With every passing day, more and more acts are joining the Eurovision 2023 party. We now have 21 entries for the contest and the competition is shaping up.
Therefore, it’s time for us to pose the question to you once again: Who is your favourite Eurovision 2023 act so far?
Croatia’s Let 3 emerged victorious in our last poll. But with six new acts now in the game, they’ll need to battle fresh blood to retain pole position.
Scroll down to vote in our poll
Eurovision 2023 acts: New additions
Lithuania: Monika Linkytė – “Stay”
Monika Linkytė is making a return to Eurovision, having first participated in 2015 alongside Vaidas Baumila. This time she’s competing solo with the song “Stay”. Monika fought off stiff competition at Pabandom iš naujo to be selected. After winning the jury vote and finishing second with the televote, she was tied for first place. However, luckily for Monika, the jury were the ones to break the tie.
France: La Zarra – “Évidemment“
France have put their national selection on hold in order to internally select La Zarra for Eurovision 2023. The Canadian singer based in France won over the French delegation with her song “Évidemment“. Now that it’s been released, the French disco tune is also beginning to win over fans — but has La Zarra won over enough to secure victory in this poll?
Australia: Voyager – “Promise”
Australia are another country ditching their national final in favour of internal selection this year. Voyager finished second at Eurovision – Australia Decides in 2022, but now they’ve been given a direct ticket to the contest. Thus, 2023 marks the first year that Australia have not sent a solo singer to Eurovision. Voyager will be coming to Liverpool with the song “Promise”.
Finland: Käärijä – “Cha Cha Cha”
Get those dancing shoes on, because we’ll all be doing the “Cha Cha Cha” in May thanks to Käärijä. He had a resounding victory at Finland’s UMK 2023, picking up 45% of all the points in the final. The last time the country sent an act in the Finnish language was 2015, when Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät finished last in their semi-final. So the only way for Käärijä to go is up!
San Marino: Piqued Jacks – “Like An Animal”
Una voce per San Marino 2023 featured 106 semi-finalists. In the end, it was Piqued Jacks who managed to push their way to the top of the pile. They became the eighth band to be selected for Eurovision this year. They’ll hit the Liverpool stage with the song “Like An Animal”.
Poland: Blanka – “Solo”
The latest addition to the line-up is Blanka. She beat off some strong fan favourites to be crowned the winner of Poland’s national selection, Tu bije serce Europy! Wybieramy hit na Eurowizję. Blanka is bringing the summer heat to Europe a few seasons early with her Latin-inspired single “Solo”.
Previously chosen acts
- Albania: Albina & Familja Kelmendi – “Duje”

- Czechia: Vesna – “My Sister’s Crown”
- Denmark: Reiley – “Breaking My Heart”
- Estonia: ALIKA – “Bridges”
- Ireland: Wild Youth – “We Are One”

Poll: Who is your favourite Eurovision 2023 act so far? (27 February)
You are able to vote for as many acts as you want to in the poll. But as always, you’ll only be able to vote once!
Who did you vote for? How do you think Eurovision 2023 is shaping up so far? Let us know in the comments below.
The Best voice with diference is Spain so far!!!
Mama SC
Unique, abnormally meaningful circus that will leave no one indifferent.
Can’t wait to see the ESC staging!
Best : Alika, Alessandra – Queen of Kings worst: Poland – this girl can’t sing 🙂
At this moment, I am loving the sophistication of France but also the outright loonies of Finland! Thank you, Finland. The contest needs songs like this.
My favorites are ?taly’s song so far but I also have high expectations from Netherlands.
La Zarra from FR. But probably i’ll be very impressed of The Netherlands and U.K (if Birdy is their representer) so things are about to change for me.
Ok people an early test run here
Click plus for KARRIJA
click minus for LOREEN
GO and let’s test the real result ……..
I think Malta should be getting more love. It’s fresh and breezy. Handsome guy too.
Évidemment had my heart from the first listen, Cha Cha Cha is my second favorite.
UNICORN BY NOA KIREL(:
…isn’t even out yet genius
When it comes to male vocal this year, Marco Mengoni is beyond everybody else. He sings like an angel .
I really enjoy Kaaria, he is my favorite in the moment but we have many more songs to hear.
Also I love Aija from Latvia, ofcourse Mengoni and Mama Š?.
My bottom is Poland, Its really sad that they jury decide all.
Love Finland song but after watching it few times its clear this is playback. I hope he is able to perform as well during Eurovision where playback is not allowed
UMK has the same rules about playback as ESC. Käärijä usually performs with two backing vocalists, you can see them in the music video. But since they weren’t on the UMK stage, their parts were pre-recorded.
Might be, but there are few instances where the voice (which looks as its his part) continues even after he moves mic away. But of course I might be wrong.
I am amazed that he can perform this intensive piece with all the dancing. Great stuff
It is not at all uncommon to have backups that sound and awful lot like the lead. It is also not uncommon at all in Eurovision for the backup to sing ‘lead’ lines at times. We’ll see if this is the case with him. There will be many opportunities to hear him live in the next 10 weeks.
