over two rounds. The first set of qualifiers will be determined by a 50:50 split of jury and public voting. An additional couple of qualifiers will then be chosen by a second round of purely public voting.

The 12 acts that advance will then compete at the grand final on 11 February in Tondiraba Ice Hall. Again, two rounds of voting will be used. Three superfinalists will initially be selected by 50% jury and 50% televoting. In this superfinal, Estonia’s Eurovision 2023 representative will be chosen through 100% public vote.

Each of the shows will be hosted by Tõnis Niinemets and Grete Kuld.

Who are you hoping to see qualify from semi-final two of Eesti Laul 2023? Do you think any of these acts could go on to win the whole thing? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

if you diss Meelik then you have no taste. Andres Kõpper is a legend and the song is a merfect kick in the tiny light pink balls of Eurovision

Team Sissi here. Her song is beautiful, emotional and very radio friendly. Well produced and has the potential for a great atmospheric staging/performance.

In my opinion, Semi Final 2 is the weaker of the semis. I would only put through 3 of these songs through to the final (whereas I would put 8 through from semi final 1). Since there will be 12 songs in the final this year, it means there will be a slot going spare.
Despite the unusual weighting in the semi finals, Semi Final 2 finishes with possibly my three favourite songs from Eesti Laul this year: ‘Lighthouse’, ‘Whiskey Won’t Forget’, and ‘Bridges’. Of course, I am team Alika this year. 🙂

Eesti Laul is so competitive this year. Many great songs. My 2 favorites from this list are Bridges and Bad Philosophy.

It’s a good feeling to hit that vote button and see your top 6 choices in the top 6 places 🙂

I’d be surprised if any of them miss, too. The bottom songs are interesting, for sure, but strike me as curiosities.

Sheesh, Estonians came to ball this year, and ball they did. That said, I feel like Meelik is going to get Elsa Lila’d by a somewhat worse song with subpar staging… or at least that’s the scars of FiK. #FreeElsa?

Meelik’s Tuju gets my vote here. They create such a lovely mood (I really hope you appreciate what I have done there). The aesthetic, the presentation and the groove are so much my thing that they are quite dangerous for the repeat button.

I do however appreciate that for the contest there are a number of other tracks which tick more boxes for continental success. None of them quite hit the mark for me personally but I can see that three or four of them provide Estonia with some good options for an acceptable result in the contest.

Damn, Eesti Laul is super strong this year!

My favorite here is m els, and I think Meelik’s Tuju is really cute too.

I loved Robin’s Siren, this one is good too, but it’s not as competitive.
Wiiralt have a very dark song and a heavy background story, no matter what happens, it’s good that they are part of this.

I acknoledge that Sissi and Alika are very strong contenders ftw.

However I think Ollie is still the strongest option for Liverpool and I really hope he makes it!

Inger is my favorite from the whole selection, so that’s one I want to see qualified. But also M els, Alika and Meelik.

Robin Juhkental and Meelik through to the superfinal. Please stop supporting the generic English entries all the time, Estonians, you’ve got other options.

Alika all the way. A possible top 10 in Liverpool with this song.

Bridges is like Voila and Euphoria combined in her singing and dancing. Amazing song.
