Contrary to the commonly perpetuated myth about the song contest killing careers, we’re always thrilled to report that singers associated with Eurovision are thriving.

Here is our latest weekly roundup with a selection of the songs released recently by Eurovision stars.

New music from Eurovision artists: 2024 | Week 43

Damiano David – “Born With a Broken Heart”

Damiano competed in Eurovision as part of Måneskin and won the contest for Italy in 2021. Beyond his work with Måneskin, he’s also embarked on a solo project, and this song marks his second solo release. It features an incredible retro-pop sound that highlights his versatility and vocal talent. The music video, with its old Hollywood aesthetic, showcases his skills as a dancer, giving it the feel of a cinematic musical, reminiscent of La La Land. Lyrically, the song explores the pain of a broken heart that seems beyond repair and the fear of becoming a burden to a loved one: “What if I said I’m trying/ To save your love from dying/ Baby I’m too far gone/ Don’t wanna see you crying/ But I just know who I am/ Maybe that’s the hardest part ohhh/ Baby you can’t fix me, I was born with a broken heart.”

Aiko – “Regal”

Aiko, who represented the Czech Republic in this year’s Eurovision, is back with her latest song, which is sure to stand out in your playlists. This powerful track features pop-rock elements and addresses the need for a “detox from the ego,” focusing on people who try to be someone they’re not. The lyrics include: “You need a detox from your ego / Oh, it seems so hard to be you! / So were you looking for a crown? / Oh wow! Stop getting all worked up now.” The music video adds some extra dark vibes to the whole mix.

The lyrics include: “I got a message from the other side / The moon was low and the spirits high / It touched my soul like a new romance / I lost control. It was some kind of trance.” The animated music video leaves viewers craving a sequel or at least a cartoon series about Bambie and their adventures. Benjamin Ingrosso – Pink Velvet Theatre

Benjamin represented Sweden in Eurovision 2018, and his long-anticipated album is finally here. Teased with hits like “Kite,” “Who’s Laughing Now,” and “Honey Boy,” which were performed as an interval act at this year’s Eurovision, the album was produced by Vincent Pontare and Salem Al Fakir, known for their work with major artists like Avicii, Katy Perry, Madonna, Sia, A$AP Rocky, and Lady Gaga.

Over two years, Benjamin crafted an album that captures a surreal universe filled with intense emotions and vivid imagery. Its sound draws inspiration from the music of the Bee Gees, Queen, and Elton John, creating an eclectic mix of nostalgia and innovation that invites listeners to immerse themselves in a thrilling, unpredictable world of love.

The lead single, “Back to You,” is about rediscovering love, while “Angela” channels an ABBA-style vibe. According to Benjamin, “Angela” serves as a modern twist on the Peter Pan tale, portraying Peter’s longing for Wendy after she leaves Earth—making it a metaphorical love letter to innocence and nostalgia.

About the creation process of the album, Benjamin stated:

“This album has been evolving alongside my personal growth as an artist and songwriter. It’s a modern love story—like a contemporary Romeo and Juliet, only set in a dreamlike world where love blurs the line between reality and imagination.”

This week, Sanja collaborated again with fellow artist Nucci to release “Vagabond.” The song features turbo folk influences and boasts a cinematographic music video that depicts a small-town romance. The lyrics capture the complexities of loving someone who is already taken: “- You love me like crazy, my vagabond / It’s clear for me, my heart is awake / I kiss other lips every day / Somebody else sleeps next to me / – I love you like crazy, I’m your vagabond / It’s clear for me, my heart is awake / Because of you, I drink every day / The pub is my second home.”

I too concur. I’ve been following them around Europe via YouTube cam videos from fans. They’re AMAZING (BT and Coven)! And now supporting Baby Metal on their European ARENA tour .. that’ll be cool. Fangtasy is a classic out right out of the gates… So catchy, great lyrics (again), but totally accessible.

Happy Halloween Both.

I love Bambie Thug’s new song. It is so catchy. This song deserves a lot of the radio airplay that they never got for Eurovision. It’s a perfect Halloween boo!
