After a busy Saturday last weekend with seven countries choosing their Eurovision 2023 entries, this Saturday is all about one country in particular — Lithuania’s Pabandom iš Naujo is the only national selection grand final this weekend.

Thirty acts have shrunk down to ten over the past four weeks, with each act having to go through a heat and a semi-final. With a wide and varied field, the Lithuanian jury and public has plenty of choice for their song for Liverpool.

Ahead of the grand final, we asked you to name your favourites. After counting 1,336 votes, the results are in.

Rūta Mur is a favourite to win Pabandom iš Naujo 2023

In the end, you put Rūta Mur on top with her hypnotic anthem “So Low”. She received 298 votes. That’s 22.31% in total.

Rūta won the first heat and the first semi-final of the national selection. Will she able to top the voting on Saturday too?

“Like A Movie” singer Beatrich finished second in our poll. She collected a total of 261 votes or roughly 19.54%. Like Rūta, Beatrich also won both her heat and semi-final seamlessly, giving her the right to call herself a favourite for Saturday’s show.

Former Lietuvos Balsas contestant Paulina Paukštaitytė has gathered a significant amount of fans for her Pabandom iš Naujo entry “Let Me Think About Me” in the past few weeks. This translated into her finishing third overall in the poll with 230 votes, which is 17.22% of the total votes cast.

Full results: Who should win Pabandom iš Naujo 2023 and represent Lithuania at Eurovision?

  1. Rūta Mur – “So Low” – 22.31%, 298 votes
  2. Beatrich – “Like A Movie” – 19.54%, 261 votes
  3. Paulina Paukštaitytė – “Let Me Think About Me” – 17.22%, 230 votes
  4. Petunija – “Love of my life” – 13.85%, 185 votes
  5. Gabrielius Vagelis – “Šauksmas” – 8.91%, 119 votes
  6. Monika Linkytė – “Stay” – 6.96%, 93 votes
  7. Justė Kraujelytė – “Need More Fun” – 3.22%, 43 votes
  8. Mario Junes – “Do What You Do” – 3.07%, 41 votes
  9. MoonBee – “Rumor” – 2.54%, 34 votes
  10. Il Senso – “Sparnai” – 2.40%, 32 votes

Total Votes: 1,336

Are you surprised with the results or do you think Rūta Mur already has the Pabandom iš Naujo 2023 trophy in her pocket? Who will you be rooting for during the grand final? Let us know in the comments down below!

Tonight’s the night, but I want to reiterate something. We all have our favorites, but there can only be one winner, and it will be inevitable somebody is going to lose out. Whatever happens, happens, and whether the winner is your favorite or not, I want you all to respect the result and winner. Yes, it’s okay to feel disappointed and sad if your favorite doesn’t win, but I want no temper tantrums with Lithuania tonight whatever the outcome will be. I wish the finalists good luck tonight and May the best one win.

It’s sad that Wiwi team didn’t react to any Lithuanian song from final.

I can perfectly understand not reacting to every song here, but not even doing a reaction to the finalists? Disappointing but oh well.

I prefer Beatrich but with Ruta Mur, it’s an another good choice for Lithuania.

I love also Petunija & Paulina. Please no Il Senso or MoonBee !

After comparing, my veredict is that Ruta Mur can offer something capable of standing out. Lithuania has a quite interesting musical industry and I can see it celebrating the contest with organization (or at least be better than Israel or Torino’s infamous black sun).

Yeeesss, please Ruta Mur!! Then Lithuania would be once again my favourite country this year (after 2020)

Seems like Lithuania will go for a throwback sound, whether it’s the 80s (Ruta) or the 00s (Beatrich). While neither song is my top 5 of the overall selection, both are interesting in their own way, and both performers nail the atmosphere they are going for. Between the two, I’d probably go with Beatrich. My picks are still Gabrielius and Petunija. I wouldn’t mind if by some random, surprising chance Mario or Paulina end-up winning either. These six aren’t *that* far off in my ranking. It will be a fun night!

