Germany is ready to make a comeback with Isaak! He won the national selection Das Deutsche Finale 2024 with a perfect score of 12 points from both the jury and the public. Isaak will represent Germany in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Malmö with his song “Always On The Run.”

1. He grew up in Porta Westfalica
Isaak was born in the town of Minden but grew up in Porta Westfalica, a small town in Western Germany, where he lived with his parents and took his first steps towards a music career. Currently, he resides in Espelkamp with his own family.
2. He is married to Loreen
Isaak is married to Loreen, not the former Eurovision winner but his wife, who shares the same name. Isaak considers this coincidence “a good sign.” They have been married for 7 years, and Loreen has been his biggest support throughout his Eurovision journey. Many Eurovision fans may have seen her during Germany’s national selection, and she will also join him in Malmö for the Eurovision Song Contest.
3. He’s a father
Isaak and Loreen have two sons: one is 5 years old, and the other is 2 years old.
4. He started by doing busking
Isaak began his musical journey by busking on the streets of his hometown. In an interview with our William, he revealed that he encountered verbal street bullying during that time. However, the support and encouragement from those who enjoyed his music motivated him to persevere.

Isaak competed in the talent show X-Factor Germany back in 2021 and his audition song was “Wonderwall” by Oasis.

Despite having a deep passion for music from a young age and enjoying singing, Isaak began to focus more on writing and composing his own songs during the pandemic. back in 2020. These original compositions eventually led him to win the Show Your Talent show the following year and gained significant popularity.

Beside his incredible voice, Isaak knows how to play numerous musical instruments such as guitar, piano, ukulele and drums.

Isaak openly acknowledges that he went through dark times in his life, which he reflects in his music and discusses openly when asked. He admits that his life was chaotic and troubled before meeting his wife, Loreen, who played a pivotal role in helping him find peace and stability.
