They’ve been a fixture of the Top 5 of the betting odds ever since the release of their Eurovision 2024 song “The Code.”
And, following a stellar performance at the Eurovision PrePartyES in Madrid on Saturday, Switzerland’s Nemo has finally climbed to the very top, becoming the favourite to win the Eurovision Song Contest.
Eurovision 2024 odds: Switzerland the favourite to win
Two weeks ago, on March 14, the Swiss star Nemo had odds as low as 15/2, which placed them behind Croatia’s Baby Lasagna, Ukraine’s alyona alyona & Jerry Heil and Italy’s Angelina Mango.
But following a dynamite performance in Spain, the non-binary icon has seen their odds slashed to 7/2, jumping Croatia, Italy and Ukraine in the process.
Nemo’s performance in Madrid was among the most talked-about of the evening. Many were surprised, even startled, that sweet-faced Nemo was able to match the in-your-face, full-throttle energy of the studio cut.
“The Code” snakes through rap, drum ‘n bass and opera. It’s fun and unconventional — but it carries an important message about self-acceptance and showcases the perseverance many people need to live openly and freely.
For Nemo, cracking the titular code reflects the journey of learning they were neither male nor female. As they sing: “I, I went to hell and back/ to find myself on track/ I broke the code/ Oh, Oh, Oh…”
Using binary code as an analogy for black and white, male and female, Nemo unlocks their truth: “Somewhere between the 0’s and 1’s/ that’s where I found my kingdom come/ my heart beats like a drum.”
The rest of the Top 10 remains largely in tact. Croatia, Italy, and Ukraine all performed in Madrid, and each of them have maintained a spot in the Top 4. The Netherlands, Belgium, France, Greece, Sweden and Austria round out the Top 10.
What do you make of all this? Can Switzerland take it all? Let us know in the comments box below.
Odds are being very unfair with Portugal. That is sad.
Italy deserves to win this year and it’s a great masterpiece so though United Kingdom they are both amazing and truly magnificent!
Even though Nemo has an interesting theme, in the car I listen to Baby Lasagna. BL is simply great for a commute.
Ok, but I prefear Belgium or UK instead
YAWNvision 2024! Worst year ever!
The CONCLUSION:

Did you know? The idea for the “Grand Prix Eurovision de la Chanson Européenne” came in 1955 from Marcel Bezençon, then Director General of the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation (SRG) and Chairman of the Program Commission of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU). So it would be nice if the contest were to be held in its “birthplace” again after exactly 70 years.
Vocally flawless, musically very contemporary, Switzerland IS winning Eurovision 2024 and I can’t wait!
Hope that Italy, Croatia or another country would win; rather than this trash song
lol if THAT is a trash song wellll.. Give me more trash songs lol… most People don’t agree with your définition of “trash song”.. But it’s OK….
Agree. It is sad people now days do not appreciate music. They only vote for the weird, different or “funny”. A singer with amazing vocals won’t be voted but dude without pants or boy in grand-mama’s gown gets the votes. EBU should change the name of this competition to Eurovision Circus Contest.
What you just described is happening only in you mind…
It’s far from being trash. A bit shouty and hysterical at the beginning, yes, but it picks up quite nicely in the second half and leaves quite a good impression in the end (at least the studio version). After hearing all the songs for the first time, studio versions only, and ignoring the odds completely, I’d say this would land somewhere in top 10 – all things taken into consideration. With equal competition it would’ve been different. As to the others, Belgium (by far) and Norway impressed me the most, Slovenia and Italy were also nice. Malta is the most… Read more »
I see the theme of this year Eurovision is not he, she, but they. I don´t like that potentiation and forcing, but ok.
no, it’s not they. It’s Nemo. Just Nemo.
Sry
Ok, I have to say this. It has been a loooong time I haven’t seen so many non-sensical comments. I see that everybody supporting Nemo has been downvoted. That means one of the two (or both). Eurovision fans have completely lost their sense of a good song and just want a quick fix of a joke, like drug addicts. Or (and) fans are turning LBTQI-phobic and embracing that stupid narrative of the so-called “gender ideology”. Either way, be warned: You are not welcomed!