Nope. In UMK artists must sing live. It has been actually a problem in the contest many years with the mixing of the music. A lot of artists struggles to stay in key which happened to Benjamin this year.
I really liked Italy, Estonia and Czechia
Croatia for the win!!
So far only Croatia stands out for me. I also like Czechia, Spain and Slovenia.
I liked Italy’s song; as well as Finland and France 🙂
Uhhh. croatian voting machine only works once? Probably because of too much snow
Well if Croatia rigged the pool once, as many suggested on the previous poll they would easily do it again. It was a “WTF” effect as well as link to previous poll being published in many Croatian portals. I believe its a similar thing with Finland (I personally love it), but its also different, standing out. All will be seen in May 😉
Looking at the results from the two polls, it looks more like a counting glitch that put the decimal in the wrong place.
lithuania and czechia are for me the best songs! i can see that some are loving finland or croatia, but probably mostly because of the perfomance. i can not see many listening to those songs in their freetime. but thats maybe the change in the eurovision song contest, that i am not liking.
and before i am getting many dislikes. i am myself from croatia, prestanite!
You should get dislikes just because you did not learn how to write capital letters. Please stop embarrassing Croatia!
Can someone please explain the hype of Finland’s song?
I’ve tried to like it and listen to the whole performance but it’s just not working…
It’s different, it’s full of energy and it’s fun. Also the bare chested guy probably adds a few points.
It’s working like Hattari, the crowd that likes bizarre electronic acts will loose their sh*t over this. The juries and the rest of the people will have another WTF moment. The problem is that this year there might be too many weirdo acts so being a weirdo in a year like that is not exactly an advantage.
The second half of the song is completely different and much better, if you can hold on that long.
I barely could but I don’t think that it was better, the change of tone just made me more confused.
Oh, it’s two completely different songs that don’t fit together at all. But the second is much easier to listen to.
Kaaaarijaaaa!!
On another Eurovision site, they have a five star rating system to rate the songs and here are the ratings (out of 5) for now:

Is that Eurovision site a French one, maybe?
It’s Eurovisionworld.com/odds
Yes, that is the site I got this data from.
I don’t know. I actually originally put the name in my comment, but it didn’t go through because for some reason wiwibloggs doesn’t like it when you put down the names of other eurovision news sites. The ratings you see are actually averages compiled by thousands of other ratings per song.
Of course France can be only appreciated only by french on a french site what else….
But sorry it’s on eurovisionworld, so keep your salt for somebody else 😉
Such a waste of good salt.
It’s Eurovisiønwørld. ø = o

My top 3 are: Australia, Finland and Czech Republic.
I’m so glad Finland finally released their song and overtook Norway. I can’t stand Norway’s song.
I feel like heard the Norwegian song like three times before in ESC. It’s ok but maybe a little generic
The fandom is not okay
My current top 5, in alphabetical order: Finland, France, Latvia, Slovenia and Spain.
We could see Finland, Norway and Sweden all in top 5. What a strong year for Nordics.
My top 5 so far:
1. Latvia
2. Spain
3. Finland
4. France
5. Australia
Spain a great sunny nórdic country!!!
Where Jann :^)
He didn’t win, and people are salty about it, particularly because it looked rigged for Blanka.
I’ve got a few in the mix. Blanca Paloma’s been my #1 since her awesome performances at Benidorm, and she could very well get back there with another performance, but it’s hard to put her at #1 right now in this interregnum when it’s a little too abstract to be a great playlist song. Right now I’m kind of flipping between the crowd-pleasing and off-the-wall Kaarija and Sudden Lights, who have a great song that evokes a ton of nostalgia for me personally. “Due Vite” has climbed a lot for me since it was chosen and might be in the… Read more »
My top 7 so far (in no particular order):
*Finland
*France
*Slovenia
*Latvia
*Italy
*Spain
*Czechia
I really liked Italy’s song 🙂 Also, would add France and Czechia.
Next week Noa Kirel is in the house prepare youself to dance hard….
Ritoli, Is that you?
Ritoli, we all see you :))
Not sure if it’s Ritoli lol…. it’s not written in Capital letters with plenty of !!!!!!!!!!
I don’t think a song should win based only on the charisma and talent of the performer. Loreen has many great songs and she has proven before that she’s super talented but the hype around Tattoo is just … overdone; pretentious and bland song for me.
I liked the song, but it’s not her best and the hype’s got out of hand too soon :/
The performance has proven to be equally important as the song nowadays. We have seen so many times how great songs have been destroyed by terrible performances and stagings. So having a great song is not making it a winner. Tattoo is not bad at all and it’s not a Euphoria either. But modern and well produced, showing Loreen’s voice. And the performance is world class. I simply can’t see anyone topping it this year.
I liked Italy, Czechia and Norway.
For Loreen’s “Tattoo”; I always feel like I’d like Loreens songs more if they weren’t so hyped. They’re always in that awkward place where I like them well enough but at same time find myself less impressed at the people losing their minds over them.
Tattoo is not a song that I would enjoy listening, of course different views are all welcomed.
Ignore the hype brought about by other social media sites etc….and what others view of the song and judge it by your own likes and dislikes and expectations.
