Six feet under is my favorite also liking a few other songs.. i do like Loreens song but at the same time its a bit boring to me.. its not a bad song in any way but the visuals is the element who really lift the song (which is just fine) but if i listen to it without watching the staging then the song is just missing something it just become bland.. which is a shame For me the match between song and staging should be more equal than this For me its more visuals than its song If the… Read more »

Yes I agree this may run away with it at Eurovision. It ticks all the boxes for a winner, and I would be happy if she is crowned a second win. I do like the song and her style of music, what makes it is her performance and the staging of course, but would this win if the visuals and staging were not there? I am not sure. I hear this may not be the stage prop she uses at Eurovision if she goes as it is too heavy to ship. Sweden knows how to play this game and hats… Read more »

No need to compare this to Euphoria. Different song, different year, new viewers aswell. As a package this is totally finished. Its so good. Would be an amazing winner. I love her spiritual vibe. She’s all about love. People can learn from her. Stop hating and just open your heart a bit more. Thank you for being you Loreen.

Okay I can’t stand the Tattoo slander in here. It is a phenomenal song. To me it is everything a ballad of tomorrow should be. The looping of the chord progression incessantly elevates the song; the fusion of orchestral instruments with electrifying synths transports us to a new world; the spiritual vocals reach the soul; the dynamism between each verse and chorus is gripping; the thumping kick drum and bass create suspense; the power of the final chorus gives goosebumps. Not to mention how amazing of a performer and person Loreen is. She and her song deserve every bit of… Read more »

The you all forget is that, we shall not vote for the ARTIST and his/her background but for the SONG itself. Which, in Loreen’s case, is elevated by a phenomenal performance and some extreme visual and expensive staging. Otherwise, the studio version doesn’t really allow for anything groundbreaking to be desired.

If Loreen wins Melfest it means that all the others contestants in Eurovision will have to compete “against”, THE Eurovision legend, the personification of Eurovision herself I mean it’s a big honor, it doesn’t happen every year. Now if somebody or several acts manage to beat her we never know… will they become again more legendary than the legend herself or will they become the most hatred acts ever of this Esc world….I wonder…because there are people that already can’t imagine Loreen not winning Eurovision then imagine if it’s somebody else I really wonder the reactions….I still remember the disgusting… Read more »

My only comment is that Loreen isn’t a legend for the 95% of people who will vote during Eurovision. Sweden will have to win based on how she compares to this year’s songs. I haven’t heard the Melodifestivalen songs other than hers, and my only comment is that as a native english speaker the lyrics are hard to decipher – good music though.

I gasp as I read that Smash Into Pieces has only 5% of votes. Seriously . This is by far best entry at MelFest this year! But saying that Tattoo is better than Six Feet Under is ridiculous.

I feel like the fans are only hyping it up on 2 fronts: She’s Loreen – Every time she has been a part of Melfest she has been one of the faves to win Melfest, if not THE fave, and we all remember 2017 with Statements don’t we. No offenses but there are at least 10 or more others countries that would like to host Eurovision too and one of them since more 50 years for example while Sweden has hosted already twice the last decade. Not saying that I wouldn’t like to see Sweden hosting again not at all, just saying that we shouldn’t forget there are others countries making big efforts for Eurovision too, who deserve a victory too and who wait for that since a very long time.

I can understand why this type of question comes up every year, especially after very questionable jury decisions in previous NFs (such as Romania a few years ago and Poland this year), but my impression is that generally international jurors make their decisions with integrity and professionalism. Considering all the work SVT put in to the production of Melodifestivalen, it can be safely assumed they have a good process in place to ensure juries aren’t acting in bad faith.

OK, we’ll see later. If the jurors from any country in the same semi as Sweden doing a hatchet job to protect their own entry. There is possibly a slight conflict of interest. The point is that people’s reaction made Loreen the top favourite, at least in Melodifestivalen. Before her song was released, she had been overthrown by the first place two times, first by Maria Sur and then by Marcus and Martinus. So, at the end of the day bookmarkers trusted her because she was praised by the audience.

She was not always first in the odds. Maria Sur was first for the longest time. Then the twins were number 1 after thier heat. So she had competition and it was not clear she would be the favourite. Not until the rehearsal clips were released did Loreen start to rise in the odds again and after her heat she became number 1 one again. But that was only because people praised her that she went to number 1. So it is the combination of both song and artist. No other but Loreen could have sung Tattoo”!

I agree. ?f “Tattoo” song was sang by another Swedish singer or country, one one has overhyped it, to be honest.

She could move to the UK and have a failed music career like Mans. Haha

Loreen had a massive no 1 hit across Europe with Euphoria. She sold millions of copies of the song and won the biggest live music contest in the world. Her career may have stalled internationally, but it doesn’t make any sense to call something many musicians dream of a failed career.

I can honestly say I think Smash Into Pieces will end up top 3 in the actual contest tomorrow.
There is buzz around it, second most streamed Mello song of the season and the only rock song in the contest which makes it stand out..
And it is a really good song to that. I tis my second favourite of the year.

Yes I think they will be top 3 as well. 2nd or 3rd overall. I wouldn’t be surprised if they are 2nd with the televoters, it is highly possible, but it is up to how the international juries are going to react to it. I cannot see them lower than the top 5. If I had to bet now, I’d say 2nd overall. Otherwise 3rd, behind Loreen and perhaps Maria Sur. Maria Sur btw is gonna do well with the televoters, but I don’t think that the juries will vote for her massively . We’ll see though

There’s also Marcus and Martinus though, I forgot them. This complicates things a bit. I don’t think they will win, but they could “steal” some votes from Smash Into Pieces. But these will be the top acts, Loreen, Smash Into Pieces, Maria sur, Marcus & Martinus

I can not see Maria doing well with voters either. She just disappeared
I can not see her doing better than 4th..

Well I would like to ask you if Smash Into Pieces are popular in Sweden. I’m saying this because i was pleasantly suprised by the number of streams and their appeal in sverigetoplistan, even though I thought that their streams for exemple were mostly by international fans (i think they have many since they are doing many live shows in the US as well)

Well after Loreen they are the most streamed Mello song so they are popular. Of course within the rock crowd they have always been popular but for mainstream audiences they have been unknown until now. But now they are everywhere, even on public radio you can hear the song.

I like Loreen a lot but I don’t like her song. #dilemmas

On every single voting I’ve seen in Sweden Loreen is on top with a huge margin. But the age groups tomorrow could perhaps make it a bit more exciting. Or not..

I hope people don’t forget to vote then:)
And I hope they also do not take in consideration all the headline news about her but just vote for the song.
What do you think?

Sweden always wote for the song, and not to the artist

I have also been worried about that. But I think the signs would already be there if that would be the case. Her nr. 1 spot on Spotify for instance says that people probobly don’t care about the headline news.

The age groups will be very interesting to watch tomorrow. I think there’s not gonna be a clear winner like in 2021 for example, but the votes will be much more spread out. I wouldn’t be surprised if Loreen gets 12 from just 2 or 3 groups, but I think that she will manage to win this voting as well. As for the international juries, I am sure she will win and perhaps with a big margin by the second act.

Maybe. But seeing how she is everywhere it also is likely that she smashes the televote too

I’m sorry, but this is karma for knocking her off the ESC250 top spot.

We already know that the best entries this year are Spain and Serbia, we don’t need any results to validate that at all, even if Loreen goes on to win ESC again.
