Armenia’s Brunette dances to Iru’s “Echo”
In May, she’ll sing “Future Lover” for Armenia in Liverpool. But in the meantime, Brunette is extending the love with her Caucasus sister. I don’t know, those lyrics can’t be performed without being cringe.
The Olivier Awards were on tonight in London, hosted by our very own Hannah Waddingham! All four hours now up on YouTube, starting with comedy musical opening number. A taste of what’s to come in May! She is wonderful, but judge for yourself.

From the Royal Albert Hall, where Katie Boyle stood in 1968! How can anyone not be excited?
N.B. “The uploader has not made this video available in your country.” Apparently. 😀
Really? I’m not even in the UK, and it works for me. Strange.
Maybe you need to watch it on ITV only in the UK.
Try this different one, just Hannah’s opening on its own. It’s worth it!

Will Noa Kirel perform in Israel calling?
I certainly hope so, I’d be stupid not to.
It’d*
I thought you were actually Noa for a second.
I don’t know but she is not announced among the artists on the IG page of Israel calling and some comments saying that unfortunately she won’t perform… that’s why I asked but true it would be weird to not perform on her homesoil.
That is very strange.
She still can’t straighten her back, I knew it.
She was at the red carpet though…
She will not perform due to a flight that was scheduled long time ago, she only participated at the events that were before her flight.
The team does not want her to perform before Eurovision to keep it more intriguing, so she won’t be participating in any promo events.
That’s a shame though. There are a few countries this year that don’t seem keen to show any live performances of their entries prior to the contest and they are avoiding all pre-parties: Israel is one of them. Greece, Cyprus and Armenia are the other ones.
Well I guess she has enough experience not to be overawed on the big night. Michela did a great job for Malta in 2019, but it might have helped to have done the promo events, instead of wanting to be “intriguing”.
Iru teasing us with proper English every time she speaks is really killing me.
And am I noticing some Armenia-Georgia love going on there?
Haha all you need then is someone to drink smoothies in near cafés then. “Future Lover” is one of my favourite songs this year.
It’s been consistently in my Top 5 since it came out. And be careful of banana-eating wolves then :p
You sound almost like a Unicorn 😉
why both of you sounds like two ChatGPT bots communicating LOL.
I’ve warmed up to Unicorn. The chorus is strong and I’m sure that Noa Kirel will do a great job on stage. Remo has such a beautiful voice though and gives an extra warmth to the song which is really nice.
I would call it noisy. A bit pretentious maybe. There are other songs that I find far noisier.
*wouldn’t
not me thinking Benjamin ingrosso is performing at Israel calling, the promo vid on the ig page showed someone looked like him LOL!
It’s tricky to share a “top 5” among the songs you will compete against after… do you listen your heart and your real tastes or do you have to be “politically correct” towards some specific countries. That’s a dilemma and it can be a double edged sword as we’re in Eurovision temporality now already and all the others contestants and countries watch….that’s why it’s a tricky question for the contestants and imo they should avoid to answer to it like they often manage to do.
Is Mae Muller a Tory hater? There was an article about this in some newspaper today, I saw on twitter. What’s that all about?
Never mind, for some reason I thought it was something serious. She just dared to vote Labour, which is enough for some people to be outraged and call her unfit to represent the UK. Sad.
British press is sad. I saw articles calling her a left wing activist that hates Boris Johnson and other similar nonsense.
As if being a left wing activist that hates Boris Johnson is a bad thing lol
British tabloids digging up tweets from 2020, when everyone was in a survival mode literally, and presenting them in a twisted way to sell copies is sad. And obnoxious.
PS. I don’t blame her for what she said back then.
Me neither but when you live in the UK they pop up everywhere unfortunately. Didn’t bother to read more than the title tbh, but it seems like that’s what they’re talking about.
What she said is 100% true tho. Why would you blame her?
I don’t know why celebrities and their voting patterns needs to be leaked or told to us. Why should it matter if they vote ANY party? Or if they are left wing or right wing? Focus on the music, Salvador Sobral said.
You don’t want to know who I have voted for then? Alright, I won’t leak it. 😀
She has also said she hated the UK…but decides to represent the UK in an international song competition.
Treasoners shouldn’t represent one’s nation on the international stage!
I like Wild Youth, I hope they qualify.
They won’t! It wouldn’t surprise me if Ireland got ‘nil points’ in its semi-final
It wouldn’t surprise me either, but bearing in mind there are only 15 countries competing for 10 places, instead of say 18, someone will surely give them a point. Remember the days of one SF only, for example, 2007, and no “pre-qualifiers”? And isn’t it interesting that we were not having this discussion about Brooke last year?
