Congratulations! Strange isn’t it, lots of people seem to have been more fortunate this second wave. Yet supposedly there weren’t many tickets left to sell.

Or maybe the touts are struggling to sell their stock from the first wave, would be great if they are.

Well done to all who got tickets, particularly Kalla; twice I got one in my basket (one for £330 and another for £240), but then the “next” button never worked and I got timed out.

Thank you! And commisserations. Can’t believe my luck, and I know how lucky I was competing with all those ticket bots! I got on the purchase page at 12.05. At first it said there was no tickets available for any selection and then by luck I went round them all a few times and the 2 hospitality tickets appeared!

Do you know what the hospitality ticket is? I also bought hospitality individual ticket (seat), but no idea what is included 🙂

And that must have been hugely frustrating! I really hope a country soon takes the plunge and announces a ticket ballot instead of these chaotic and unfair ticket sales.

Thanks, it was because I twice had ticket details on my screen. I knew the section and the row and the seat number and was imagining myself there, but I couldn’t close the deal before I got timed out.

Better news for me now Kalla, after encouragement from a friend I just got a resale ticket for semi 1. I am going to try to get a semi 2 ticket as well rather than the final. That way I’ll see all 37 performances.

Wooohooo managed to get 2 tickets for the final on hospitality tickets. Can’t find anywhere what this includes though as its not a suite package. They were £580 each as well!

this wave is going to be very limited though so don’t get ur hopes up, guys! It will be mostly resale tickets (they have blocked them for a while) and some new tickets based on the layout after the completion of the stage. I bet there will be more standing tickets than seats. My bank account is ready but given the demand is HIGH and the offer is limited, I am not very optimistic. Plus, I know BBC/venue people have early access to the tickets…. Next year, please find a big arena. The interest is HUGE for Eurovision and arenas… Read more »

Yayyy can’t wait to see more tickets appearing on viagogo, and only to be sold for at least 10 times the original ticket value. Wooohooo.

whatever you see there is NOT a legit Ticketmaster ticket. Many fans were tricked in the past and were refused entry because their ticket was fake.

Wow another wave of tickets!?!? Just like every other year before this one, shocking!!! *sarcasm*

People always go mental after the first wave and there is always the claim that tickets are sold out, but they never sell out all of the tickets in just one wave! Always minimum two waves of tickets!

But at least great for those that want to try again for tickets.

Now remember for next year: Dont go all mentally crazy and freak out if u dont get tickets the first time around, there is ALWAYS a second round later on!

You wouldn’t know it from Eurovision fan media, but the Eurovision public ticket sales have been mired in controversy. It was virtually impossible for members of the public to get tickets via Ticketmaster.

The BBC have covered this extensively (for example, this special podcast report: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m001jt4w) and it was also raised by an MP in the UK parliament.

After what happened with Taylor Swift’s tour, I’m surprised EBU decided to still partner with Ticketmaster.

Agreed! For so many reasons, Ticketmaster wasn’t necessarily the right choice for ESC this year.

Why are tickets released in waves, and not just all at once? I hope it is a practical reason, and not some way to make it a “hot” ticket, by giving the illusion of scarcity. There are some stressed fans out there.

Jimmy

The scarcity isn’t illusion though, due to the massive public demand and the domination of the ticket sales by online ticket touts. Shame for ordinary fans.

The organisers should have used a ballot system like is done for Wimbledon.

That would have been much better. The greenroom area could also maybe go backstage again next year, it was fun at first, but more space for fans would probably be better.

Clearly, we should form a cross-cutting team, Jonas, to right all these wrongs! 😉

Kalla

Couldn’t agree more with that, the green room doesnt need to be on the stage floor, there is already such limited number of fans to get access, so why not give a bit capacity for us to go.

Alex

the green room is so much better when it is inside the arena and next to the fans but this year the capacity is very low so it would’ve been better to have it in another room. maybe the venue did not have the right room though.

Next year pls do it in a big arena.

they are always doing it in waves because the stage is completed in late April (now) so there is more space for fans.
