Gåte is my favourite from this semi. Also, My AI is very catchy, but will Norwegians go for something that pop, catchy? Farida’s song is also a very good one, playing in my mind since the first listen. I feel she will qualify.

Of course, it all depends on the staging and performance.

Did you also know there is a 5 minute long version of Elveham by Gåte? It’s from their album. Haunting!

I have a feeling fan favourites Gate will either do really really well in this NF, potentially winning, or ABSOLUTELY flop if their live staging is off, which it could be judging by the generic entries in semi final 1.

As a Norwegian I want Gåte, Anne & Dag Erik and Farida to the Final. I sincerely hope that Super Rob & Erika won’t go to the final, as I’m tired of these masked singers and their cheap songs now. BTW, here in Norway many thinks Anne & Dag Erik has a good chance in qualifying as country music is very popular here. To those of you who wonders about the song title, “Just Tenderly of Me” is from an old English poem that was the inspiration behind the song. Emily Dickinson; «This is my letter to the world» from… Read more »

The last masked song was in 2022. We haven’t actually had too many of them.

I pick Gåte, Mileo and then anyone but the AI song, I’m tired of Norway sending novelty acts

The last novelty act was 2022 but prior Norway haven’t sent many other ones.

I want a rule in Eurovision that only allows humans dressed as humans on stage and another rule already desperately needed in San Marino is to forbid songs that were in any way created or partly created by AI.

« My AI » didn’t include any AI in its creation process 🙂

Hopefully it did not. However, San Marino will have an actual AI-written entry in their selection. I am not overtly happy by that, but at least they are open about it. It will be scary if we get to a point where countries start having entries in their entries which are undisclosed to be written by an AI. Now, that would be very problematic. I agree, ESC rules need to prohibit (or at least strongly limit) the usage of AI.

Idk, it could actually help San Marino since their prior song felt even more like an AI song.

That’s why I referred to San Marino who is already going down that dirty road.

They should invoke the “must not bring contest into disrepute” rule, because AI does just that.

Do you actually believe the song was made by AI? It clearly isnt because that’s against Eurovision rules.

I love how “everyone” is like “we hate MGP for allowing autotune” and then next goes “Oh my god My AI is sooooo good, my favourite” . LOL!

I think with my AI that’s the exact point. It’s MEANT to sound like a robot, because there’s a robot or masked robot singer on the stage…also I think some autotune is fine.

I am thinking of writing a thesis on Super Rob and Erich Norwich, I really do think it is an exceptional pop song and could give Norway a very good result in Malmo. The characterization is fantastic and the production is top notch throughout. The melody is insanely memorable and the material is very current and universal. There is humour, fun, danceability and for those of you who like deeper meanings in your 3 minute pop songs, there is even a wonderful depiction of the insecurities of modern human existence that packs a punch without the need for lots of… Read more »

I will probably skip this semi as my country will reveal the song that evening (Raiven). My favourite is Miia so I hope 27th of January comes quickly.

It’s not my MGP favorite, but the “Why am I so ugly?” section of My AI lives rent-free in my head now.

(I also like Gate and Mileo)

Honestly I just hope the robot song stays out. I have had enough of Norway constantly going for gimmicks these last few years. And this one is by far their worst gimmick up to now 🙂

Remembering Subwolfer I’m sure that the robot song is going to the grand final. And I’m afraid it might even win the whole thing((

Never going to happen. 90% chance that Gåte will win… then Margaret comes second… “My AI” will be 3rd. Interestingly, ALL three of these acts are from the same town, Trondheim, where the grand final will be staged. the atmosphere in the arena is going to be insane this year!!!

Keiino have a serious shot at winning as well. Keiino and My AI will most probably be top 2 in the televote: I don’t know in what order though. They will most probably be low with the juries though. From these two Keiino will be higher in the juries so I think it has more chances to win than My AI. If a more “jury-friendly” entry ends up winning, I think it will be Gåte, since they will also have a higher televote score than Margaret or Miia. All those are just guesses of course for now and we need… Read more »

Well, Gåte and Margaret Berger aren’t from Trondheim, but from villages outside trondheim. The Sundli siblings from Gåte are from Orkdal (where I live BTW!) and Margaret Berger is from Hitra, an island. Nonetheless, the atmosphere at Trondheim Spectrum will be electric that night with so many local artists on show.

Was Queen of the Kings a gimmick then? The last gimmick was 2022 and before that, very few gimmicks? I can only count one.

Gåte for sure. Mileo and Farida ideally. I hope the robot gimmick isn’t as effective as Subwoolfer was. But I’m pretty sure it’s going through, so either Mileo or Farida are screwed. Possibly both, I wouldn’t be surprised if the third spot is a total wildcard. It’s Ulveham, My Ai, and everyone else.

Gate, Mileo and Eli Kristin for me.
This has the potential to be a bloodbath though. “Judge Tenderly Of Me” is probably the only song completely DOA. Any of the others could make it or miss out.
