They’re the four-piece rock band that recently won the inaugural edition of Montesong 2024 in Montenegro. And now as NeonoeN look toward Basel, they have a Eurovision 2025 revamp in mind.
Speaking to us in a car outside of a café managed by lead singer Marko Vukčević, the guys made it clear that being the first act chosen gives them time to experiment with their song “Clickbait”.
NeonoeN confirm “Clickbait” revamp for Eurovision
“There is so much time for the song to live its life like this and enough time to make some changes for the competition [in Basel],” guitarist Ilija Pejović says. “It’s like we have the opportunity to make two songs….we will discuss it.”
Some of those changes may involve the lyrics. Marko wants the majority of the song to remain in his native tongue.
“In Montenegrin for sure. It’s always better to bring the message in your language. You feel more comfortable with singing. And we want to put our language on the map.”
But Ilija adds that there is room for English, “especially in the verses.”
“But maybe some of the chorus can be sung in English because it’s pretty easy to make it in English.”
Marko elaborates, singing” “Clickbait, I’m so addicted to hate. Clickbait, oh it’s never too late. Clickbait.”

It’s a bit boring, but I don’t hate the song. A Revamp could work. Most likely a NQ
I really hoped that Montenegro would return to eurovision with a qualification..Then this song came. Unfortuantely i think that a revamp won’t be able to save this song
To be honest at least it stood out among the other bland songs in the selection. At least it has a better chance of qualify than the other songs
i don’t hate them i just don’t think their song is competitive enough and has slim chances of qualifying.. that is not hatred just prediction.. i could use a stronger language and say that other delegations are probably praying Montenegro to end up in their semi..
Ok cool! They are nice guys! Personally I find the song very cool but that’s true it lacks of progression, they have to make evolves each chorus during all the songs because once you heard the first chorus it’s like you heard the entire songs and in Eurovision you need more surprises to rightfully surprise the public. This song needs more energy on stage too, it’s an energetic track but the staging in Montesong didn’t translate this very well. So they have a good base to work on imo, with a really good message, and more importantly they have already… Read more »
i would cut out the first 40 seconds where absolutely nothing happens and than at the new beginning much more hard metal guitars my friends – maybe then we get a completely different vibe.
🙂
Nice idea!
