The second heat of Lithuania’s Pabandom Iš Naujo 2023 was filmed on Monday 23 January. This means we now know the second set of 15 acts and songs who will appear in the televised broadcast on Saturday 28 January.

Pabandom Is Naujo 2023: Heat two acts

  • Antikvariniai Kašpirovskio dantys – “Sėdi ir važiuoji / Sit and Drive”
  • I.T. – “Žinau, tai tu / I know it’s You”
  • Donata – “Dreamer”
  • Matt Len – “Midnight Train”
  • Melona – “Song Of Whispers”
  • Monika Linkyte – “Stay”
  • The PiXLS – “Šaukt / Shout”
  • Viktorija Faith – “If You Ever Miss Me”
  • Agnė – “New Start”
  • Gebrasy – “Saw Your Ghost”
  • Moon Bee – “Rumor”
  • Voldemaras Petersonas – “Things”
  • Petunija – “Love of my life”
  • Beatrich – “Like a Movie”
  • Mario Junes – “Do What You Do”

Some of the acts have already released their songs, but not all.

Nevertheless, now that we have a list of the artists and their song titles, let‘s get to know some of them a little bit more.

Agnė – “New Start”

Agnė Buškevičiute is a trained opera singer who is now starting her solo music career. With her first ever single, “New Start”, she’s going to try her luck at Pabandom Iš Naujo 2023. It will also be the title of Agnė‘s debut album. Hopefully this New Start is going to take the beautiful opera singer to new heights.

Donata – “Dreamer”

Donata Virbilaitė is not a new comer to the Pabandom Iš Naujo stage. She has already participated several times but wasn‘t able to go all the way. Now working as a vocal coach, Donana is not letting go of her dream and is back with her song “Dreamer“. It’s written by Ylva & Linda.

Viktorija Faith – “If You Ever Miss Me”

She is an actress, singer, songwriter and composer of electro dream-pop and dance music. Viktorija Faith is an exciting young performer who lives and performs in London. But now she is back in Lithuania to see if she can be successful here as well. This will be her second time at Pabandom Iš Naujo.

Gebrasy – “Saw Your Ghost”

Audrius Petrauskas, known professionally as Gebrasy, is a well known singer and songwriter in Lithuania. He should also be well known for Pabandom Iš Naujo fans, as this is not his first or second time on this stage. He previously placed second back in 2021, so this year he is one of the favourites to do well once again. Gebrasy always gives great emotional performances.

Antikvariniai Kašpirovskio dantys – “Sėdi ir važiuoji”

If you’re wondering what this group’s stage name means, it translates to “Antique Teeth of Kashpirovsky”. They’re well known in Lithuania, but international fans will also remember them from 2019, when they participated in Lithuania’s national final with the unique and OTT song “Mažulė”. We can bet this time they are also going to bring something extra and different from the other acts in the competition.

Petunija – “Love of my life”

Agnė Šiaulytė, known as Petunija, is a dream pop and indie artist. She’s a member of various electronic and folk music projects, but is also an actress who has had a number of roles in Lithuania‘s TV shows. This will be her third time trying her luck at this national selection.

I.T. – “Žinau, tai tu”

I.T. is a singer, performer, songwriter and actress. “My songs are like my diary and my main thought right now is about self-love and accepting myself as I am” says the singer. While I.T. might be new to some people, she already has some successful songs so this year she’ll be trying her luck at Pabandom Iš Naujo 2023.

Beatrich – “Like a Movie”

Beatrich is a well known singer in Lithuania. Following her hit song “Superstar” back in 2017, she’s been on everyone’s minds to represent Lithuania on the Eurovision stage. Finally the dream might come true, as Beatrich is trying her luck at Pabandom Iš Naujo 2023 with the upbeat pop song “Like a Movie“.

Mario Junes – “Do What You Do”

A Lithuanian singer-songwriter based in Vilnius, Mario Junes is still quite a new name in the music industry. However, he might surprise a lot of people. The bright lights and effects, his strong voice, and the rhythms of his entry moved many of the listeners gathered backstage at the filming for heat two. So TV viewers can expect a similar effect on Saturday.

Monika Linkytė – “Stay”

Lithuania’s Eurovision 2015 star is back. After having to withdraw from Pabandom Is Naujo 2022 for health reasons, Monika has had a very successful year of releasing hit songs. Now following the success of her namesake Monika Liu, Linkytė will be hoping to keep the Monika winning streak going. Her song “Stay“ has not yet been released. But knowing Monika Linkytė, it could very well be a powerful ballad.

