Luxembourgish singer Tali will be coming to the London Eurovision Party. She is the first particpant representing the Grand Duchy since 1993 – a total of 31 years. She will perform her Eurovision entry on the Here At Outernet stage in the UK capital on April 7th.
Luxembourg’s return was revealed on the day of the Eurovision 2023 final, which was widely celebrated by fans of the contest. The small nation even held a national final – the Luxembourg Song Contest – to choose their singer. Tali won this and thus will be going to Malmö for the Eurovision Song Contest 2024.
Who is Tali?
Tali Golergant is a New York based singer who has lived all over the world including Asia and South America before her family settled in Luxembourg. Because of this she is fluent in English, Hebrew and Spanish, and can largely speak in French and German also. Useful, since her entry “Fighter” is largely in French.
Once in Luxembourg, she grew up in Limpertsberg. She then moved to New York to study at Marymount Manhattan College, and now lives there full time.
She won the Luxembourg Song Contest in the superfinal against big fan-favourite Krick and Joel Marques Cunha, despite Krick winning the televote with her ballad “Drowining in the Rain”. However, nearly every jury gave Tali the 12 points she needed to win.