No bro, it’s just the invasion of Baby Lasagna fans from the balkans,.. You can see it also from the homophobic critics…
funny how the eurovision fandom says eurovision is pandering to queer people after ALL the singers participated on a LIVE event and Nemo ate all of them up. how stupid and homophobic y’all have to be
Very disturbing how many of the comments on a EUROVISION fansite are so weirdly anti LGBTQ
that is what I’m thinking too
Might just be one sad dude. Haters are loud but hopefully they’re few. Normal people who mind their own business and listen to music are still the large majority i hope.
I hope so, but it seems like the worst comments have the most upvotes
Yeah, I wouldn’t worry too much about this. The frustrated people seem to have a lot of time and energy to waste on this fight.
I was calling this out months ago already in response to Bambi’s initial victory. It seems like the site is becoming more and more hostile to non-gay LGBTQ identities.
That what you get when the former favorites is from a balkan state…
Much better than horrible Croatia. Finally some common sense is settling in this year.
come ooooooonnn …i largely prefer Switzerland too but Croatia’s not *horrible*
Is worse than horrible. It’s excruciating. It makes me want to vomit
Grow up troll.
You grow up you fascist bull
I rather vote a good rock-techno-folk song, than vote an circus act or a man who spits all the time while singing like that French dude does.
Croatia is giving the worst circus this year with a non-song and on top of it criticizing city people like any regular fascist
Switzerland brings art, but that is something that someone like you will never understand
Well, let’s not exaggerate
Ok, and where is this good rock techno folk song? I see only a mid rock techno folk song poorly executed.
For those who feel like dancing, “Rim Tim Tagi Dim” would definitely be a better choice.
Yes !! I said it was my 12 points long ago !
Hardly understandable why Switzerland’s average and trash song is so overrated. The song is just unlistenable and I prefer Italy, Belgium or Croatia over this.
He’s a good singer and I thought his live performance was quite strong, but the song to me is just too messy to be a winner. I do like certain parts of the song, but some parts also feel like they don’t really belong there.
Then again, I don’t see either Croatia or Italy win as well, so it’s definitely going to be an interesting outcome this year.
Who do you see winning?
I really don’t know! I feel like this year the winner might be somewhat of an outsider. Croatia or the Netherlands would make sense, if I wasn’t sure the juries don’t want them to win. Maybe Greece or Belgium if they get the staging right? I don’t think the juries and the televoters will agree on the winner, so it feels like anything can happen this year, very exciting 🙂
Who is your personal Winner?
Ukraine is my Winner this year. But yes, I can see at least 7 countries winning!
My winner would be the Netherlands or the United Kingdom, but I don’t feel like either of them will win.
Love Ukraine as well, I think they will do quite well with both televotes and juries so they seem like potential winners too!
Switzerland, Belgium, France and Italy will do great with Juries but not so much with Televote
Croatia and Netherlands will do great with Televote but not so much with Juries.
Ukraine will do good with Juries and Televote.
Ukraine might take it in front of everyone’s noses!!
Indeed passionate exchange today…..
Have a smile…: When W0KENESS goes WR0NG (!!!!!): 🙂 🙂

I bought that cow BL is singing about, but still no eggs! ? Does someone happen to know when cows start laying eggs? There some intolerant people keep saying to me that can only get milk from her. So closed minded, can you imagine?
I was just reading down the comments, and you seem to accept Dana International is a woman? At least be consistent.
There is nothing to accept! Whether I like it or not, SHE is a WOMAN. Not some confused “they/them” creature!
Non-binary people are NOT confused, that is the point. They have figured out exactly who they are, after years of living in a gender conforming society. “Cracked the code” as Nemo says.
How’s one not confused if he/she doesn’t know he/she has a p3nis or vag1na down there. They may as well call themselves carrots, elephants or Napoleons from the Bonapartes. It doesn’t mean they’re in a sexual orientation experience though. Cracked the code… morelike being cracked mentally in delusions.
Such transphobic grate, sad to see.
