“8 emergent acts” from Una Voce per San Marino 2024
Booom! – “Dance like this”
BOOOM! are a group of three ambitious artists: Luka, Matt, and Patrik, who are trying to pave their way through the music industry. Their music is evocative of pop-rock with synthwave elements, though their creative sides take them to unexplored genres as well. They are all singers and authors, they write and produce all of their songs, and they pride themselves on their fresh harmonies and interesting musical ideas. Over the years, they have become best friends, and the energy they exude when interacting with each other can be felt in their performances. They are a joyous bunch, and at the end of the day, they are just three simple guys who, more than anything, enjoy making and playing their songs.
Daudia – “With You”
DAUDIA is the singer-songwriter and musician duo Davide and Claudia, whose distinctive touch is the voices they harmonize and the acoustic instruments they use. Active since 2016, they participate in several TV programs in Italy and abroad, such as X factor UK, The Winner is, Area Sanremo, Sanremo Giovani, X Factor Romania and release many singer-songwriter singles. In 2020 they release the cover Jerusalema-Acoustic version which becomes a viral trend worldwide. In 2020/21 they release two albums “All Around The Pop” and “An Unplugged Merry Christmas“. In 2022 after a European tour, they fly to the United States to present the single “The One Who Said Goodbye” in New York, and in November they receive the Nassiriya International Peace Prize award. In 2023 they fly to Los Angeles for their concert at the NAMM SHOW and collaborate with Arisa in writing the Lucanian artist’s new single “Non vado via“, released on May 5. In June they release their new single “Just Us“. Touring throughout 2023, in 2024 they fly to Los Angeles for 4 concerts at the NAMM show.
Dez – “Freedom”
Francesco De La Caridad Ravo Hernandez, aka DEZ, was born in Cuba in 1998 to an Italian father and Cuban mother In 2001 his family moved to the province of Naples, where he grew up and became passionate about dance and hip hop music. At 18, he moved to Denmark to broaden his horizons and experiment with new sounds. Influenced by R&B, trapsoul and Neapolitan rap sounds, he began to record his first tracks and started to collaborate with European producers and artists with whom he began his journey among them, we remember, above all, Trinidad Cardona.
Kida – “Invincibile”
Kida, a San Marino singer who has been passionate about pop music since a very young age, began to give concrete form to her creative vein in 2020. To do so, she turned to the person who a few years earlier, when the singer was still in middle school, had taught a songwriting course in which she had participated: Piermatteo Carattoni (Lotus Music Production), who has remained her music producer ever since. In 3 years Kida released 6 original songs always accompanied by video clips: “Tu y Yo“, “I’m Back in Me“, “21/06“, “Winning“, “Turning Off” and the breakthrough “Same Skin“. With this song she reaches the final of “Una Voce per San Marino 2023,” the festival that the Republic of San Marino holds to crown its participant in the Eurovision Song Contest. With Al Bano as jury president, Kida has the chance to perform in front of a European television audience.
Masala & Foresta – “Paranoia”
Masala & Foresta do not like to call themselves, they want the audience to welcome them and call them what they feel and prefer. What is certain is that the two members produce their songs driven by a strong affinity and freedom of expression, which undoubtedly comes from listening to their music, surrounded by an aura of charm and good taste. Their artistic journey is different, but what they have in common is the time they have dedicated and dedicate to it, and the spirit with which they interpret unreleased pieces, whether created individually or together, or shared covers.
Mate – “Big Mama”
MATE, who is a singer and actress, was born in Naples. Her professional experience spans singing, film and theater. Many are her participations in television programs, and dramas. She has a lot of experience in live music accompanied in performances by important musicians. In February 2022 she won the Premio Della Critica “Sala Stampa” award for her unreleased “DNA” To a voice for San Marino June 2023 she opens Zucchero’s concert at the Arena di Reggio Emilia.
This is her third time in a row participating “Una Voce per San Marino”. She sang “DNA” in the first edition of the song contest and in 2023 she participated again with the song “Prisma“.
