The London Eurovision Party 2024 is on! Our team are currently collecting artists at various London airports and shuttling them into the heart of the British capital. Some have already arrived, and they’re sipping on premium flavoured spirits from our sponsors HOXTON SPIRITS LONDON. And let me tell you: the mood is high. Hoxton defies convention with their banana rum, pink gin and flagship tropical gin. More fruit means more flavour. But our readers likely knew that…

In any case, here’s the nitty gritty on today — and tonight. Starting at 14:00 GMT, I’ll be manning the livestream inside HERE at Outernet in central London. The stars of Eurovision 2024 — along with some very special guests — will be stopping by to answers our questions and yours. It’ll run until 17:00 GMT.

Please note: We have a moderator watching remotely and she will be blocking spammers and provocateurs. Keep it cute or we will put you on mute.

London Eurovision Party 2024: Timings for tonight’s blowout concert at HERE at Outernet

Timings are local — London BST.

Good grief. That stage was smaller than my local social clubs. What an insult to the artists.
Michael Rice has guts mind…..singing his second to last song again. Well done mate.

Marko, Raiven – great, as expected.

Kaleen, girl, get your s**** together. You are my 3rd fav, but those vocals are not it. Congrats on the wardrobe malfunction, it was almost beliveable.

Other notable performances… Slimane, Gate…and Bambie Thug? Damn giiirl!

And Keiino… Bless them. For real. They sure put a smile on everyone’s faces.

P.S. Can I just add that I find the Finnish Windows95 men less annoying than the Dutch guy? (who was again M.I.A.).

About Belgium: I agree that in his London performance his vocals are not good but I believe that he can sing, he just needs to restrain himself a bit more in the ESC performances where it really matters. In the first half of the song he needs to be calm perhaps with a mic stand and then during the climax he can go all crazy. He can have a great stage presence while keeping the vocals on point if he wants! Because the song is amazing

It’s great when a song has a great performer to go by, but it’s necessary to keep everything under control. Sometimes excessive enthusiasm can harm the performance. Achille’s completely over the top and exaggerated performance comes to mind.

Not that it will help Tali in semi one, but last night I was dead impressed with her rendition of “Hold Me Closer”…don’t usually like cover versions but her vocals were controlled and on point and she made it sound authentic…loads of people near me said the same .

True. The weight of the top helped keep it in place. Didn’t phase her and she leaned into it at the end… Professional vibes.

I also see Belgium flopping this year, no appeal, no charisma and his voice….not good enough. I hope the staging will elevate everything but if not I see a non qualification for Belgium coming…

Perhaps a little more restraint from Mustii could help. Though it was funny when he disappeared into the audience at the Madrid party. Surprised he resurfaced fully clothed lol

So Georgia is a definite qualifier and Belgium turns into a definite NQ based on the last night’s performances. Also, next year Luxembourg should pick a track of their own, instead of a Mellfest reject. Can’t blame people didn’t connect with Tali’s song. It’s enough we have one Swedish song in the contest, we don’t need two….

cheer me up? i don’t need much cheering up myself, am just being nice to Israel their entry

tbh Georgia are always a force to be reckoned with at the junior eurovision, about time they were stepping things up at the adult eurovision too but tbh they were robbed in 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022

Joost his song is growing on me nicely i guess, just not listening to it much to preserve some of the magic, i am not listening to most entries to preserve some of that magic for next month

Good morning. I hope you all had a good time. I heard there was a wardrobe malfunction with Austria, but it was handled well. Plus, Ireland seemed to go well on the video. Denmark went okay. Italy really impressed as usual, the crowd really loved Lithuania. 🙂

Belgium just got extremely unappealing to me after that performance. Austria could be a vocal train wreck too in Malmö, but I fully expected that. Luckily, Italy, Norway and Slovenia never disappoint, so I can keep my faves. Except Belgium, bye bye to that one. I disagree with those who say pre party performances shouldn’t be taken seriously. They often are a good indicator of what’s to come and who has real abilities.

About Belgium, it’s great that Mustii is enjoying the parties, but at the same time, I hope the Belgium team can learn from this. There is currently too much “soul on fire” happening in the first part of the performance where the song is supposed to be self-reflective. I think singing into a mirror or in a box of mirrors for the first half of the song would actually makes sense, choreographically. Then, when the “soul on fire” lyrics start, that is when to ramp up the energy to the massive Outro.

The show just finished and I’m heading home. 1am on a Sunday is not great but it started an hour later so that was unfortunately expected. The heat inside the venue in the middle of the show was unbearable. So much so that Marcus and Martinus genuinely were asking if we are ok. Also the show had unnecessarily too many breaks. Not sure what went wrong with the organisers but it’s just a shame that all the singers did such a great job only to find a crowd that was not very satisfied with everything else that was going on…

I’m starting to see the videos on YouTube. Georgia was really big and loud, wow. Watch out for this one. Poland – oh dear. 🙁 I’m really sorry Luna, but that singing was under pitch for half of the song. That’s actually quite amazing considering the low vocal range. Painful though. Estonia – That was fun! 🙂 Latvia – Still the same as before. Luxembourg – She’s quite good, but the crowd needed some work to be enthusiastic about her. Maybe it’s the song they don’t like? Curious. Slovenia – Effortless and mesmerising, still. Croatia – “Hello London.” Haha! He’s… Read more »

Bla, bla and bla, firstly there’s nothing wrong with those lyrics translated or not, secondly just to remind you that a classic portuguese ballad won in 2017, and a classic french ballad almost won in 2021 so I don’t get your point…also do you mean that a classic french ballad can’t be special? You’re wrong and Slimane will prove it. Now possible to let this song in peace until Eurovision?

It can be ofc, but people are used to seeing this kind of stuff from France. I like the song and his performance, but it’s really not gonna win. Perhaps Jury voting. But there’s nothing distingushing that will make majority of the public vote for him.

Used of what? Did they send the same song in 2021, 2022 and 2023, not at all, if the fact to sing in french makes all the song the same for you, I can do nothing, btw in 2022 it wasn’t in french, so used of what?

There is a wave of racism around Slimane in France and in some region of Europe.
Because he is of Algerian origin and has Arabic as mother tongue, many people say that Slimane is not a true French, so he cannot represent France at Esc.
He declared that problems started at the announcement of his participation at Eurovision, and now they are still bigger.
He was also compelled not to insert Arabic phrases in the text of the song, because they mmight be disturbing for someone.
