Maxine Pace. Alone Brilliant song
My top 5 for tonight :
1. Brooke
2. The Busker
3. Ryan Hili
4. Maxine Pace
5. Cheryl Balzan
maxine pace – alone is a good, maybe the best option and why?
this song and singer is ready for liverpool – no revamp ect. needed.
second good option but with more risk is the act “the busker”.
It’s not like it matters what song they pick. They will end up sending a completely different song in the end.
Or not even qualify, but anything can happen
Malta should go back to the process that worked for them in 2019 and 2020/2021 with Michela and Destiny.
You mean an X Factor with Chiara, Ira Losco and Mary Spiteri as contestants?
The Busker.
The Busker or Brooke Borg for me.
I think its Brooke The winner by Juries & Maltese people
Nothing is good in this NF but I’d pick Busker over Brooke 100%.
Definitely Team Brooke on this one!!
All of them are terrible and cheap as h€ll.
I mean the Brooke’s song is straight up Mello 2014 reject, Maxine is boring bland ballad and the rest is not worth mentioning…
Maybe only The Busker are beatable contestant..
If they go with Brooke, they’ll see the flop in odds, so they’ll change the song for something even more mediocre, flop the semi and go home
To be fair, half of the Swedish songs are out and they’re so bad that Brooke wouldn’t be out of place there at all.
Honestly! Like Wiktoria’s and Maria’s songs are just as crap as Brooke’s!
Honestly, they’re even worse. I’m not looking for reasons to bash Melodifestivalen, they just keep hitting me in the face when I dare to check out the songs. Either they have absolutely nothing this year, or they are saving what little they have for last.
The fact Loreen, Axel & Mariette are all in Semi 4 makes me feel like the first 3 heats will be trash while the 4th will be jampacked.
I’m not holding my breath after what Wiktoria sent. So weak.
Yea. I was never a fan of any of her songs but wow this one is so weak.
I’m excited for Mariette, Axel & Loreen but if they’re also weak it wouldn’t shock me.
Imagine Wiktoria wins MF and Sweden stays in the semi lol.
That should have happened in 2021 already.
LOL
My introduction to MF was 2018 and I had an insanely fun time watching and 2019 was good too but 2020 and after I barely liked anything. Unlucky.
Mello’s quality has been declining year after year. But I didn’t expect to be disappointed by Wiktoria so far this year .-.
You could legit argue that two heats in, Checkmate would actually be the best song so far.
That´s the bitter truth !
The odds re can’t get much worse…..
Chiara Siracusa.
The Busker !
Sorry, but I don´t like the Scandinavian sound of Brooke´s song.
It will probably be another ESC in vain for Malta
Christian Arding. 🙂
No one. They do not appreciate their best artist with the full package, and they did not treat him well – they do not deserve to go to the final (not even semifinal).
Malta did not do that to Aidan, PBS did. Also, if Aidan was as innocent as you believe, he would have proceeded with legal action, and I would have supported that.
Malta deserves a chance!
The main problem is those rules were senseless and many of other singers broke them. But thry had problems with Aidan only.
Has to be The Busker.
Malta struggled with televote even before it became 100% of the semi final voting. They NEED to go with something that appeals this year, otherwise, they’re going nowhere.
I think the busker is maltas only option for the grand final especially since semi finals are televote only, I reckon brooke would be a sure nq. Every other song is just bland
Aidan!!!!! !!
No one
When it comes to being the full package, Brooke is the only choice. She’s just such an absolute powerhouse and her song and performance are very strong too (although I don’t like the purple dress but whatever). However, with the voting system in place for the semi’s, I just don’t see her qualifying from the first half of THAT semi-final, she’d need jury support for that. So I think its better for Malta to take the “risk” with The Busker.
It’s always kind of unfair that it doesn’t matter which song they’ll choose, they might, can and will change the song
I mean, they did that last year – because the song was bland af and the fans pretty much demanded they change it (unfortunately the replacement song was equally bad). That isn’t actually typical. They reserve the right to change the song, but they don’t normally do so. I think it has happened twice since I have been following the contest. “Will” is a strong word there. They most likely won’t unless the artist or audience are really insistant about it.
Lets not forget they did it in 2016 as well…
Wouldn’t be a bad idea this year. It can only be an improvement from what they have now.
