Reiley and Soren are Denmark’s best options. Reiley has the most current and fresh song, while Soren will stand out because the song feels really personal and sweet. The rest doesn’t really stand out I think, although this year’s DMGP is certainly a step up from the last couple of years.

All the songs are bad! But I prefer that at least a handsome guy wins, one of the two guys on the left in the picture. In any case, they won’t qualify for the final, that’s for sure!

I like Reiley here.

Reiley all the way

Reiley or Soren would give them the best chances to stand out.

Again though, Denmark have given us a selection devoid of bravery or creativity. Will be very hard to qualify with whatever they send…but good luck!

I voted for Nicklas since I’m a huge fan of rock and metal (and violent pop, thank you Blind Channel)
Also, I don’t know what it is about his appearance, but he looks so Scandinavian to me, kinda dig the vibe he gives off lol

Last time Denmark sent a bearded viking type, they ended up in top 10 (top 5 with the public)… soo…

Not to mention my personal bias for Rasmussen (my 2nd favorite song in Eurovision history lol)
We need more entries like Higher Ground from Denmark, this was so good

I love higher ground. That is probably the last danish Eurovision entry that I enjoy. I haven’t been so keen on on the last few entries (although I do like yes from 2020).

I hope he wins, the rest are being bland radio fillers at best.

And he handsome!

Reiley’s song is really good! I’m not sure why people are counting him out.

He always has a clearly defined aesthetic, so I’m sure his visuals for Eurovision will be on point. It also helps that he’s a familiar face for a lot of Gen Z people, I instantly recognized him as ”that singer from TikTok”. I think he’s Denmark’s only hope for qualifying in Liverpool.

Denmark on their way to fail to qualify for the third time in a row, let’s go! 😀

None of these entries are good enough to qualify, but I guess Freedom is the least stereotypical DMGP song which could work well, if it doesn’t go down the path Reddi did last year with terrible staging and all that jazz

All the songs from Danks Melodi Generisk Prix sound the same. At least pick one that is in Danish so that at least it stands out a little in Liverpool.

Nicklass’ song is a bop, it’s already on my playlist. Classic rock entry, but he sells it very well. And would be a great moment in Liverpool.

Poor NF. Nothing sticks out.

Now to copy and paste this comment in the Supernova post.

Maybe, but I don’t think it’s the worst national final we’ve got . I think it’s a slight step up from last year because there’s at least something I like in the selection while I liked nothing from last year’s selection.

I’m hoping Denmark steps up their game and becomes on par with the other 4 Nordics.

“They say I’ll get better with time, but I’m not a bottle of wine…” is my favourite part.

No special reason, I just think it’s a good lyric. I believe this song to be about infatuation, not love. Everyone telling her she will get better are right.

“He was like fire and rain, some people call it insane” would be my least favourite part. Suggests bi-polar, not insanity. I think of what Colin said about this being in the 19th century, which makes me more forgiving to such ignorance.

They should be stripped of their medical licenses.

This year marks the 60th anniversary of the classic Dansevise, Soren Torpegaard’s Lige her seems like a fitting tribute aside from being the best option in the lineup anyway.

I quite agree. It had reminded me instantly of “Skibet skal sejle i nat”, which can only be a good thing.

Don’t understand the fandom’s hype for EYJAA. For me, Reiley and Nicklas Sonne are standouts. I don’t get how people can say this is the worst national final this year. There are some actual potential good chart pop songs here unlike last year and after the MESC scandal, I think we can forgive this one.

I think this NF is ok, maybe not the best, definitely not tragic. People like to be dramatic. Btw Nicklas and Reiley are also my favourites.

Good to see someone finally not jumping on the EYJAA train or being unnecessary harsh to this NF.. its not that bad but seems like it dosnt matter what we get from DR people are gonna bash it anyway.. im sure had Reiley or Sonne or even Frederik Leopold competed in Melodi festivalen then they would’ve been welcomed with a lot less critism.. Ofcause some of the songs couldve been better but overall a nice selection in my opinion.. EYJAA isnt bad either but its nothing special.. fans seem think we should sent country styled pop all the time.. I… Read more »
