It’s been more than a month since our beloved song contest stars shook, shimmied and sang during the grand final of Eurovision 2023. The team at wiwibloggs can’t get Loreen’s “Tattoo” out of our heads and our bodies just won’t stop moving when we hear Käärijä’s “Cha Cha Cha.” Unless we bleed rainbows and strap on a horn while thrusting to Noa Kirel’s “Unicorn”, grab some tissues for Marco Mengoni’s “Due Vite”, or start polishing our crowns with Alessandra and her “Queen of the Kings”. But our playlists don’t stop with the Top 5. We’re still loving Joker Out’s “Carpe Diem,” Sudden Lights’ “Aija,” Spain’s “Eaea” and Mae Muller’s “I Wrote A Song” to name just a few.
That we would compulsively listen to songs that failed to crack the Top 10 (or even make the final) isn’t surprising. Eurovision acts frequently fail on the big night because of bad staging or dodgy vocals or their divisive nature, while digitally re-mastered versions of those same songs go on to prove timeless. Remember Britain’s Gina G. from the 1996 contest? Her dance number “Ooo Ah….Just A Little Bit” only placed 8th, but it’s now a staple on dance floors from Manchester to Melbourne.
Now it’s time for you to let us know which songs you are still listening to. So pull our your iPhone and warm up your Spotify playlists to see which tracks you’ve played the most, and then vote in our poll.
You can vote for as many songs as you’d like, but you can only vote one time: Be sure to click the box next to each song you’re still listening to before pressing submit. The poll will close on August 14.
Poll: Which Eurovision 2023 songs are you still listening to?

This year none, quite weak year
Only 6 songs are still in rotation. Bigger than usual drop off, but it was a weak year.
I Wrote A Song, Future Lover, Mama SC, Who The Hell Is Edgar, Cha Cha Cha, Tattoo, Because of You, Évidemment, We Are One, My Sister’s Crown, Unicorn, Queen of King
I forget Samo Mi Se Spava
-Cha Cha Cha, Novi Plan Drugi San, Checkmate, Regina, Soarele Si Luna, Air, Where Did You Go, Arcadia, Nochentera, Ylivoimainen, Samaa taivasta katsotaan, Who The Hell Is Edgar
The selection songs were stronger for me this year, and I’m not sorry
Marvelling at Jedward beating Loreen in this poll in 2012. What on earth.
Belgium, Sweden & Israel
Dadi Freyr – Whole Again;-)
I discovered Lord of the Lost with the German preliminary and now I am obsessed with the band and their massively versatile discography. I love their music and who they are as people. And I have become a part of their awesome fan community. I‘m so happy to see how much they have grown since Eurovision despite having been placed last.
I fell in love with Lord of the Lost. Already saw them live. They rock!
France, UK, Norway, Sweden, Austria and Poland.
Ukraine, just like before the contest
Mostly my Top 10, with special nods to Käärijä, Joker Out and Lord of the Lost, won I became a fan of and I also listen to their full catalogue. And Marco, of course, whom I was already a massive fan of.
I can’t wait for the next national selection season; that seems to be the zone where you find a number of songs that fit your personal taste like a glove. “Armageddon” was special in my opinion, and I thought it was a shame that Ameerah went with her other song for the Eurosong final.
Finland!
I occasionally give the acoustic version of Tattoo a listen, but apart from that, 2023 has been memory- holed as one of the weakest years ever.
Agree
It was a gimmick-filled year. And the enjoyment of gimmicks wear off quickly.
Austria.
Latvia and Spain
yawn
Latvia and Australia
Sweden, Spain, and Austria.
Norway Austria Switzerland Israel Slovenia
Spain and Serbia are really the only ones I’ll still be listening to sometimes in years to come.
Back into the national final songs more tbh.
Very interesting to see how far Ukraine is down the list. Never saw the appeal of that song. Great to Scandinavia dominating again.
Grad to listen to Tattoo quite often in different radio stations across Europe, but sad that other great songs from the ESC as not promoted in these media. We need to encourage radio broadcasters to include Eurovision songs in their playlists!
As much as I didn’t like Eurovision 2023, there are quite a few selected songs that keep reappearing in my playlist from daily to weekly. The top tier would include the UK, Switzerland, France, Finland, and Sweden. However, Poland, Slovenia, Norway, Lithuania, Italy, Cyprus, and Armenia have a tendency to pop up on my playlist occasionally too. Israel is becoming my guilty pleasure. Its composition is cringe af (I literally die every time at the part “You wanna see me dance?! x3/Watch me!”), but the beat is so summer-friendly. May I say that my playlist includes some other songs… Read more »
I have been listening to finland and sweden the most but the others like norway and uk and Israel do come on my playlist regularly however israel does seem to be the one I losten to allot more when travelling to and from work as it seems to be on more of my playlists like summer tracks .
