Eurovision week is over now and we already feel the PED (Post Eurovision Depression). This Eurovision season might be over, but for sure the fans will keep the songs on repeat. But that doesn’t mean we forget about the artists from past contests – they’re still bringing us a lot of new music to enjoy.

Contrary to the commonly perpetuated myth about the song contest killing careers, we’re always thrilled to report that singers associated with Eurovision are thriving.

Here is our latest weekly roundup with a selection of the songs and music videos released recently by Eurovision stars.

New music from Eurovision artists: 2023 | Week 19 part 2

With so many new songs this week, we’ve split the roundup into two smaller halves. You can find part 1 here.

PAENDA & Flip Capella – “Break My Stride”

A new hit comes from PAENDA (Austria, 2019), who joined hands with the Austrian DJ Flip Capella. The result is an incredible electronic club track that will get stuck in your head. The song was released together with a lyric video. The song is a cover, the original version belongs to Matthew Wilder and it was released in 1983, being a very famous summer hit. Hope your ready for some summer mood! The lyrics speak about how important it is to keep going: ” Last night I had the strangest dream/I sailed away to China/In a little row boat to find ya/And you said you had to get your laundry cleaned/Didn’t want no one to hold you/What does that mean?/And you said Ain’t nothin’ gonna break my stride/Nobody‘s gonna slow me down, oh no.”

Blind Channel – “HAPPY DOOMSDAY”

Are you ready for some Finnish rock at its finest? Blind Channel proudly represented their country in Eurovision back in 2021. As expected, their new song still maintains the violent rock style that we love to hear from them. Even if the music video is filmed in just one setting, their energy is absolutely incredible. Obviously, the song is about Doomsday and comes as a critique to the society and to its indifference. The song debuts with the line “Happy Doomsday to you!” The lyrics accentuate the idea that Doomsday is a result of our actions and indifference: “Everybody’s got apocalypse concept/Panic is a reflex/Butterfly effects/This is how the world ends(…)/Tying up the loose ends/Nothing really makes sense/We don’t give a f**k when/Every day’s a world’s end.’

Monika Linkyte – HEALING

Monika Linkyte slayed at Eurovision 2023 and she made in to the Grand Final but also, she released her new album during the Eurovision week. The album contains songs in both, Lithuanian and English. On this album you can find her Eurovision song, “Stay” but, if until now the only version available on the music streaming apps was the one only in English, this album contains the “ČIŪTO TŪTO” version. You can find a demo of “ODA” (Skin), a wonderful ballad in Lithuanian and beside this, three marvelous songs in English that will heal your soul: “Home”, “Sometimes Love Gives Up On You” and “Song to Myself”.

Diljá – “Crazy”

Diljá represented Iceland wonderfully at this year’s Eurovision and, even if she didn’t qualify in the Grand Final, she offered us a performance to remember! For sure this is just the beginning. She has an a new pop radio song that will become your new addiction. “And maybe she’s crazy, crazy, crazy/Maybe she’s out of her mind”, the uplifting track speaks about being yourself all the time, ignoring what other people say about it.

Benjamin Ingrosso & Alba August – “Du får göra som du vill”

A wonderful duet comes from Sweden. Benjamin (Sweden, 2018) released a touching duet with the famous Swedish actress and singer, Alba August. The song is a ballad that will go straight to your soul and it appeared on the 4th episode of the third season of Benjamin’s (Benjamin Ingrosso’s show where he invites artists to chat and sing together with him). The title, “Du får göra som du vill” means “Do as you wish”. The song is a cover, the original version belongs to Patrik Isaksson and it was released 1999. “Do as you wish, but never betray the one who lives in your soul”, the lyrics speak about losing the important things in life, as love and friendship, because you don’t know how to take care of them.