Hate
Well, that Is not exactly true, as you were unable to fight for any argument except to start calling names and shutting down those who disagreed with you. As a gay person myself, I believe there are lesbians (L), which are women attracted to women only; gays (G), which are men attracted to men only; bisexuals (B), which are men or women attracted to both genders; and transexuals (T), which are women or men who don’t feel comfortable with their gender assigned by birth and decide to change it with surgery and hormone intervention. All those QIA+s are some sort… Read more »
As a gay man, you are in a position to understand what being gay means. You are born that way, it was not a choice or result of cultural grooming. You just are what you are and that’s that. Some heteros still fail to get that, because it’s beyond their familiar comfort zone.
I think it’s a shame if WE then turn around and do the same to another group. We can’t just draw the line where suits us, and refuse to consider anything past it.
can you stop being transphobic? thank you!
Whenever an artist sings about his/her or them mental stuggles, broken love affairs or how sexy they are and gonna rule the world or their lover(s). They arent carrots but human souls sharing their journey with us. We all have our own travels through time and space being on Earth. You dont have to agree with it or like it. The last thing we can do is bowing our heads for eachother and knowing we all going through those processes. H@te and rejection are ugly things. At least we should saying Grace to eachothers excistence. Even if it isnt our… Read more »
I actually find the concept of non-binary to be quite gender conforming and that’s my only issue with it. No issue with Nemo whatsoever, may people be whatever they want to be and express however they want. I just don’t like the idea that a woman with traits that are traditionally seen as ‘masculine’ or a man with qualities that are traditionally seen as ‘feminine’ need to identify as ‘non-binary’. I would say that one of the good things of progress is accepting that both women and men are no longer trapped in gender stereotypes we were living before and… Read more »
but some people are neither a women or a man. is it really so hard to understand?
Or both!
yes or both
Sorry to dissapoint you, but it really is extremely difficult to understand. I can understand not feeling comfortable with your gender assigned by birth (or finding it unbearable) or hating gender norms and not feeling like you fit in any of the stereotypes but I can’t understand feeling neither like a woman or a man (same way that I can’t understand not feeling like a human). Having a sex and a gender is a reality of human experience and anything that goes beyond it is hard to understand simply because it is not part of it.
It can be hard to understand. I appreciate that, and get your point. A few years ago, I was part of a small awareness campaign on a university campus. We handed out pronoun pin badges that people could wear to show support. A surprisingly big number of well-intentioned students went for “they/them” pins, and based on what they said we could see they really did not get it. Just because a boy paints his nails, or a girl had short hair, that does not make them NB. It’s a lot deeper and more complex than that. Education and understanding on… Read more »
Can you explain how is it then? You are mentioning it’s much more deep and complex and I would really like to understand. I was called non-binary once and I found it completely misplaced, because when it was elaborated it was merely a suggestion that I can’t be a woman if I’m androgynous and displaying ‘masculine’ traits – my choice of profession and assertiveness. I completely understand anyone who is indetifying as transgender but I just can’t understand the motivation behind calling yourself non-binary. I find the term quite unsettling too, since it strongly implies other people are divided to… Read more »
Hm, to be honest, I’m not really sure if I am up to the big task of explaining it. I can say that it is nobody else’s job to assign you a gender. You are a woman, and perfectly comfortable with that label despite any “masculine” traits you may have. A non binary person weight not be. The label does not sit right with them, they feel restrained. That the term does not fully describe them. To free themselves, they shake off any chains that hold them back – this helps their mental health and finally puts them at ease… Read more »
MIGHT not be
Exactly, being a male or a female shouldn’t come with a label and most of us feel restrained by such constructs. I read sonewhere that anyone feeling that way is gender queer / non-binary but I completely disagree with that. Other people’s expectations of us should not define who we are any more than our gender should define or trap us. Any discussion I had with a persons identifying as non-binary, any text I read or video I watched was about them not feeling like they fit in other peoples or their own expectations based on their gender. Meaning, they… Read more »
And thank you for trying to explain it to me, I enjoyed seeing it from your point of view!
I also dislike your wording of ‘we have to trust…’ because it kind of feels dogmatic and churchy to me :D. I feel like we really need to have the space for open discussions and getting our points across. I appreciate your understanding, politeness and patience in this discussion though and hopefully we both can have some new insights by the end of it.
