On December 22 she won the right to sing at Eurovision 2024 by topping the public poll at Festivali i Këngës 62.
And just weeks after fans got their first taste of “Zemrën n’dorë” (Heart in Hand), Besa Kokëdhima has confirmed she’ll be revamping the song.
Writing in the comments section of our YouTube reaction video, Besa made it clear she’s ready to do what it takes to elevate the song — and her chances of climbing the scoreboard in Malmö.
Responding to our criticism, she wrote: “Thank you babies!! Loved your reaction! Thank you for your kind words. You’re so cute. We’ll do our best on the revamp xx.”
Albania’s Besa Kokëdhima confirms “Zemrën n’dorë” revamp
Besa’s response shows that she’s open to criticism and ready to grow. She’s actively listening to feedback and ready to nip and tuck as needed.
Among other things, we suggested she create a more cohesive package — at the moment the balladry, rock and spoken word don’t quite cohere. We also suggested she move out of the grey zone by adding personality or some musical charisma. At the moment it’s just a bit too FiK-by-numbers.
Many of our readers have replied to our Instagram thread with their own suggestions.
“Keep it in Albanian!” @laurasiandixon writes. It’s a sentiment echoed by several others.
@esc_is_life suggested adding more ethnic instruments, while @j_shum999 said it’s not memorable enough. “More umph and some big notes needed….”
@tagihiragi wrote: “I really like the vibe the intro has, if they could continue that over to the rest of the song, I’d be psyched.”

First and foremost, KEEP THE LYRICS ALBANIAN! Second, don’t water down the music to sound pop-radio-friendly.
Language: preferably keep it in Albanian, but if you’re gonna add English do it on the rap part. The rap part: don’t ditch it unless there is something that obviously works better in that part and is different to the first verse, if it’s just another copy of the first verse it won’t build and won’t be as interesting. add more ethnic percussion to the first half make it follow more naturally from the chorus before it – it does go into the part after it quite well, but it feels very random after the first chorus Music: Keep all… Read more »
The song has grown on me, but I think a revamp is a good idea. Also, I guess that sticking to just one or two beats is enough, bc it sounds disjointed in its current state.
And please keep it in Albanian
I’m so tired seeing people hating on Besa for her song! Stop it! FIK has ended, Elsa Lila and Luan Durmishi didn’t win, get that clear! Her fans voted on a poll where she asked people what they want to see in the revamp, and people voted for: more hip-hop, more ethnic elements, the song should be kept in Albanian, and that Europeans should like the song more! Stop arguing and stop hating! Wait till the revamp get released and then give you opinions!
When it’s the “oooooooo”part, please show the back up singers. I really enjoyed that! Love the chorus.
I must admit I find the song a little boring sorry ? BUT there are Nice parts. The 2nd verse has a good instrumentation. Cool rnb! And Nice rap-ish. The entire song should use a lot more electronica and Rhythm. Less strings.
Another option is another song of course. More uptempo would suit her better I think. Rock? Dance? Electronica? Rnb? Rap? Many options
Good luck! ?
She should change the whole song with another one. A good one, this time. Albania will stay in the semi this year, this song is utterly bad and televoters won’t vote for it
Why arent you guys posting anything about Croatia? The Dora 2024 Songs will be published tomorrow at 14:00 central european time. This makes us feel really left out, like you dont want us in eurovision at all. I expect from a eurovision fan blog/site a equaly coverage of all the countries during the eurovision season. Especialy when its about the SONGS being published for eurovison. No hate. I just wanted to point it out to the Wiwibloggs Team so they can improve in the future. Still love them and the content they bring for us. But please post in the… Read more »
An Albanian song is fine by me, but with a classique ballad like this it is going to be difficult to qualify. (because it’s Televote only.) I would say ditch the rap part it’s too forced.
