Until now biggest rise on the odds since the beggining of the rehearsals:

Portugal! 53% chance of Q—-> 69% Q six days after!

Bit worried.
I was a bit disappointed by Teresa and Maria, because I had high expectations.
They said themselves that the NF were too dark, so I hoped for something more light and colorful.
But the dress and clothes are good and light, though.
It has a good famous director, looks very professional.

Ireland’s staging is managed by a 22-year old Spanish boy, Sergio Jaen. And get the name because I guess we will be hearing from him a lot in the future Eurovision stagings, like a new Sacha Jean Baptiste, Martin Dietmann or Fokas Evangelinos. Mark my words.

We will definitely see Ireland in the Finals.
Bambi’s stage presentation is miles ahead of everyone else in this semi, including my two favourites: Croatia & Lithuania. I can’t wait to see the full three minutes, even though I’m not a fan of the song.
As for Switzerland…not sure what they were thinking when they chose that outfit.

My take on the snippets (don’t read if you want constructive criticism): Cyprus: looks too dark Serbia: nice graphics, still I’m a bit worried about it Lithuania: too much flashing, other then that – looks solid Ireland: the next moment she was going to pull up the guy, it’ll be awesome performance, I can feel it Ukraine: very classy and artistic Poland: did she changed her shoulder towers? or did it look so bad only on the photos? this is better Croatia: yup, this is qualifying Iceland: Hera is a goddess, her song nice, but forgetable. Judging only these little snippets, it’s clearly Ireland and Ukraine and I have neither of those as favourites. Ireland is trying hard to succeed this time. Interesting: Ukraine chose a snippet completely without the rapper (which is fine for me because I only like the singing parts anyway) and Finland a snippet without the singer and only the creepy windows guy. Choices.

Ireland is amazing, period! However, highly disagree with you in relation to how much this act is connected to Irish culture. It has minus 100 % of connection to it. Australia, Serbia, Slovenia, those are the only countries in this semi that actually showcase something related to their culture, hystory, art. Doesn’t meter who likes or dislikes these songs, i’m just referring to the cultural thing 🙂

Well there is a connection to Irish culture. Bambie has ogham writing on their face, which was used in Ireland between the 4th and 7th century. It was also used to write the Irish language, so there is a connection to Irish culture and history in their performance. I would imagine that the drawing on their forehead is Celtic, and if it is, then it is important to note that Ireland have a very strong Celtic heritage. These are what I have noticed from the pictures and second rehearsal clip, there could be more connections to Irish culture, so I… Read more »

Songs are 3min long… Anything could happen.
Song I don’t personally love, but I need to admit was ALWAYS delivered live is Portugal. Again, not my personal choice. But realistically, this needs to qualify.
Croatia put all of the money in this performance, for a reason, they will not have this chance for winning in the next 25 years… Last top 10 for Croatia was in 2001. ( I think ). I wish them to best that result.

About the artists/songs selected by national finals, i.e., that we already saw their live performances: Ukraine is the most surprising, though the staging kinda reminds of Bulgaria 2021. 10/10 Lithuania and Portugal are perfect, don’t fix what ain’t broken. However, Lithuania should have a male backing vocalist instead of a woman (like the studio version. It would fit the song more). 10/10 Serbia is too dark, they should use purple in the led background, just like they did in the NF (it is the same color of the Ramonda flower). 9/10 (but an 8 considering the stage alone). Iceland: it’s… Read more »

Ukraine has killed it today. I say that confidently and without any hesitation. Some are right when they say that it’s tiring to see how well Ukraine does with songs (and especially staging) year after year, but I promise you, even leaving the staging aside, the song is a real stunner. The chorus alone is a real earworm. I’m just being honest. Ireland is also doing incredibly well, but I HATE the chorus. I hate the blue colors. I hate the random dancer.