Its very good and interesting reading the exchange of thoughts between both of you.
Thank you for shining light!!
You seem to think non-binary is a state of being people are forced into? There are still very masculine butch lesbian women who don’t align with being non-binary. Being non-binary doesn’t mean androgyny or a mix of both masculinity and femininity because it is not a rigid third gender, everyones expression of non-binaryness is different because it’s an umbrella term for several different things instead of one rigid binary third gender that you seem to treat it as.
Btw, as written further below, I would very much appriciate some scientific evidence for your assertions.
If you can accept Dana International as a woman, you can accept Nemo as non-binary
If you want to better understand the subject, I suggest you to contact doctors in sociology and psychology that actually work on the subject. You won’t find answers to this subject with life science my dear. You have to search in human science field.
🙂 Nice try!
Omg I didn’t expect to see all the hate in this section today. Hardly few are writing about the song or performance. People are mostrly bashing poor Nemo for the dress and for their indentity as a non binary person.
For me , I have both BL and Nemo in my top 5 ( BL nr2, Nemo nr4 , to be presise) and no way I’m thinking about the gender.
I didn’t expect that kind of hate at wiwibloggs. And some of writers are taking it way too personal indeed…(
yes all this hate is so sad to read
Some ppl are hardly , deeply and personally touched by indentity of some artist. They come her on wiwibloggs, the blog about SONG contest just to spit their hate and their very important vews on that topic. Crazy!
Why are you twisting what people are saying?! Who hates Nemo?! Why is it not allowed for us to express our meaning that for us there is no “they/them” for a singular person. I am just speaking from a medical-scientific point of view. There is no doubt that he (yes Dane, HE referring to Nemo) will do very well, and by that I mean most probably top 3, but I reserve the right for myself to refer to Nemo as HE. He can call HIM whetever HE wants. Why I as a woman must not feel mocked by him wearing… Read more »
Nemo could be 100% man and STILL wear a dress. There is no rational reason for you to feel mocked, same as men do not feel mocked when women wear trousers.
But I do.
?As you are avoiding giving me any scientific evidence, let me try this way. A “non-binary” person (for me a male) comes to me because of an abdominal pain. I tell “them”: I am so sorry, but we have to immediately remove your ovaries. What do you think, would “they” accept that diagnosis? If not, WHY not.
I did mot mention you particular. I’m a woman as well and it doesn’t bother me at all that they are wearing a dress. It’s a personal choice of each person what to wear, 0 problems .
If Nemo identifies themselves as a non-binary and begs everybody to accept it and call them “they”, I have 0 problems with that as well.
The JK Rowling Effect
and the worst thing is that it doesn’t affect them in their lives, so it’s so weird that it bothers them so much what people identify themselves as
Sad, really. I never know if it is best to call out transphobic bullsh!t when I see it, or just let it fester and die.
The more you talk to them, the more hysterical they become…
I never actually care about the transphobic rabid mob themselves, just about any impressionable minds that might read their ignorant words.
It’s hard indeed to wade through their comments to find some decent opinions about the songs/performances in here .
Im reading your comments with great interest.
Its a great pleasure even online people can have a fine exchange of thoughts.
So much needed on the Wiwi platform and also so much Needed in the World.
Its now or Never!!
What in a transgender hell has been going on in here today?
Just a discussion about some basic facts/laws of nature. Nothing particilar.
Trans people exist in nature, we all agree.
Absolutely! So what’s wrong with a trans woman calling herself she and a trans man calling himself he?!
Nothing!
So, why has it to be “they/them” then? Is she/he not enough?
Non-binary means just that. Non binary. Not one or the other.
Sorry, but I simply don’t get it how that’s possible. I must be preconditioned for my medical profession.
Do you need to “get” something for it to be true?
Evidence. Just scientific evidence.
Not everything comes with scientific facts and I say this while being in my 3rd year of PhD in molecular biology…
I know not everyone can agree with this gender fluidity. I can understand that some people feel lost in it. Gender fluids people don’t ask you to understand them, they ask you to let them be. They cause no harm. And before you say that they do with all the propaganda, just point your fingers towards companies that want to make money with those propaganda that no one asked for.