Italy, Latvia, Czechia, Azerbaijan (it’s such a cute little summer song), Malta and occasionally Armenia. And not from this year, but I really got into “Non mi avete fatto niente” from Italy 2018, so that’s also in my playlist.
As from National finals, Due by Elodie and Supereroi by Mr. Rain, and also Freya by Maria Celin.
I’m not a huge, huge fan of the studio version of Cenere, I liked it much more live, so I don’t listen to it as often as I thought I would.
Ohh absolutely!! I forgot to mention Supereroi and Freya in my own comment, such beautiful songs
Sweden, United Kingdom, Latvia, Czechia.
My top 4 are occasionally coming up in auto-generated mixes – I wrote a song, tattoo, power and watergun. Tattoo by far my most listened among a Eurovision song this year. Honourable mention for a national final song: Cenere “Italy”. My previous post-Eurovision obsessions – 2022: De diepte. Sun numero “Finland”. 2021: Embers Colors “Croatia” 2020: Looking Back and Don’t Break me (both hit hard during lockdown). Andromeda “Italy” 2019: Kruna In the shadow “France” 2018: Nova Deca Hmarki “Belarus”, Unfound “Denmark”, ?kv?pk ir Nepaliesk “Lithuania”, Delirium “Poland” and Nie chc? chiebe mniej “Poland (by far the best national final… Read more »
Finland(winner), Israel (my 4th), Cyprus (my 2nd) Australia(my 3rd) and also Austria, Sweden, Slovenia…. almost all the songs! 😀 So many good ones.
Sweden and Finland mostly, but also Latvia and the UK occasionally. I still listen to Kuumaa’s Ylivoimainen too!
I really love ESC 2023, there was a lot of diversity of artists, musical genres and most of the songs are really good and also allow so many people around the world to explore New music and to follow the artists that were unknown to them and that know are getting to be noticed worldwide. This is why I love Eurovision.
I’ve been mainly listening Finland, Iceland, United Kingdom, Austria, Portugal and Italy, also the karaoke version of Cha Cha Cha is on top of my most listened songs since May!
It really was a great year for ESC and now that the rest of the world was able to watch it online and also vote made them to get to know other artists from different musical backgrounds even if they didn’t qualify to the finals or making it to the Top Ten.
Maybe just me, but still listening to Let me Think About Me, by Paulina P, from Lithuanian final
Speaking of national final songs, I’ve been replaying Gladiator by Jann a lot. We really got robbed.
Slovenia, Latvia and Serbia but all their songs I fact.
+ Filip Baloš and Jann
As I had planned, I’ve been exploring recent national finals seasons that I missed– I had a 20 hour road trip this weekend and it was 2020, 2021 and 2022 NFs almost all the way. Holy cow, Sanremo 2021 was stacked.
I imagine I’ll have a solid 15-or-16-song group from this year that I’ll return to in the future.
Mainly Sweden and Finland.
So many of them!! Austria, Australia, Azerbaijan, Cyprus, Czechia, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Israel, Latvia, Malta, Moldova, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Serbia, Slovenia, Sweden and Switzerland!! This was such a good year and I of course adore the National finals songs as well! Gladiator, Hoida Mut, Air, Ca M’eunnie Pas, No Business on the Dancefloor, Samaa Taivasta Katsotaan etc! Solo is becoming a guilty pleasure for me- as basic as the song is, it’s sassy and fun! (Sorry for any misspellings!)
Also, Lord of the Lost’s cover of Cha Cha Cha is EXCEPTIONAL!
Cha Cha Cha
I know Jann maybe doesn’t count but he is my biggest discovery of Eurovision. The same as Maneskin. I listen to all of their songs and I became a fan. I wish to see both Jann and Maneskin live someday.
And I still listen to Luke Black, Sudden Lights and from my country Theodor Andrei, his other songs.
I still listen to Måneskin from time to time too! Their songs are often played in the radio here in Mexico 🙂
Air from Marcus and Martinus 😡
Me Personally it is super week year for the ESC . The Song that stands out the best is of course Sensationial Solo by Beautiful Blanka of Poland . She turned all of the hate and bullying “Fans” give to her in to great success and she has the true Winners Spirit unlike … Well u know who
It is also OK song from Norway . Good thing ulrick didn’t go with the Boring Ballad and same for the Thing that Participated in Polish Selections. Europe does not want to see this kind of stuff
My opinions haven’t changed drastically since the contest. My most played ESC songs are Serbia, Latvia and Sweden. Italy who was my fourth winner is also up there, yet I’ve played it less the last two months since I overplayed it during the months leading up to ESC. Australia is also a song that I still enjoy whenever it’s on.
Sweden, Norway and occasionally France.
I was listening to the Alan Walker remix of Cha Cha Cha (Finland) when it first came out, but its been a little while since I last played it.
latvia, norway
Norway / Sweden / UK 🙂