Tune in this Saturday to see which ten acts will be the qualifiers from heat two of Pabandom Is Naujo 2023.

Who do you think will qualify for the semi-finals? And which song are you most excited to hear on Saturday? Let us know in the comments below.

With almost all of the songs out and having had a chance to listen to them all, I think it’s fair to say that this is definitely the stronger heat of the two. Even the “weaker” songs here are much more bearable to listen to than the other heat.

still, a live performance can ruin a good song, or elevate an OK one. Anything can happen I wish everyone good luck.

Do you wanna know something funny? I mistakenly thought Gebrasy’s song was called got your ghost instead of saw your ghost. I just misread the title.

Does anyone know if you can stream the show after it’s been on television. Find LRTs website very difficult to navigate and havnt had any luck coming across last week’s show. Hoping to watch this weekends show later in the evening if possible.

Three more songs have been released today! They are Voldemaras Petersonas with “Things”, The PiXLS with “Šaukt / Shout”, and I.T. – “Žinau, tai tu / I know it’s You”. I’ll report back later when I get a chance to listen to those three songs and give you my opinions.

OK, I just listen to Gebrasy and Mario Junes’ songs and I’ve got to say, they are definitely feel like the top of the class for this heat, and join petunija as my top 3. Six songs are out for heat two and already This is feeling like a stronger heat than heat 1. I feel like the good stuff is finally coming out for Lithuania.

It’s sad that Gebrasy seems to be on a downward spiral. I still think of him as a great artist, but that makes it even more obvious that he can do so much better. He also looks not that confident, something feels off.

I’ve heard the song of Monika Linkyte and tbh it’s the only one that could beat Petunija in the final. It’s gonna be between two of them

Maybe he was in the studio when LRT was filming heat 2. Also she will perform her song tomorrow in Kaunas, on Friday in Vilnius

Oh yeah, heat 2 was recorded yesterday. I wonder if there’s anybody who attended I can give us some juicy, sneak previews of the acts and hint at who did well, and who flopped.

I’m really enjoying Donata’s Dreamer, it is so uplifting and I really like that. Gebrasy’s song is pretty good but there are questionable lyrics – in the first line, I’m sure it should be “wasn’t enough” and that is off putting so early in the song. Also, I’m not keen on him keeping all the clothes, that’s a bit creepy. Petunija’s effort is in the classic Eurovision ballad sweet spot and I predict it will do very well. It’s sitting in the region of an 8/10 for me on first listen but I can tell some people will really connect… Read more »

Gebrasy is realiably great! At first listening, this isn’t as flawless as Where’d You Wanna Go, but it’s just as good as Into Your Arms. Considering the blandness of the first semi, semi two is already a considerably superior one. Gebrasy and Donata are contenders for me, with Petunija also having a good song (and I have to listen to it again). Moreover, Agne and Viktorija would both be in my top 3 had they competed in semi 1.

Gebrassy’s song isn’t quite as good as “Where’d You Wanna Go” but it’s better than “Into Your Arms”. That’s pretty decent. I think it’s stronger than anything in the first heat and he’s definitely a contender for the win here.

It’s available on Deezer where I am for some reason.
I thought it was strange considering he’s premiere-ing it in four hours on Youtube but I’m not complaining!

I meant I was disappointed when I heard the snippet because it wasn’t what I expected out of Beatrich, but I’ll give the full version a chance when she performs it this Saturday

petunija’s song is amazing, top 10 material in my opinion. i didn’t really like the snippet i heard of beatrich’s song but i hope she will surprise me with the whole package because i’ve wanted her for lithuania for years. lithuania will win this decade, maybe not this year but for sure this decade. i just know it

I also want Lithuania to win Eurovision one day. It’s about time the Baltic region be completed after Estonia and Latvia winning over 20 years ago. I don’t believe it will happen this year but I’m with you that it might happen for Lithuania sometime this decade. Even if they don’t do well this year, there’s always next year. Wouldn’t it be amazing if Lithuania won in 2024, exactly 30 years after their disastrous debut? From zero (points) to hero. That would be a cool story.

I was wondering if we were going to have more songs released for this heat it seems like we get two new releases tomorrow.