“Gender fluids people don’t ask you to understand them, they ask you to let them be” golden words
That baby doll dress is creepy. It’s giving me infantilism, not non-binarism vibes.
Yeah. I liked the conductor uniform from the video. Those colours suited him well. Wish he’d stick with that theme.
Hopefully Nemo will NEVER conform to what society expects. Never dial down your true self to fit in. There needs to come a point where we shout STOP to ourselves, enough is enough. Just be.
Well said, Jonas (btw, my cat is also named Jonas) 🙂
Aw, give Jonas an extra treat from me.
That’s what I am trying to say for myself here today: ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
You can’t deny the simple fact that Nemo is vocally just better than Marko, who was more than once not on key in his live performance
Nemo’s live vocals (plus any backing vocals that all artists use) were superb. Song and vocals pass the test. Now the staging remains to be seen.
Same as Pavaroti is a better singer than Mick Jagger, but that doesn’t mean anything, because Marko sings and performs with his song better and better. Vocal quality might give some points in judges department, but in terms of performance, you can’t sing much better than Marko with this style.
Actually, Marko wasn’t out of tune. You talk nonsense.
I’m not buying these odds. Switzerland? Ummmmm, top 10 at most
It’s a very weak year.
Eurovision is becoming more and more a queer exclusive Event.
Unfortunately, so true. 🙁
Yes and you make it sound like it should be a problem. God forbid we have to be open and welcoming to everyone, right? If you don’t like it then you can watch something else. We will not miss you
A perfect example of your “tolerance” and being “open to everyone” and “welcoming” everyone. Ben was just speaking about an “EXCLUSIVELY” queer event, what you obviously want the ESC to be. It is you having troubles and not accepting people who are different and feel differently (read: being straight).
Hi again. I mean I’m a cis straight guy, so with your logic I will exclude myself. HAHAHAHA try again.
Power to you, Dane!
It’s so wearying to hear closed minded ignoramuses whine about presence of “openly” gay people when society at large is still almost entirely centred around a hetero default. Imagine growing up as queer surrounded by this.
It makes me so mad and sad that queer people have to experience this on a daily basis. It’s not that hard to respect people’s identity!!
Nemo is a gay MAN and as a such we do respect HIS identity and wish HIM all the luck of this world. And we will congratulate HIM if HE shall be the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024. Get it?
Fcuk off, please.
Again: WISHFUL THINIKING.
as jonas said :)))
Power to all the Peoples.
Imagine there was such a discussion about uhm lets say Eden of Israel. And there has been ofc, but already halted in an early stage by a specific fandom.
Its horrendous Nemo are attackted on their persona in this way.
It would have been more normal talking about liking or not of their song.
And somehow the Israeli finds a way to make it about himself
Why do you keep getting triggered?? Is it fear? Self loathing? Loneliness? Have you banged your head?? Tell us! We will help you!!
It’s disgust.
Go organise a straight pride parade.
I don’t need to show off publicly that I am proud of my sexuality and identity.
Have you ever experienced someone being disgusted by you simply because you’re gay?
That is always to be called out! Two men being in love. Him loving him. Whats wrong with that?! Have I ever said that? I am just for myself not accepting that “non-binary” “they/them” utter nonsense!
Am with you in this non-binary utter nonsense..
It’s really getting out of hand.. decide what you are, you have a dic•k or a puss•y?!? It’s very simple, everything else is simply mental problems.. there I said it.. peace
Privilege.
but you do that simply by being able to kiss and hold hands on the street without experiencing hate crime
You’re disgusted by Nemo? A kind, gentle, talented individual who simply identifies as non-binary? As Jonas said, fcuk off.
I disgust the participation of Eden representing a country commiting Warcrimes, a huge onslaught and the biggest Humanitarian Crisis in our recent time.
The biggest mistake by the EBU letting them participate at ESC24!!
But we cant say this openly isnt it?? As you pumpkins might feel offended……………..??
