Eurovision 2023 gets remixed

It’s New Music Friday, and in amongst all the brand new tracks we’ve also been gifted a few remixes of Eurovision 2023 entries: Danish DJ Faustix has put his spin on Käärijä’s “Cha Cha Cha”; asgeirorri has turned Diljá’s “Power” into a club hit. Meanwhile, Reiley has officially released the sped up nightcore version of “Breaking My Heart”. (Jonathan)

Theodor Andrei revamps “D.G.T. (Off and on)” for Liverpool

The official Eurovision 2023 album has now been released. Included on it is a brand new version of Theodor Andrei’s “D.G.T. (Off and on)”. Romania’s act has transformed the first third of the song into an acoustic style, with Theodor now singing solely alongside an acoustic guitar. The song then picks up for the second verse onwards. Mae Muller and Alessandra Mele go acoustic

Mae Muller and Alessandra Mele have both dropped acoustic versions of their Eurovision entries. Stripping things back, the British and Norwegian stars bring a more emotional spin on their songs. Alessandra is joined by her uncle on acoustic guitar for “Queen of Kings”. Meanwhile, Mae is accompanied by guitar, keyboard and backing vocals on this new rendition of “I Wrote A Song”. (Jonathan)

Andrew Lambrou gives first live performance of “Break A Broken Heart”

Ahead of his travels to Europe, Andrew Lambrou has now performed “Break A Broken Heart”, his entry for Cyprus, for the first time. He did so at the Sydney Eurovision Party, where Brooke (Ireland 2022) was also performing as part of her Australian tour. (Jonathan)

I REALLY dont believe THAT is the revamp. Anyways, the ‘Little Bit More’ segments were, good, ESPECIALLY Voyager’s cover, Sudden Light’s new song and Germany!

Oh no, Romania’s revamp… They got rid of my favourite part of the song: the staccato-like singing in the bridge which fit the voodoo doll theme perfectly. The song was in my top5, now it’s gonna drop 🙁

Remo is a decent singer, but his song is a huge no for me, what a cliche with a neutral country bringing a anti-war message also with a performer who comes from a billionaire family, 1.8 billion net worth

i really wouldn’t surprised to see him finish last place in that tough semi 1 (think even a 0pts or few points could be possible too, with a lot more televote appealing entries)

and i know ballads can have its appeal, i think Latvia has chances to do decently maybe

It’s not an ‘anti-war’ message though, it’s about guys having to remove their anger and masculinity.

Oooooof. I felt bad for putting Romania as low as I have, but yeesh. It’s like Denmark last year all over again.

Oh deary me, I actually didnt mind Romania’s song, even with the national final performance (which yes, I think that staging concept needs to be scrapped because it doesnt work) but I did think the song might struggle to get votes as pwople find it quite divisive and i myself have the song drop in my rankings every so often as theres songs I starting gelling with more. I wasnt expecting a revamp and I think this newer version may not have worked out the way the wanted it to. I think having the first half of the song (particularly… Read more »

I think Iceland should send the revamp/remix version to the Liverpool stage. So much better than the original.

He should’ve done his revamp fully in Romanian. I can barely make out most of his english…

Can you make out what Ariana Grande is singing in many of her songs?

Hm, I’m assuming Gustaph means the colourful Gaultier feathers, and not what Dana is wearing in the video? I’m not even sure if that should be allowed, it’s not what she wore for her performance…

Ah, distractions from real life, always welcome.

It feels as if Theodor Andrei is out of touch with the world to give us such a revamp.

Just cancel him and send Perinita Mea instead.

Oh and for next year, INNA or Alexander Stan.
