After two heats and one-semi-final, it was time for the Pabandom iš Naujo! 2023 second semi-final. Ten acts sang for five spots in Lithuania’s final to win a ticket to Liverpool.
Fan favourite Rūta Mur won last week’s semi-final, just ahead of Petunija. Meanwhile, Il Senso won the show’s televote. As ever, it shows that Lithuania’s selection can be full of surprises.
Tonight, heat two winner Beatrich competed against Eurovision 2015 alumna Monika Linkytė in what promises to be a tight race. Like the second heat, Beatrich emerged victorious this round while also claiming the jury vote. MoonBee meanwhile won the televoting.
As usual, the result of tonight’s show were determined by the Lithuanian public and a jury. The show was recorded earlier this week, when the jury also gave out their points. Tonight, the Lithuanian public could vote for their favourite act by SMS. Their points were added up at the end of the programme.
The show was broadcast live on YouTube on LRT Lituanica and on the livestream on LRT.lt’s website.

Are you satisfied with the result of Pabandom iš Naujo! 2023’s semi-final two? And who should win next week? Let us know in the comments down below!
Gonna need that studio version of “Like a Movie” soon. Maybe it doesn’t matter, but I hope Beatrich isn’t leaving votes on the table…
There’s still no studio release of like a movie? Are you worried that she won’t win this Saturday? She did win the jury for semifinal, two, and while she finished third with the televote, if you look at the results of the 2nd to 4th placers by votes, it’s actually very close because they all reached over 1300 votes but they’re separated by mere double digits.
So glad Paulina advanced <3
By far the best song
Even it is sad song but just Petunija this year gives heart beat faster??
Vibes of very good movie soundtrack !
i love both beatrich and ruta mur, they bring two different vibes i adore. two artists with personality. i’d be happy with either of them winning PiN, with a slight preference for ruta.
Same, albeit I lean more towards Beatrich, manly because I think it would be a great closer for semifinal two as Lithuania in the second half. But whoever wins, I’ll be a good sport Next week. And Lithuania is going to get the spotlight because it’s the only final that week as Sweden and Iceland are in still in their heat/semifinal round.
Okay, Gebrasy is now out too… So, Lithuania will be the Baltic country without a song on my playlist this year. That’s fine. I loved The Roop and Monika Liu. Now, it’s time for them to join the middle of my list or lower.
who prevents adding a song to a playlist? I have the one that did not even make to semis on my regular playlist (the one that has nothing to do with ESC)
On an ESC playlist, of course. A NF playlist exists, and he’s there.
Not Midbrasy, please.
Gebrasy is so mid every year… there was no chance he would win.
yeah – moon bee is flying to the moon soon.
🙂
Hey, I just realized both semi finals have something in common. Both of them have the heat fifth placers switched up and promoted to second place in the semi finals, and they both have baffling televote winners.
Matt Len was robbed. His song is amazing and that staging was mesmerizing. How on Earth Moon Bee was first with the televotes when she was only 6th with the televotes in heat 2? Moon Bee was 1K televotes ahead of the 2nd place. What is going on here?
SIM car spoofing. It’s a tradition at PIN at this point 😀 These spoofers will be dead last in the final, because the amount of authentic votes will be much higher, in tens of thousands.
Now that we have our 10 finalists, who do you think should represent Lithuania? Who do you think the real public will go for? I’m hoping for Beatrich because I think her song would be a great closure for semifinal two since Lithuania is in the second half, but we’ll see what happens next week.
Beatrich, Ruta Mur or Monika will win. I would say jury will go for Beatrich. Televote is unpredictable though, all favorites got very similar amounts of votes this year. It will be a close one.
These are the strongest entries, but I would love to see Paulina and Petunija maybe in that list… it is down to jury after all…
I think all five would be a great top five for the selection.
It’s still Petunija and Beatrich as the preferred options for me.
I’m gonna throw Paulina in there too after tonight’s performance.
The televote result here is an absurd joke.
It’s a bummer if that knocked Gebrasy out of the final. I like his song.
I’m so glad that Paulina is rising! That girl can sing her heart out and I definitely think that Let Me Think About Me can be turned into a really unique package by the time Eurovision comes around
I’m on the edge to see the final, seems like Petunija or Beatrich will top the jury and the televote seems unpredictable for the moment
The harness was falling off all the time. I said that she needed to leave it for the muscle gays 😀 Anyway, I like the song. It’s a bop.
I found it looks really nice on her, considering the style of the song.
Poor Gebrasy. From having a contender a couple of years ago to not even qualifying to the final. He needs to take a break from PiN, work on his stage presence and only come back when he has THE song. I don’t want to see him becoming the Markus Riva of Lithuania.
Lithuania already has its Markus Riva. It’s Aiste Pilvelyte 😀
Hahaha, can’t say I disagree. In any case, he’s a talented guy, but trying again this year with a so-so song was a terrible decision to his image.
I agree. He must take a break from PiN and make his mind up. His song wasn’t bad, it could be a finalist had he worked on his stage presence.
I think Gebrasy need to take a break. He’s been doing is three years in a row and he did participate in prior years too. I think he needs to take a year or two off from competing in PIN and come back when he’s got a strong product after a break.
I think the song was quite forgettable compared with the previous ones. This instant comparison is always tricky. When you go to a contest and do well, you need to think twice about coming back right after.
I mean, “Rumor” isn’t the song you would thought would get the 12 points from the televote. Anyway, I’m glad the jury still appreciate Beatrich. To be honest, I feel like Beatrich and Ruta (maybe Gabrielius) are the only possible choices this year for Lithuania. Both are quality material paired with superb and charismatic artists.
That was a fake voting with tons of prepaid sims. Some people to that do get many votes.
Well, it happened in the final too or will things settle out?
