There are several favorites but no one is really sure how the night develops and the fact that all jury votes (I think 5 different people’s judgments) will be converted into points 1 to 12 makes the epilogue even more uncertain. I will personally vote for Filip and Luke as they not only suit my taste but also seem to be the most progressive contenders. Nevertheless, I totally enjoyed most of the entries, especially Hurricane, Boris, Filarri, and Dzipsii. As a local, I hope that our NF gets more attention this year and consequently in the future. Love to all… Read more »

Top 3 for me are Luke, Boris, Filip. Luke would certainly be in my overall top 3 among 27 thus far. Even regardless of who wins in Moldova or Iceland.

As I can tell, the main battle will be between Luke, Zejna, Filip, and Princ, perhaps Hurricane and Dzipsii also. I don’t find this NF predictable, which is a good thing for watching. Still, considering how much I want to see Luke Black at ESC, I am a bit nervous. 😉

As alway this time of year, it means somebody dropped a load of cash in a bet and the gambling houses are moving the odds to cover themselves.

Highly invested in this NF. I see great potential in it, although I shall mention that none seem like a winner to me. Good luck, but I’m quite sure you’ll have it figured out.

Those wanting that “Rumba” song to win are the same delusional people who believes that Patty Gurdy’s entry actually would have been a good Eurovision song, and who firmly believed Lesley Roy’s 2021 entry was a good song… some people just believe the darnest things…

Bad dated songs, giving mid-2000s feel but loved by a whole bunch of eurofans. 1 came last in Eurovision, the other last in its national final and well there is a big chance the last one wont do much better if it gets chosen for Eurovision.

Princ deserves to win. He has the looks and the song. I don’t understand the fuss about Luke, his song is…weird, I wouldn’t vote for Serbia in the semifinal in May, if Luke will be the representative. For Princ I would definitely vote!

Well, try looking at the lyrics.

Baby, watch the world on fire
It is all a game to me
I don’t wanna choose my fighter
Who’s taking control of me?
Halo?
I just wanna sleep forever

That, coupled with his visual performance (with him disconnecting the dancers at the end from the “keeping you asleep” pod and reminiscent of Matrix), makes it pretty clear I’d say. Musically, it Cure meets London After Midnight.

Zejna and Luke Black are main favourites to win, but picking something ethnic like Cvet Sa Istoka can never be bad choice.

Any winner other than mister Luke Black or at least Filip Balos could cause a serious meltdown online, and I’d be lying if I said that I wouldn’t be joining in myself too… Hopefully there won’t be any need to.

Songs like the ones from Zejna and Princ come along every single year, while Samo Mi Se Spava is a groundbreaking entry for sure. I think the meltdown would be fully justified in this case, Serbians can obviously avoid it by just making the correct decision.

I think luke black is the best option for serbia but it’s not rly my cup of tea. Zejna is 100% my favourite but I fear it wouldn’t do as well. If she wins I will be so happy tho

I’m Serbian and I can tell you that the public is deeply decided between Luka and Prince/Zejna situation. My favorite is Luka but I’m afraid he doesn’t get nearly as much hype in Serbia. My guess is that the jury will vote Zejna/Prince and the public vote will be in favor of Luka. However AI fear the public will also vote Filip Baloš/Dzipsii/Hurricane and I don’t think Luka will gather enough votes for that reason

Euro fans in Serbia will vote for Luke .. ordinary people who are not into eurovision will vote for Princ and Zejna.
Last year were MUCH more hype for Konstrakta, Sara and Zorja, and their performance loved both, euro fans and ordinary people.
My fav is Luke, but 30+ people around me (who are not into eurovision) don’t like that song, it’s nothing special for them, even if Konstrakta was weird, she has catchy ,,Biti zdrava” thing, in ,,Samo mi se spava” nothing is catchy.

I did not like Konstrakta either but i loooved the risky element!! Luke is anorher new path for Serbia sooo – we need to get him to ESC!! And he studied in UK <3

Zejna, Princ and Duo Grande is like diving straight back to the mid-2000s and a horrible direction to go for Serbia. Serbia should focus in one direction only – forward, and that is with Luke Black, Filip Balos or Dzipsii. They could also go for just status quo and stay in the present and go for Hurricane or Stefan as well. It will be exciting to see the final results tonight, but after Jann’s failed attempt in Poland it would hurt if not Luke Black manage to win tonight.

Are there any Serbians here? Who is the local favorite, who is believed to win/has chances to win? Who is the most talked about? Luke Black is clearly the Eurofan favorite but I wonder if there is any hype about him in Serbia.

Yes 🙂 Basically, this is the situation – Hurricane is not that popular because they compare them with old Hurricane, which was regarded as better, obviously. So there is no hype about them. Zejna was regarded as the biggest favorite before the competition, I think by a pretty wide margin. She was at Pesma za Evroviziju last year as well, she also qualified for the final, and had a good contest. She became well-known because she had a cameo in a huge movie about our popular late etno singer Toma Zdravkovic (the most popular movie in Serbia in 2021). Luke… Read more »

I wrote a long comment to explain the background and everything else, but it is entered the moderation for some reason, so here is a short one before that gets through:

There is no huge hype about Luke Black, but I feel he is the number-one favorite to win after all. But it is certainly not that clear like in the European Eurovision fandom. I wouldn’t be surprised if Zejna or Prince win it, Dzipsi and Filip Balos have fewer chances, I don’t think that any other act can win.

Actually no. The media only reported that he was the favorite based on Euro fans, but there was no uproar about him. Nobody made a fuss about nobody. Last year, Konstrakt immediately attracted attention with her appearance and lyrics, Zorja with her voice (although she also had a fan base) and Sara (both because of the song and because of the performance + fan base) and Lukas (he is very popular even though the song is not for esc). This year (by the media).. nothing (in terms of hype) But in essence it’s also nice, because you really don’t know… Read more »

Judging by the actual reviews, Batos could wow people more in Liverpool. But Luke is a good second. They both have good packages that need a little more work but deserve the top two here.

Other good options would be Princ, Dzipsii and Filarri.

Luke Black, Filip Balos, Zejna or Hurricane will be a good choice for Serbia !

But I prefer Luke Black, Filip Balos or Zejna for Eurovision 2023.