Its disgust. i completely agree with you Iv***
Fizz… Your “DRAMA ATTACK” is maifesting again???… Get over Israel already…. (you are going to get a nervous breakdown darling). Unlike you – I DO SUPPORT the participation of SIMPLY ALL !!!!! It’s MUSIC NOT POLITICS…. 🙂 (btw – Israel sends a great and quality entry)
Hahahaha. no drama here pumpkin just reflecting!!
Exclusively queer, yet somehow still dominated by hetero songs, hetero acts, hetero hosts, hetero producers, and hetero viewers.
Your wishful thinking!
There wasn’t any ‘tolerance’in voting for Bashar competing in the Icelandic national Finals.
“It is you having troubles and not accepting people who are different and feel differently”- end of quote.
This edition is toxic from the start already unfortunately.
So don’t make false accusations to others not playing in your field.
I don’t understand the relation to the topic regarding Nemo.
yep, thats how tolerance or the lack off for that matter works pumpkin!!
How exactly does the mere presence of queers keep others away?
It is an extremely weak year. But that is not the reason. The reason is that the average quality of the songs is extremely low. BTW Eurovision has always been queer. The difference is that today it’s more visible.
There are still a lot of things that can happen. By now it was only the eurovision bubble watching the entries.
But if the EBU wants to win someone they can do that by using farming techniques, Sound, camera, mixture…
*framing
wiwibloggs can you start moderate this comment section and maybe ban people who spread hatred too, if that is possible?
Yes, ban THEM!!!
lmao I just know these downvotes are the people wiwibloggs should ban
How does banning people align with your inclusiveness?! Just because they view your opinions negatively?
denying someone’s existence should not be praised
Whose existence is denied? Nemo’s? He surly does exist. He is a Swiss musician. Are you seeing ghosts?
as Jonas said, fcuk off :))
Dane it doesnt matter unfortunately. Even posts talking about peace and Unity, understanding, blblabla and so on, are getting downvoted for that matter.
United by Music has become such a hollow slogan.
They only unite as long it fitts their own narrative.
Just out of curiousity, whom are you referring to with “they”? Nemo? Then I do agree.
Your curiousity killed the cat!!
Meow.
Why Dane?… Instead of debating and convincing with your ideas – are yoy trying to C@NCEL PEOPLE?? …. That is SOOOO LAME and LAZY!! Simply self entitlement (Who gives you the right to decide and shape the debate arena??? Who??)
There is no need to debate people’s identity. It’s simply not an option. People must repect others and don’t be a -phobic
Great Dane !! So then RESPECT ME !! I believe God created solely ADAM & EVE (he did not include: ADAMA, EVO, ADAMES, EVAVES, ADIMA, EVUs etc..)
omg can you believe it, but god also created the non binary people :ooo but no I will not respect people who deny someones existence. NEVER
If referring to Nemo, I fully respect him as a man. Having a problem with that?
can you stop quoting me when you are just keep saying your nonsense? NEMO IS NOT A MAN, SO NO YOU ARE NOT RESPECTING THEM
This is so funny!!!! “Nemo is not a man”! 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
okay, it’s clear that you lack the ability to understand, so I think you should stop writing to me
As already said twice to Jonas: Wishful thinking. My next reply to you is just around the corner. 😉
HE IS A MAN. An adult human male.
I can tell you that they are not, so i’m happy you learned something new today
I think you and your friends arent a perfect example of not cancelling out peoples with other ideas and visions as yours.
“Simply self entitlement (Who gives you the right to decide and shape the debate arena??? Who??)”- end of quote.
Take a few days reading back all the toxic comments you and your friends have put in this room concerning the participation of Israel in this years ESC edition, pumpkin.