I like both Ruta Mur and Beatrich but I lean towards Ruta Mur. Beatrich’s song sounds like from a stupid romcom movie with Kirsten Dunst that you loved as a teenager and Ruta Mur’s song hits harder with those sad electronic vibes and reminds of an unanswered love interest we all experienced at some time.

It feels like Paulina would be a shocking winner and I love it. Although it’s highly unlikely she will win, I’ll vote for her tonigh nevertheless. Go go girl!

I wouldn’t be surprised if that was the top 6. Those are the songs that grabbed my attention the most and the ones ive heard people talk about the most.

I really hope that Ruta wins it tomorrow. It doesn’t feel like we have anything quite like it in the contest at the moment. I really enjoy the sad disco theme, it is an interesting juxtaposition and something which hammers home the emotion very effectively. Plus Ruta herself is an extremely talented and unique vocalist and performs very well, there is very little difference between the live and studio track. I sense that Ruta has an element of marmite about her, but in ESC, I see this as a good thing because there will be a lot of people who… Read more »

Both Ruta and Beatrich would be superb options for Lithuania. Though I love both I have to go for Ruta. I was totally hypnotised by her voice and the synth. I need to have it in Eurovision.

It’s interesting that Beatrich is first in the Lithuanian betting odds with a massive gap from second place – Ruta Mur. Beatrich has the lowest odds ever recorded in PIN, even lower than The Roop in 2020. Of course, odds are odds, but they kinda show who Lithuanians are really expecting to win…

What international fans want to win a NF and what the people in the country want are often quite different.

Betting odds only represent what bettors think and they are the minority. Current betting odds don’t make sense to me. They indicate that Beatrich will have a landslide win and that just doesn’t seem like it. She won the televoting only once and it was by a small margin. Everything can change in the final. Ruta Mur or even Paulina or Petunija still have a chance at winning.

This would be another of these cases like Croatia this year. One of the favorites to win but after winning abandoned by everyone and put last. I also see this being last in the semi, so Beatrich ftw and it’s not even close

for those saying beatrich is dated. it really isn’t. it’s very avril lavigne and avril still makes music like this just check out her latest singles.

I think Il Senso – Sparnai is the best and after that Beatrice her song makes me smile
Ruta Mur stage presence is cool, the song is cool but the voice is to harsch I don’t really feel it. I think the song is great actually

I’d go with Ruta as I think it will have bigger impact on the Eurovision stage. I don’t like Beatrich – she is good vocalist but this song is meh and will easily get lost in Liverpool.

Let Me Think About Me deserves to win, the fact it’s 3rd is criminal.

Paulina has incredible live vocals and she doesn’t need any props on stage because her stage presence is so powerful. The song really sounds like something Astrid S would release, it’s pop perfection that has a slight Scandi vibe.

She seems to be getting started, I hope she discovers her style but anyways, her becoming famous would be sort of something we haven’t seen before bc there’s not many globally famous Lithuanians

Seen quite a few reactors on Youtube and other comments attacking Ruta’s song and I think it’s unfair. Her song stands out and she has the best vocals so she SHOULD be the favourite to win. I think it could do well at Eurovision with the right staging and that telephone box is PERFECT for Liverpool/UK hosting! She has definitely lost momentum recently but still deserves to go!

Maybe these people are also dismissing Ruta because of her “unconventional” look and really low voice? So low of them, indeed.

Having a red telephone box on stage in UK is kinda cheesy and desperate, don’t you think?

The lyrics allude to the music video and deeper meaning of why the song had to be written.

Same reason why Ollie and the Bedwetters were getting hype in Estonia, eurofans are nostalgic for these very dated typical 2000’s style pop-rock tracks.

I don’t think it’s trash but I understand your point…they have better options…Like a Movie is forgettable and generic although she is a nice performer…last year everyone would have agreed that the song is dated…now this year everyone is saying to outdated rock songs that they are nostalgic…I am so done with that nonsense…but everyone can have it’s own opinion
