But who is Luna? How old is she? What is her musical background? And does she have a moon tattoo? Spolier: yes, yes she does. Here are our 10 Facts about Luna. Let’s do this!

1. Ola Olga Luna!

24 year old Luna’s real name is Aleksandra Katarzyna “Ola” Wielgomas.
Before she adopted Luna, she performed as Olga, not Ola Wiegomas. She adopted the stage name “Luna”, because the Moon holds a great influence in her life. She told Polish media Super Express “Luna is the goddess of the moon, a guide to the lunar world of music. I took my nickname from my fascination with mythology and interest in astrology. I like to reach for knowledge about antiquity and old eras.” (The moon translates to Luna in Latin) She also told our Cinan in an interview: “I’m coming straight from the moon and I want to give you a lot of light, power and magical moments”

2. Luna has performed in Operas

In 2010, A young Luna joined the Artos Children’s Choir at the Grand Theatre in Warsaw, where she performed in operas and studied singing with Danuta Chmurska – a conductor, artistic director and president of the Władysław Skoraczewski Artos Music Society.

It is not just her singing ability Luna loves to show off on stage. Luna took her first artistic steps in kindergarten, attending the “U Machulskich” Theatre Centre. And from 2015 to 2017, Luna performed the role of a Kraków woman in the performance “Miracle or Krakowiaki and Highlanders”

4. Luna is a talented musician

In Latin the moon translates to Luna, and our Luna has a signature crescent moon tattoo on her chest. She feels that, even though it is not the name given to her by birth, she was born as Luna.

I love Luna’s song, but she needs to polish up her vocals based on what I heard at the London party.

Why everyone thinks she is gonna get eliminated? Poland knows how to make some noise and they should be fine.

Dark horse. Very catch song. I am sure Luna delivers great staging. If only judges don’t harm Poland (as they used to do) Luna can finish in TOP 15

makes sense

  • Daddy a CEO for a huge company
  • her having performed at the opera

one of the oldest cliche’s honestly, not that opera’s should only be for the rich (what our operatic singer Tania Kross btw is trying to be against, to make opera more appealing for all people rather than it solely being a genre for the upper class etc, Tania won masked singer and tbh i love if she represents my country Netherlands someday with a Elina La Forza similar entry)

Poland is in my top 10 this year.
Luna gives me solid AURORA, Lyra, Florence or Clare Maguire vibes and I’m so here for it.
Song is catchy and I’m really hoping for a solid live pin Malmo. If she does, she could do very well especially with juries in the final.

Best of luck Polska
