Both Liamoo and Maria Sur were definitely worth of DtF. I like Liamoo’s song more but Maria Sur’s performance was more interesting to watch at. A tough choice.

i love Froken Snusk, very catchy song, masked singer meets eurovision, also i think there is a very good looking girl behind that hood, but like this there only is focus for the music, not the looks, very clever act

congrats on being no.1 in the swedish spotify charts too

Fröken Snusk was my favourite of the night. It was very current and actually sounded like something that Swedish people listen to which is why it got 12 points in the 16-29 age group. I can easily see Unga & Fria topping the Swedish charts and being played in clubs across Sweden this summer. I really hope they have a chance of getting to the final.

I totally agree! Even if I don’t think it will happen, but I would really like if we send Fröken Snusk to Eurovision. I want Sweden to sing in swedish in ESC and also send something different than we usually do.

Fröken Snusk is what you ESC WANT the Swedish people to listen to, not what we actually listen to. Sure a certain few does but it is definitely not the most popular genre in Sweden. If you saw the show, the song they sang in the very beginning, in the intro is more what Swedes like.

Young people listen to it. On the countryside.
But on average its not representive of culture

Unga & Fria is already number 1 on spotify and iTunes so it shows that this type of music is very popular right now with a lot of Swedish people. Liamoo and Maria sur are more melfest style songs/performances but I don’t think they will do as well in the charts when their songs are released

A lot of people, yes. But not all of them. She has her target audience, young people in rural areas and small towns
But if she wants to win televote she has to appeal to all groups, not just her target audience.

I’m REALLY impressed by Maria Sur’s performance! That staging is fantastic! Admittedly, I think I have a bit of a soft spot for C-Joe’s song, but overall this was probably the best heat so far.

Didn’t feel as strong for Liamoo as usually. He is great but the song was mediocre, his weakest to date. Even his 2022 entry was better. Not to mention “Hold You” ,the song that actually could have won back in 2019.
Maria Sur on the other hand was outstanding, much better than last year. Very catchy!
Also very surprised about Dear Sara, gem of a song

Now we are talking! The 2nd semi restored my faith in the Melodifestivalen! The 1st one was disappointing.

Both Liamoo and Maria Sur’s songs were fantastic! I liked both and I can see Dragon going far.

Rooting for my favourite Dotter, though!

I wish Maria went directly to the final instead of Liamoo, because her song is much better and the performance is cool. But I understand why Liamoo did it instead. I just hope he doesn’t win, the song is not there even if he performs it good. Sounds like Cyprus last year. I really like Dear Sara and Fröken Snusk is fun. The worst songs are out. So I’m quite happy with the result. I really enjoyed this semifinal.

Liamoo will probably win this year if not Danny , Jay or Dotter has something spectacular. Maria is really good to but there is something about Liamoo that Swedes like. ? Yes it reminds a bit about Cyprus last year , nothing strange about though, the same people are behind both songs ?

No offence but Liamoo will not win. Most Swedes will tell you that

I think the international juries will not go for Liamoo’s song. He sells it well, no doubt about it, but reviews in newspapers and bloggs in general are not impressed with the song.

Yeah as a Swedish person, I can tell you that it’s pretty much guaranteed that Liamoo won’t win. I’m 100% sure. My own guess before hearing all of the songs is that Danny will win. He is rumoured to have a real “winning song” by people who have heard it, and he is more loved by the Swedish people than Liamoo is. There’s a few others that could win too of course, but not Liamoo.

Danny is amazing but if he would be the one winning this year he will also have to have a song as “amazing ” to win it all. Will he ? Hopefully but I don’t think so compared to last song he competed with. Let’s see what happens…There are a few contenders for the win left to listen to but Liamoo has set the bar for this year?

The last song he competed with wasn’t meant to be a Melfest winner. he was only there to have fun. He even said so himself. If he, this year, is here for win, he will come with a different kind of song.

As a Swede, I agree. I like Liamoo’s song and it probably will get a decent result in the final. But I think the winner is going to be Marcus & Martinus or Danny. I don’t think Dotter will win because as good as Bulletproof was she hasn’t (in my opinion) done anything that good before or after and I don’t think she will now. And if it is true that Danny is here for the win he will be dangerous! This time there’s no Loreen standing in the way. M&M are good and could win but I think the… Read more »

Folks over the age of 45 really don’t like Fröken Snusk eh? I’m quite surprised Dear Sarah came in third, rather than Fröken Snusk. Fröken almost being eliminated is not something I anticipated either.

I can get why, it looks like she’s the Swedish Bellakath or Yeri Mua ._.

Well it actually seems very normal for Fröken Snusk, because older generations are not into this type of music and it they are not the target group either. It makes sense that Liamoo won the semi, since it could be appreciated by everyone

Alright, I predict Maria Sur and Liamoo DtF. Liamoo especially was so well performed I could potentially see it winning Melo (depending on later songs of course). Froken Snusk to the second chance round. I personally preferred Dear Sara’s song as the second qualifier as well. C-Joe brought great energy and although the odds seem to put him as the second second chance qualifier, the song just wasn’t my thing and I don’t think translated as well on TV as it perhaps did in front of a live audience. I think C-Joe and Engmans Kapell are out.

All her songs have been explicitly about sex up until this song. Probably because children are watching. But I’m not sure what she wanted with this song. Her mask is usually just a mystical edge on her explicit music.

Fröken Snusk is roughly translated to Miss Filthy. Filthy in a sexual way. Her songs are usually quite explicit but I guess that since Melfest is a family show with kids watching she had to tone that down. The horse she rode in on is reference to her biggest hit “Rid mig som en dalahäst” = “Ride me like a Dala horse”. Her music is of the genre EPA-dunk which refers to EPA which is a vehicle that 15 year olds are allowed to drive. It can be a normal car that is rebuilt to fit some technical demands and… Read more »

yes and?

even if she toned things down, still very much her style, also showcases how versatile she is of a performer, if she can tone some of that filth down

i myself would also perform with a mask or entire costume tbh, anonimity is best in recent times especially of everything PC