Megara – “11:11”
Cataloged as the perfect mix between the sinister and cotton candy, Megara has been, since the beginning of its career, in the point of view of the press and the public. Now after placing 4th at the Benidorm Fest (Eurovision preselection in Spain), they are trying again to fullfill their dream of participating in Eurovision, this time representing San Marino. Their style? The band has called it “Fucksia Rock” in an attempt to encompass everything that the band’s concept means. Music, show, choreography, history… In short, there are no laws in Megara. There are no tags.
XGiove – “Nostalgia”
XGIOVE is an Italian band founded in 2018. Fighting the fears of a generation, fighting against all forms of homologation to return to authenticity, are the main themes on which the band intends to express itself through its songs. Their music has climbed the podiums of Tour Music Fest, Cantagiro, Sanremo Rock, Premio Alex Baroni and last year, on this very stage, Una Voce per San Marino, where they achieved third place. After opening the live shows of Caparezza, Litfiba, Bandabardò and many others, thanks to this contest they added an important experience: the opening of Zucchero’s concert at Campovolo last year. This year they are here to present a newly released track, a manifesto of their thinking: Nostalgia.
Who do you think will win Una Voce per San Marino 2024? Are you excited for the final on Saturday? Let us know in the comments!
I enjoyed the rhyme of lost and frost
I continue to support Loredana Berte
Nevertheless, it will be very interesting final…
But I have a huge objection
Why should the judges decide exclusively????
This is unfair, people of San Marino, Italy and Sicily could vote
I somehow like XGiove. And then big chances to win : Megara and Loredana.
All ready for the show!
Pity there is no odds for this final…wonder what the chances are that they send Pazza. Will the jury go for that safe card? What do you think?
I hope they will ditch that stage for tonight. There is only enough for 2 people!
Who will win? I don’t even know who will participate… 😀
I AM excited, there might be a few gems in there, even if they don’t win
Megara’s video is a fantasy
Marcella to win pls, she could overtake Serhat as their personal best result maybe
such a good song, wouldn’t be out of place in sanremo either
And in the end, the jury will pick a boring SanMarinese act, and that’s it…
among the guests in the final are Mogol, Al Bano
both who know Marcella quite well either, so well i hope they make the right choice, and go with her ”Chi Siamo Davvero” would also then be the token italian ballad of the year since Italy themselves went more uptempo
11:11 Love
I have no faith that any of these talented finalists will get selected if their horrible jury gets their say
Really good lineup! The songs this year were much better than normal! Megara also got their second chance here which is great so see! San Marino have a shot this year!
I actually liked XGiove last year a lot.
Megara Queen SLAYYY
I have a challenge:
> Go to https://neal.fun/infinite-craft/
> Make as many Eurovision participants. Time span Until 20:00
> Post how many you created in this time span.
I have a feeling the same thing will happen this year that happened in 2021 when Achille entered after Sanremo. So Loredana entering w/ Pazzo will sweep.
Achille came with a different song, though, and probably his record label’s check book.
Yes. I remember that I liked Dominica better.
The judging of the rounds and semi-finals are so random…like Chorizo was such a good song, I was expecting it to go through. Overall, it seems San Marino just picks random people tbh
Am I the only one that’s confused with what’s going on in UVPSM? Such a small country with so complicated national selection. I’ll check the results only, since I’m afraid they will pick something random again.
I’m completely confused hahaha I feel like more people have been competing to represent San Marino than people who actually live in the country
It gets easier tomorrow night. Just picture it as a Lidl Sanremo.
That’s the reason I don’t follow UVPSM too closely, its randomness makes it so confusing
Omg i’m BEGGING for San Marino to choose Megara they are so talented and know how to put on a show. I loved Arcadia last year so much and while i think this song isn’t as immediate i still think it’s fantastic and has a lot more interesting elements imo. This would bring San Marino back to the final for sure
