Ruth Lorenzo will be Spain’s spokeperson
Spain’s spokeperson for Eurovision 2023 will reportedly be Ruth Lorenzo. She who sang “Dancing in the rain” in Copenhagen 2014 will be returning to the competition, albeit only to give the points from Spain. Ruth has been in the wishlists of Spanish fans to come back since she competed… will this mean she’s one step closer to Benidorm Fest 2024? (Luis)

Sudden Lights film Latvia’s Eurovision postcard
Sudden Lights took a trip to the seaside to film their Eurovision postcard. On the Latvian coast, the “Aijā” stripped down to their trunks for a dip in the cold waters of the Baltic sea.

Is this about the war?
Man, I actually like the idea of asking something to Loreen, but idk what to ask her :/
From the real page:
Q: What’s something people may not know about you?
Loreen: I like reading about quantum physics.
what does Loreen look like?
too much botox, fillers
Like a woman!
What do you look like? A bitch, like on your profile pic?
A female dog is called a bitch however..
like your mum
A winner of the Eurovision Song Contest.
once was already horrible enough 🙁 hope she really gets the same fate as dana international in 2011
You’re full of hate!! How unhappy you must be!
Believe me, there are worse haters than me, those who spread horrible fake news about Blanka and her family only because Jann didn’t win
Loreen btw is not my cup of tea, i stanned Ivi Adamou back in 2012
And they are all most likely very unhappy too.. Your comments are quite interesting btw. You’re either obsessed or a troll. And I hope it’s the latter because the combination of being unhappy and obsessed can be life consuming.
Never happen! Tattoo is almost as good as Euphoria, Ding dong (Dana) was lame.
Ding Dong was great though, and i have a HUGE crush at Dana International Mommy <3
Thank you to Ari and ESC Hayden in the comments below for already discussing what I wanted to comment on. About the Loreen Reddit questions, I wonder if an “Ask Me Anything” is really allowed for ESC contestants? Perhaps it should be: “Ask Me Anything About Music Or Something Really Silly.” Anyhow, it’s an exciting build-up month.
This guy gets on my nerves. Tada
one question for Loreen, why did you decide to return to eurovision, stealing the place of newer talent #Kianawuzrobbed
whew me getting downmarked again, love it
would be so amazing to see Serbia, Sweden nq
and Poland winning with homophobic queen Blanka
LOl, usually I do not reply to trolls but this gave me a laugh. And it is always good to start the day with a laugh:)
am not feeling confident at all in terms of who will qualify, after last years flops i had, with Emma for example
you never know what the public will go for, am reading much love for Serbia’s Luke on youtube and also on reddit though
and in terms of Poland, well i don’t associate myself with the Blanka haters anymore, i feel sad for her
Hopefully this is not a troll! We support Kiana!
I made a list of Eurovision artist who served as spokespersons, and this is the first time Spain has one of their prior protestants as a spokesperson!
Contestants it should say. I hate errors like this.
Anke Engelke did, when she was giving the German points!
She had nothing to lose, though, not like Loreen.
I mean, she had something to lose. Censure from her broadcaster. If the broadcaster okayed it, censure from the EBU to her broadcaster. That said, she did it in a more subtle way full of plausible deniability.
Of course, I completely respect and admire what Anke did. I just meant that it’s a little easier to do from a television studio in Germany than in person in Baku. That’s all.
Well, Loreen took the bigger risk you could say. She was there in Baku meeting rights groups and women groups. She could have well ended up on the Azeri watchlist or something..
Anke was in a studio far away from the events. And she was more subtle. It was not even clear what she was referring to.
Well, she literally said “It’s good to be able to vote and it’s good to have a choice. Good luck on your journey, Azerbaijan. Europe is watching you.”
I think she couldn’t have been more clear without violating the EBU’s rules.
Yes, and that is not clear to what it means. Could be many things..
Are they joining EU? Which journey?
Eurovision stoooop, I’m not ready for eurovision week yet. I’m not on schedule with my thesis xD
Thought I was the only one working on a thesis XD
Well, to be fair, they’re not really supposed to at Eurovision. Plus, some broadcasters (such as BBC) have neutrality rules. Engelbert was actually asked by Panorama (a BBC current affairs investigative programme) for his thoughts, but he couldn’t respond. That episode is on YouTube btw.
Yes, that last part is true, but we’re talking about BBC News and BBC Eurovision, two totally different parts of the organisation. The BBC is huge, so it’s not uncommon for BBC News to report on another part of the broadcaster as if it was a separate organisation. As for the impartiality/neutrality thing, that’s not just a BBC thing, but a regulator thing. All UK broadcasters are required to be impartial. It prevents TV coverage from descending into the mess that is the British press, who twist and overdramatise everything to suit their own political agenda.
Honestly, democracy has kind of failed us here in the West, so I’m not surprised there’s this kind of “leash”