Personally, i think its a great song, lyrics etc and her performance enhances that
FINLAND, cant stop listening. It’s modern it’s raw it’s amazing.
Also love Italy, Marco in Versace leather is a dream. And yes Ireland, my guilty pleasure.
Also, I hope the eurofans who now worship Cha Cha Cha (with its over-the-top stage show and autotuned vocals) are not the same ones that claim Croatia is a “joke” entry and makes a mockery out of the contest. Fandom bathing in hypocrisy and double standards, once again…
Well, Croatia is not over-the-top stage show!? I have nothing against this entry, but be objective at least on that no?
Both are, I’m just pointing out their double standards.
Ok then I agree both are.
Yeah, they’re BOTH good! They bring something new to the table!
There’s a thin line between genious and disgusting.
How much have you bet on Spain? Honestly
Look at my nickname, I don’t need to.
You’re already rich effectively.
I like both
cry harder lol
The nordics and Romance language big 5 countries are the strongest this year so far! Wouldn’t be surprised if that’s who makes up the top 5, and most of the top 10, this year
Having found my winner for 2023 (Loreen) I gave a first listen to all the songs selected so far and I’m actually not disappointed at all. It’s an interesting year, and actually a rather uptempo one which makes me wonder how juries will vote this year, expecting that live performances will play a big role once more. I absolutely love Czechia, Finland, and Norway so far, with Italy and France following close behind. Slovenia and Estonia are also enjoyable, while Croatia is a guilty pleasure. Spain is captivating but I’m very unsure how I feel about the actual song. The… Read more »
I would put Italy, Finland and Slovenia to my top list.
For Loreen’s song, I’ve listened to the studio version without looking at the performance. Quite bland to be perfectly honest, while live the “Violins playing and angels crying” lyric sounds very… simple and struggling.
I believe most of the hype comes from the stage performance.
After Finland’s Kaarija as No.1, the top 2-5 are: CYPRUS, ARMENIA, and GREECE.
None of those 3 mentioned last has reliesed their song yet?!
what’s not to love from Kaarija’s HOT AS F bod!?! Like, O M F G! Yes, yes, YASS!
My Top 5 (at this actual moment)
1- Italy
2- France
3-Finland
4-Slovenia
5- Norway
I kinda find it funny I only have one song in English out of my whole Top 5. And funnier if Norway had chosen Ekko Inni Meg, because it would be at the same place as Alessandra.
FINLAND and Kaarija!
Bravo Nikki !!! Italy 12points
Jone would have been my winner on this list !
If we’re basing it purely on artistic merit, we’ve still got a clear top 2 of Spain first and Croatia second.
What’s your criterias to affirm that!?
So it’s based on your personal opinion only. I was scared we had to agree with you.
It was such an affirmation that I felt the same lol.
You don’t have to like them, you don’t have to support them, but that’s pretty much the reality of the lineup, it’s not about agreeing or not with me, not at all.
Your reality man 😉
Well, what I can also tell you is that Norway does not belong in that conversation at all, a song made for TikTok, only 2:30 mins long but it already repeats the chorus 4 times. That chorus also features a predictable rhyming sequence. Sorry.
Ok ok I’ve never talked about Norway or nobody else, but you can admit that the 2 entries you praise, are unique for sure, maybe the most unique if you want but maybe also too unique for others people.
Well, in any case the universal love for something doesn’t exist.
My bad I’ve talked about Czechia and Finland too.
Well, I was also just messing with you a bit, hah, but it all comes down to each user’s own perspective in the end, true. I always try rooting for the ones that look to bring something different to the competition and that’s what I’m actually basing my perspective on, in large part.
Ok, always interesting to know the subjective criterias of each persons thank you.
But in that case why not Finland or Czechia? They enter your criterias.
The Czech entry feels a bit disjointed and put together specifically with ESC in mind, at least to me. The Finnish entry gets docked points because the live vocal is not competent enough.
Ok…
There’s no winner from what’s been selected so far, it’s even harder to pick the worst song as there are so many of them. Of the newest batch Finland and Poland are particularly bad.
Finland and France finally set the bar higher for this year. My concern with Cha Cha Cha is that after the bridge it becomes the usual Nordic campy gimmick: funny and nonsense. Camp can be sexy and serious too (like Käärijä is in the first half). That weird dance? and him riding the dancers don’t add anything at all…
Finland? Seriously?
France?Finland? LMFAO dream on
What each of the countries left might send/should send: Germany- this NF is actually quite strong, the best option is Patty Gurdy IMO but there’s actually quite a few choices for Germany! Wish them good luck and I hope they will slay. UK- Mimi Webb and Rina Slaywamama are rumoured to be the representatives of UK this year, the UK really wants to win, and I’m here for it! Azerbaijan- It’s rumoured Mamagama has won the internal selection and been chosen, listening to a few of their songs I must say that… they have lots of potential to give Azerbaijan… Read more »
I would prefer Italy, Finland, Norway 🙂
I’m still buzzing from Finland so this is my number one, with Spain not far behind and Italy third. Also loving Norway, Czechia and Slovenia.
