Pesma za Evroviziju 24 will be hitting screens next year as Serbia’s national selection for Eurovision, and now broadcaster RTS has unveiled the 28 contestants who will be competing.

The line-up includes a number of familiar faces. This includes PZE 22 winner, and Serbia’s Eurovision 2022 star, Konstrakta, who got us all clapping along with “In Corpore Sano”.

But there are also some standout newbie acts in the mix. Teya Dora has become a known name in the Serbian music industry over recent years, racking up millions of streams and video views. She could well be one to watch out for.

Just an assumption purely based on the names, but Breskvica has an opportunity to win the televote. Lena Kovacevic will probably be the jury favorite. Also excited to hear Filip Baloš! Zejna and Yanx really have to stop sending songs to pze, it’s embarrassing already, I have a feeling they live locked somewhere on RTS and they let them out once a year to perform on pze. Ultimately, it will all come down to performances and songs, I’m supeeer excited to hear the songs!

You can’t base your reasoning on the singers popularity. Konstrakta was no one in Serbia, and still managed to get 44k sms votes which Is by far the biggest amount of votes in Serbia ever.

If she does win it, she should win ESC because she is a legend!

Some quite popular names from Serbian music scene:

  • Breskvica – very popular among younger generation, whatever she sings will get significant public support televote wise. Or at least public and media attention
  • Teya Dora – also quite popular
  • Konstrakta – I have a feeling she came for fun and to promote a new song. Let’s see
  • Lena Kova?evi? – strange only a few people pay attention to her among ESC fan community, she is among the best female vocalists when it comes to “proper” pop music. I think she will be popular among jury members

You forgot Durlanski – a jazz legend who fuses world music elements with hip hop. Will surely be very popular among carpenters.

Konstrakta is definitely there for fun and to promote a new song. She was there for promotion two years ago as well and she was shocked when she won.

Breskvica is definitely the frontrunner here in terms of popularity, but being popular doesn’t always mean much in PZE.

I’m so excited for many of these artists, but ultimately, everything comes down to the performances at the end of the day. Personally, I would love to see Teya Dora win the most, or perhaps Zorja. I really like the title of her song, ‘The Character in the Mirror.’ It might be something truly special and personal again, perhaps without ethnic sounds.

Seeing the return of Konstrakta has genuinly made me more excited then anything else this season! :-O

She ended up taking Serbia to the Top 5 for a reason last time, and that’s cause she’s a real artist with a capital ART to it!

I legit have no idea what a new entry from her might sound like, and I can’t wait to find out. 🙂

This is the most stacked NF Serbia had since 2000’s. I love seeing Konstrakta back but I think it’s a bit to early for her to return. Excited to hear Breskvica’s song, she’s currently the most popular artist in Serbia and has a massive following. Really exited for Zorja, Teya Dora and Filip Balos as well! PZE24 is gonna be a blood bath!

It seems quite a few artists who participated very recently are seeking to come back to Eurovision. They must have had a really good time there. Or they just wanna promote their new songs to their local public. Or both.

they got fat checks from streaming services and going to eurovision is the only way for people from small eastern european music markets like croatia, lithuania and serbia to get big amounts of streams

Milos
Milos

actually, the Western Balkans music market is not that small, due to the fact that artists from Croatia, Bosnia, Montenegro, and Serbia all sing in the Serbo-Croatian language. Also, Slovenia and N. Macedonia mainly belong to the same market. But I would agree that promoting a song is the main reason why so many artists come back to compete

Overrated Taylor Swift gets fat checks from streaming services. They got A check, probably a nice one, but I doubt it was that fat. They all have share with labels and most of them with co-songwriters and producers etc.

For most of them, but Teya Dora is breaking records with her song Dzanum, and her song has more “likes” (1.2 million) than all but about 3 songs on the official Eurovision youtube videos. So she didn’t/doesn’t need Eurovision. I think she would have been wiser to stay away.