Fizz dear, Delusion is a medical condition baby – NOT (!) a state of mind…
and in regard to the participation of Israel “Me and my Friends” were nicely pushing back ( 🙂 🙂 ) “YOU and YOUR FRIENDS” agenda – to ban and cancel Israel… 🙂 . SOOOO NOT NICE in the name of inclusion…. (don’t point to others your own mirror image…pumpkin?… 🙂 )
We and our Friends are entitled friendly pushing back to reject the participation of an artists entry at ESC24 from a country who is commiting Huge Warcrimes. You and your friends, I used calling it your Ilk but got feedback on that are not pushing back in a nice way on the matter of Hurricane getting involved into the contest. So talk about delusion as much as you want pumpkin. Finally we brew a delicious Pumpkinsoupe, with carrots and garlic. The oven is already heating up in serving a perfect Baby lasagna, so we will deliver the soupe before as… Read more »
“Me and my Friends” may get upset if the soup “You and your Friends” are preparing doesn’t taste good…. 🙂 🙂
Its difficult to ruin a delicious Pumpkinsoupe.
Only if the pumpkins are rotten it could.
Ha! You will have better luck wishing for Santa Clause to fall out of the sky.
unfortunately
I think he might lose about 100 points because of the dress. He is a unique artist, this is what viewers connect to. Yet, this is still a contest and he’s there to compete. The dress only distracts from the lyrics, even the vocals and song. It’s great he has his own agenda and he is who is, but maybe just a different outfit.
I think you’re right that a different outfit, even a different dress, would help. This particular dress is a bit ugly and doesn’t fit well. It’s not exactly the taste level of Conchita, who looked immaculate in 2014 and always does.
I suppose it doesn’t help that the photo above makes Nemo look like a character in Silence of the Lambs.
Better to lose a hundred points than to lose the essence of your soul!
I’m not saying don’t do it, I’m just saying do it well.
That’s entirely subjective, though. Dana International gave in to pressure in Birmingham. She panicked at the last minute and ditched the JP Gaultier feathers. To think… if she had not won, that iconic image would have been lost to us!
🙂
(Nemo should bring Celine’s 1988 dress out of storage)
YAS!!! Awesome idea!!
“Ne partez pas sans moi”
I agree, I love his song, but with that type of outfit everybody’s gonna focus on his peculiar looks instead of what a great song he’s representing Switzerland with.
And it begs the question whether for Nemo it’s the song and the chance of winning that’s more important, or whether it’s making a statement and calculating how best to make a spectacle on stage.
“Spreading the good news” is more important!
I bet #teamNemo have a fantastic bunch of creative Souls together and we shouldn’t worry about the outfits for a pre-party or a photomoment!!
Thats part of the fun and excitement isnt it??
I was so happy to see Nemo rise to the first place in the odds, it doesn’t necessarily guarantee a victory, but quite often, the odds are right. I loved “The Code” from the very first listen, it’s my absolute favourite, a masterpiece in my personal opinion. PS. I don’t really care if Nemo is non-binary, I just love the song, it’s neither a deterrent nor an incentive, but some people can’t see past Nemo being non-binary.
Malta 2021.
Favorite in the odds until the first rehearsals where France took the lead, before Italy eventually became the ultimate favorite.
I won’t take any odds for granted until – at least – the rehearsals.
The odds are usually wrong until this point, with a few exceptions (Netherlands 2019, Ukraine 2022 or Sweden 2023).
Nemo might win, or lose.
I think that Croatia, Ukraine, Belgium, or even France and Israel are still very strong contenders.
I really like his song, I wouldn’t mind it if he won in May.
yes their song is fantastic
Agreed! I love their song 🙂
It was abot time that the odds change as genuinely did not think Croatia stands a chance with juries. If you look at the team Nemo is working with, from songwriters to choreography, you can see they’re pulling all the stops to win this. And they can. The song is not to my personal taste in honesty, overproduced and trying too hard. Still prefer the story behind Baby Lasagna and their song, friend nominating him for the contest, being on a spare list and only in the country final as somebody else pulled out. Seems like a genuine and down… Read more »
You can’t convince me that the public will get this entry (outside the fandom).
Ok. Stay unconvinced. It’s fine.
I agree with you. I personally won’t be voting for it. I don’t like the song.
Hm.. Ok, I completely respect singer’s talent, don’t get me wrong. The talent is obvious but the song… Personally, I don’t get it. I’m very much aware what is about and I do respect that, but sonically is one big mess. Melody is all over the place…it feels forced and comes across just weird for the sake of being weird. :/ And yes…there is that dress which I find very distracting and unnecessary.