Just don’t overdo the revamp. No unnecessary instrumental edits, no translation to English, just slight edits to the song to fit the ESC rules. It worked for any other Albanian qualifier since 2018
Besa song is stolen from Sigma & Paloma Faith -Changing…the intro and refrene are the same
Elsa Lila was super vocalist, super song, like Celine Dion..she is favorite to ein Eurovision but when corruption enter in competition than Besa us there with her billioner father…shame…0 point from Rest of the world
Why ask the fans? I mean she is established and has something the masses like. Trust yourself and your instinct and you will do fine, like you always do.
Relying to much on what fans want as opposed to being true to yourself rarely works. As a wise artist once said in Baku” I rather end up last being myself than winning being what people wants me to be
I mean, we’ve seen this happen with Benny Cristo in 2020 when he came forward with three versions of “Kemama,” because the fans gave him some suggestions…
Stop screaming
Revamp or not…its just rubbish
I agree. pacavur is in albanian
When was the last time a revamp won eurovision? You can’t polish a turd
Well Tattoo won as a revamp of Euphoria
– add more orchestration
– keep rnb/hiphop part: actually, I think that part should be additionally highlighted with production, bass etc because it somehow works with the rest of the song
– keep the whole song in Albanian
– try something else and edgier when it comes to staging: not red and dark.
this song should be in English, hope they elevate their song, but in another words I like the song could do well with a good staging
Go for a VERY complicated staging, meaning there will have to be commercial breaks immediately before and after. Oh it’s Albania, that might not be allowed…..
imo, the main problem i see is staging because it’s ballad (of course) that goes into rap then back to ballad so idk . imo I think generally good song its just need to be impactful at the end and rap needs to more of big moment as well. I not saying I hate this song. It’s actually probably my favorite song so far. The ooooos need to stay and ballad part of song great but knowing Albania revamps they put in a intro melody. there’s so much potential in this song and Besa. And someone already said but I… Read more »
idk why there question marks but they were hearts and also keep in Albanian
Some people are saying to get rid of the rap part…DONT do that! The rap part makes it unique compared to some ballads. Instead, focus on the orchestrial arrangements in the background and bring them to the forefront to make it EPIC – since at Eurovision is will be prerecorded, you can go all out!
Make it bilingual (Albanian and English) and boppier (but don’t be like Ronela and make it kind of gross)
I would like it more in Albanian, I am afraid that in English the song would be lost, but let’s see…
I love Albanian, but this song screams it should be in English. I would say make it less ballady and more rnb/hip hop
Add some anthemic choir, a little techno beat here and there, a lot of reverbe screaming, rap part with autotune would be great and dance break with some twerking and balkan balad sound in the end
My advice, don’t listen the eurofans suggestions that are full of Eurovision cliches, don’t make a song to please the average eurofans tastes, you’re an established artist who already know how to be successful and rightfully so you already know how to please to the masses. What have done the eurofans in their life to have the pretention to give advices to big artists, nothing, no legitimity, and moreover no power on the results at the end. So Besa should listen her heart, her instinct, some advices from successful music producers yes if she wants to do a revamp but… Read more »
Exactly, look what happened to Ronela. THIS IS WHAT YOU DONT DO.
Ronela failed because of her staging. THE STAGING was the main problem there.
Fully in english, with a very american r&b instrumental sound please
Keep it in Albanian and with baltic sounds.
Baltic? That would be interesting for Albania
Do you mean Balkan?
I believe you mean, Balkan? I understand the mixup, because Baltic and Balkan look very similar.
I always expect the Albanian entry to undergo some kind of revamp, so I’m not surprised, but I would like the song to be revamped in a way so that it’s more memorable. I don’t know what it would take but right now it’s a song that just goes in one year and out the next for me.
I feel like Besa can go one of two ways to do well here. One is to lean into the spoken word sassy middle section of the song and make it more of a pop/rock number to bring out her personality as an artist The second way is to lose that completely and go full out bond theme type epic anthem with higher impact. I’m thinking making it more of an orchestral piece than what we see in the studio version I feel like mixing the two won’t work. Plus, at the moment it feels quite vanilla in its regionality,… Read more »
The Albanian formula
And it never works, but they keep recycling it lol
Perfect ingredients for ending up no higher than 17th place on the scoreboard.
I hope that she will sing her song in Albanian