There most definitely be fake voting even in the final. But Lithuanians vote much more actively during the final than in heats/semifinals. So it won’t help at the end.
Finally good qualifiers!
Moon Bee??? That’s a surprise
That was definitely fake voting from buying mass of prepaid sims.
Good that jury can put things into places 🙂
I guess like jury says its between Monika, Beatrich and Paulina. I can’t wait for Gebrasy to find his shoe to fit his feet in for Eurovision to represent Lithuania. I think it is still not his time yet. The worst for me is Kaspirovskio.
I’m sorry, I really like AKD, they’re funny!
lyrics are hysterical. like the line where they interrupt mid sentence “hey, take over that newb!”
No need to be sorry, everyone has it’s own 🙂
Duncan Laurence will now perform his song!
Flawless like always
Very different yet nice sound. Well done! But is it just for me, or did you also get Freddie vibes at times?
Yep, I did , though Freddy is almost impossible to beat 🙂
i’m not jealous of anyone. as a lithuanian i literally have nobody to vote for. Voting numbers display that glaringly. All songs (including sf1) are meh at best
wrong reply, trying to figure out how to delete
sadly, he wa sleages above anyone in this competition. My disapointment was even more deepened after his song.
Wholeheartedly disagree. Let’s put jealousy aside
i’m not jealous of anyone. as a lithuanian i literally have nobody to vote for. Voting numbers display that glaringly. All songs (including sf1) are meh at best
to be fair THAT and voting costs 0,6€ per vote
Duncan liked Beatrich tonight the most. The song is easily memorable. Just like Paulina, she should rock the stage more confidently. Pop songs are pop songs, but when it become cliche… ahhh. Nevertheless, Beatrich is a star and my favourite tonight.
Ieva (and Ramunas) liked Beatrich the most. Though the song lyrics have some cliches, like Duncan said. But she don’t think it’s going to be the problem. Mario Junes is a gem of this national selection. Wow.
Oh, and she didn’t like AKD at all.
Vaidotas thinks that Beatrich’s performance is fine but should be nailed. Maybe some work with cameras was missing. Mario Junes delivered great choreography. The way camera, lights and Mario’s moves worked was excellent. However, the song at the end became too monotonous. AKD was shiny and all, but it’s not right to represent Lithuania
Monika doesn’t think AKD funky style will be nice to see in Europe, especially in the atmosphere of war. Mario Junes was great. Beatrich was a monster with raging power and freedom. Very inspiring. There was discussion regarding the lyrics, but we have examples like “Toy” when lyrics don’t matter much and it fits for the general public.
AKD is my least favourite performance tonight. It was the only song when I was thinking if those 3 minutes will finally end.
Lol I can see I’m alone supporting AKD tonight
Mario Junes delivering some sexy time for us ??
Beatrich KILLED IT
BEATRICH time, yay!
Okay, so we have 2 superstars, Beatrich and Paulina. Looks like a strong year for PIN after all.
I think at the very least, you’re gonna have a very strong final. We had to filter a lot of crap to get to the gems. Fortunately, you guys are going to have your time to shine next week because out of the three shows next Saturday, you’re the only selection that’s going to have a final at night.
She is fantastic all the way
Monika liked the three acts and MoonBee was a pleasant surprise. Done very well. She liked Gebrasy’s special effects. Monika Linkyte was very strong, one of the strongest contenders this year.
Ieva Narkute (and Ramunas), liked Monika Linkyte a lot. She likes how Monika evolved and found her true voice. All the changes were very accurate. Ending was amazing. MoonBee was very professional. Gebrasy is a mistery – he’s very talented as a songwriter, but she misses something on the stage.
Duncan liked Monika Linkyte’s and MoonBee songs. Both songs were very interesting at the start but lost interest from the second part. Especially with MoonBee case, very L.A. style. Those acts miss to translate songs into the stage, they aren’t connected together.
Vaidotas said all the three improved from heats. Monika Linkyte should keep up the power to the end, there were times when it looked like she’s not confident enough. Gebrasy didn’t look confident either. Ghost effect is great, but he would move it to the beginning of the performance. He would second Duncan on that MoonBee’s song was interesting at the start but it loses interest the further you listen to.
I had written-off this hippie movement, but now… Performances done tonight are much stronger than during the SF1.
There is noone I don’t like tbh.
Gebrasy pulling off those visuals !!! I have a lot of love for this man who is all in the music by producing for half of lithuanian artists, sings himself, supports other vocalists as back singer etc. Powerful performance.
Was he that much improved tonight!? 😮
Ps: I really hope he goes to Eurovision himself one day, he’s very talented!
He was powerful today, in my eyes.
Monika improved a lot, wow that ending was epic
Monika Linkyte’s ending was epic!
Loved it, I like that she brought back vocalists to the front.
Vaidotas and Monika put Paulina as their favourite from the first 4 acts.
Duncan was also pointing about how Paulina was great, but she needs to nail her choreography just as she did with her vocals. He also said that she should start think of herself as a superstar.
Ieva Narkute also put Paulina as her favourite. Other acts also improved according to her.
Ramunas Zilnys won’t talk much because he’s sick. His voice ambassador is Ieva. 🙂
Matt Len should dressed up as Witcher and his colleague as Ciri.
Here we go again! Beatrich, Paulina, Mario Junes, Monika Linkyte and Agne go go!
Paulina is so cute, I feel that she needs something else on the stage to support her.
Yeah, it kinda looks like she’s missing something, especially on the second part of her performance. On the other hand, the song is about giving a chance to think about yourself, your feelings, etc. It sort of makes sense to see her not chasing a man? I don’t know, maybe some dancers in the background would be nice, but the main focus should still be her.
Totally, I also can’t put a finger on what’s missing.
Exciting
