The fourth heat of Melodifestivalen 2024 kicks off Saturday evening from Volvo CE Arena in Eskilstuna.

We asked you readers who of the six acts you wanted to go through to the grand final in Stockholm and the results are in.

The convincing victory went to Dotter and her entry “It’s Not Easy To Write A Love Song”, who got 605 votes or 43.97% of the total votes. Another Melfest veteran in Danny Saucedo with “Happy That You Found Me” is almost as convincing in second place, getting 328 votes or 23.84% of the total votes.

Dotter was saving her voice yesterday because of some throat issues, so we hope she is fully up to speed tonight to deliver what our readers want!

I’m just wiping down Danny’s brow, giving him his pep talk. Thirty minutes to go. We can do this.

I’m hoping that Scarlet can pleasantly surprise tonight. It feels a little different from what we usually get from Sweden

They were amazing at the preview show yesterday. I saw them live and wouldn’t be surprised if they do manage to go DtF to be honest.

Sorry to take advantage of this article to address a different topic, but as this is the most recent one… Shouldn’t we strive to cover all Eurovision acts equally? After Semi 1 of Dora, Wiwi published an article about Slimane’s performance (with the video). Yesterday was Semi 2, where Raiven performed her Eurovision song and there has been no article, no promotion (yet). I don’t feel this is right.

We’re looking for both people with a general interest in Eurovision and also people who have a specific interest in the Eurovision scene in their country.” Join… Read more »

I think the Slimane performance generated a lot of buzz whereas Raiven’s performance was a very light version of the song so it didn’t give us an idea of what she would be bringing to the Eurovision stage
