Käärijä rehearses new stage show

Finnish broadcaster Yle has revealed behind the scenes footage of Käärijä’s rehearsals for Liverpool. We get to see some of the new staging ideas — the cha cha dancers are now tied behind Käärijä rather than in front. But there are also some familiar aspects from the UMK performance — the human train remains and it looks like it will be done at the end of the catwalk. (Jonathan)

Eurovision stars drink with Danielle Walsh

Ahead of the London Eurovision Party, the acts from this year were treated to a little mocktail. But not just any mocktail. They were hand crafted by the iconic Danielle Walsh, a TikTok star from Northern Ireland who shares her pre-drinks and cocktail recipes. Danielle meets with Luke Black, Teya & Salena, Voyager, Vesna and Käärijä. They race to see who can down their drink first — but Danielle might have a little secret. (Jonathan)

Joker Out hold concert in Ljubljana city centre

Before they head to Liverpool to begin rehearsals for Eurovision, Joker Out have taken time to thanks their supporters at home. The five-piece band did so by holding a concert in Ljubljana. If there was any doubt of Joker Out’s status as Slovenia’s most popular band at present, then the jam-packed audience that filled the entire city centre should be enough proof. (Jonathan)

Monika Linkyte films Lithuania’s Eurovision postcard

Eurovision 2023 star and Eurovision 2015 alumnus Monika Linkyte is up next to share behind the scenes footage of her postcard for Liverpool. In Lithuania, the “Stay” songstress practiced Muay Thai inside Trakai Castle. “There’s no prince in the castle, but maybe I should just search for a frog”, Monika joked.

Since Ian Banham was fired from his job as the stage person for Ireland, have there been any news about who’s going to take over for them or is Wild Youth just royally screwed over now?

I feel bad for Wild Youth. I first flagged this over two months ago, I knew it would come back to bite them. If I knew, how did they and RTÉ not? Sad.

Under the article on the song’s lyrics, dated February 15. Just in case anyone doesn’t believe me. Sorry if this seems like I’m gloating about being right, I’m not. I just don’t understand why people are surprised by this.

Ian Banham probably signed a contract that if he gets fired for whatever reason, RTE can keep his creative ideas. As rehearsals are only a week away, I’m positive Wild Youth are fully prepared.

If you have nothing nice to say, sometimes it’s okay to say nothing at all.
