“A piece of my heart is missing!” Käärijä has lost his signature green bolero…and is offering a reward for its return

Update: Moments after publishing this article, Käärijä confirmed that he had FOUND it! Success.

He’s the Finnish rapper who went viral in February for shouting “Cha Cha Cha” while riding a piggy train made of flamenco dancers.

But on Saturday Eurovision 2023 star Käärijä was a lot less chipper as he took to social media to reveal that he’s lost his neon green bolero — the garment that framed his bare chest beautifully and gave him Hulk-ish glam during his run at Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2023.

“I feel wistful, as if a piece of my heart is missing,” he wrote on Instagram Stories. “I don’t know how I’ll get through this, but I hope that one day our paths will cross again.”

He also shared a series of snaps of him wearing his signature piece, which features a series of sharp silver spikes around the neck and wrists. 

The search is very much on. In another Story, Käärijä shared an annotated map. A green line indicates his route past the Maimin jäähalli ice rink in Helsinki.

“It was somewhere above the green line,” he wrote. “The treasure hunt can begin.”

“If you find that upper part in the the area, pound the alarm,” he wrote, adding that a reward would follow.

It’s unclear whether that reward will involve a visit to the wrestling ring from his music video or a private serenade at his apartment. We’d take either over a bucket of cold hard cash.

We’re assuming that the UMK23 winner has the contact details for the vendor who sold him the item, and that that vendor may be the Finnish equivalent of Party City. Regardless, we wish him all the best hunting it down!