Levina – “Trip to Mars”

Levina represented Germany in Eurovision Song Contest in 2017. With her new song, she joins the retro party because, as numerous released of this week, this one also has retro influences. Stop the planet, Levina wants to get off: “Get me off this planet/Take a trip to Mars for a minute(…)/Guess you called ’cause you wanna catch up/24h ain’t enough/I’ve wasted all my energy/Help me find my energy.” Levina discussed this song on her official Instagram saying that it’s “about taking a break and just wanting to escape for a moment, cause we all need to recharge our batteries sometimes. So do it. Take a break. Take a breath. Take a walk. Look after yourself. And listen to the song. I hope it brings you joy!”

Timebelle – “Drink Beer”

Get your beer glasses up! We have a song about alcohol and toxic lovers. Timebelle represented Switzerland in 2017. Their new song is so sexy and seductive. It speaks about a toxic lover that corrupted her to…drink beer: ” ‘Drink Beer’ he said to me/While I was driving endlessly(…)/My baby likes it when I drink beer while I dance in the rain/So intense, it’s our romance.” She is under the influence of a toxic lover so, unable to control she only listens to him, even if she knows that their love is painful.

Ivi Adamou & Stavento – “Sto Giatro”

Ivi is one of the iconic Euorvision queens from Cyprus, she represented her country in 2012. Her new song has traditional influences and it’s a collaboration with the Greek artist Stavento. The title, “Sto Giatro” means “At the doctor”. A music video will be released on Monday, 15th of May but, until then, enjoy the audio version of their duet.

Achille Lauro & Rose Villain – “Fragole”

A sweet song comes from Achille Lauro (San Marino, 2022). It’s a perfect summer radio song that will make you think about strawberries, champagne and free days. As you might guess, the title of this song, “Fragole”, means “Strawberries”. The song is a collaboration with Rose Villain. The song doesn’t have a music video but it has a visual art video. Yes, the song has an uplifting song as yes, it speaks about “strawberries, cream and champagne under the moon”, actually it’s a song about cheating and lying: “Baby doll/I’ll come back to you tomorrow/With a new lie/You don’t care about me anyway/You want them(…)/ Strawberries on Saturday and Sunday at my place/You will promise me the moon/I’ll pretend to believe you just because it’s you/And I don’t want to be alone.”

KEiiNO – “Ritma”

KEiiNO (Norway, 2019) are back with a new dance BOP! Their new song, “Ritma” (Rhythm) is in both, English and Sámi and it’s an ode to the power of rhythm and dance. The chorus starts with the line “I want the rhythm of the night”. As always, dance and music are powerful and they bring healing and joy. KEiiNO maintain an authentic style but this time with disco and electronic influences.

Dilara Kazimova – “Olmaz”

Dilara represented Azerbaijan in 2014 and now she’s back with her brand-new song, “Olmaz” (No Way). It’s impossible not to feel ready for summer after this week’s New Music picks because there were so many incredible summer anthems and this song is no exception. Is the perfect summer song, rooted in Azerbaijani sound! The lyrics speak about the misunderstandings in love: ”  It won’t happen, it won’t happen, he won’t understand what I said/Maybe he is not from our world(…)/ We speak the same language but we don’t understand each other, why?/I’m crazy, those who know me know, my love can leave a mark on his heart.”

Robin Bengtsson – “Lullaby”

Are you ready to hear a lullaby from Robin (Sweden, 2017)? Actually the song is not a lullaby but a love pop song. A perfect radio song about feeling blessed in love. “Dancing through the kitchen with my T-shirt as a dress/So pretty I have to pinch myself/Oh my God I’m blessed.” Perfect song to fall in love.

Céline Dion – Love Again Soundtrack

She is a queen and she won for Switzerland in 1988. Recently, she was implied in working at the soundtrack for Love Again, a romantic comedy in which Céline Dion appears too, playing herself. The movie is based on Sofie Cramer’s novel with the same title. The full soundtrack album was released and 11 songs belong to Céline. The album also contains some classical tracks that belong to Keegan DeWitt. About this album, Céline said:
