See you in Basel, Nina Zizic!

On Sunday Montenegrin broadcaster RTCG confirmed that Nina will replace NeonoeN as the country’s Eurovision 2025 singer. She’ll perform “Dobrodošli,” which translates to “Welcome.” And she is most definitely welcome.

It’s been a circuitous route back to the song contest for the Eurovision 2013 alum.

At the end of November Nina finished second at Montesong 2024, losing to NeonoeN by just one point. That’s despite topping the jury vote and coming fourth with the public.

It soon emerged, however, that NeonoeN had performed their song “Clickbait” prior to September 1, thereby breaching EBU rules. RTCG consulted with the EBU about what to do and the band said they would accept their fate. But in the end the four-piece rock group decided to pull the plug on the Eurodrama themselves and withdrew.

In an Instagram post on Sunday, the official Montesong account wished Nina luck and told her to celebrate and laugh, adding: “Preparations begin soon. The next stop is Basel!”

We do hope there will be some stops at the pre-parties in between, including the London Eurovision Party on 13 April 2025.

Are you excited that Nina will fly the Montenegrin flag in May? Let us know down below!

This is definitely not just another meaningless song with bland lyrics, but will she be able to convey the message of the song to those who don’t understand the ex-YU languages?

Montenegro’s national has been a shambles. They failed to properly vet the entries, resulting in Neonoen having to withdraw. The show ran 3 hours when it could have easily run 2 – it took 40 minutes from the start until we saw our first contestant. Emmelie de Forest was obviously not getting translation, and looked totally lost. Painfully obviously, nobody had prepped her on name and title pronunciation, as she struggled with the song titles in the voting segment. Lack of preparation, lack of coordination, and a result that was cast into doubt within days – Montenegro could have done… Read more »

certainly better choice.. now a revamp here would actually make sense.. with a bit of luck, they actually may get to the final, and with an impeccable staging (think Ireland 2024) they may end up top 10

a nice start with my favourite as the first revealed entry 🙂

now hopefully Czechia send Civilni Obrana’s Vlasta to Basel, if i am correct about that one, the length fits 3.03

hoping Samu Haber is competing in finland’s UMK

would love Klara Hammarstrom for Sweden (long overdue if u ask me)

Poland i’d rather had a internal for JoJo Siwa but they keep being them i guess

Fine but they would’ve replace Easyjet with the new airline sponsor in 2026 with more reliable workers. Easyjet can be unreliable most of the times and I hope Nina won’t fly with it.

No, they support Russia and Israel in Eurovision to have them as a sponsor. They never support Eurovision artists who are traveling and they are unreliable. They are political and should be removed as a sponsor immediately in 2026.

This airline does never provide holidays for poor people but to provide them for rich people and for Martin O. Just they need to be removed as a sponsor soon as possible and immediately in 2026. Worst sponsor ever. Duh.

Wow Its A Shocked Choice To Make , It Is Clear Montenegro Telewisions And People Of Montenegro Have No Ears . The Results Of A MonteSong Was So Corrupted And Its A Joke . People saying this def won’t qualify and it’s DOA are kinda delusional in my opinion, it’s quite the strong “balkan ballad”, it has certain “Bond-esque” vibes to it. Idk, it could do well. Definitely not DOA, not even close to it.

But it is Dobrodosli for 2025. Good luck Montenegro!

Dobrodosli is quite similar to “Proud” by Tamara Todevska (North Macedonia 2019) and that song would’ve qualified with televote only Semi-Final in 2019 (remember that Semi-Final 2 in that year was pretty tough to be honest), so for now I’m feeling pretty confident Montenegro might make it to the Grand Final. It all depends on the other countries in the Semi-Final and the song quality, so we’ll see

Well, well, well… Montenegro being Montenegro… I have nothing against Nina, she is very VERY talented, but her song didn’t click with me that’s why I was happy for NeonoeN cause it would have brought something really new and original for Montenegro. Now I’m not that bitter so congratulations to Nina. To come in Eurovision in this context must not be really evident for her knowing why she can come in Eurovision and some Eurofans will be rude to her I guess because of that. Now this “drama” pre contest is only an eurofans thing, the general public doesn’t care,… Read more »

This is not good. She should have had some integrity and withdrawn, since she didn’t actually win. At least she won’t qualify with that generic ballad. Respect to all the other artists who stood with NeonoeN. Shame on Nina for not doing the right thing.

She missed it by only 13 sms votes, but also winner won less than 500 sms votes and for all 16 artist only less than 2000 sms votes were sent in total. 2000 is a very small # for Eurovision standards, that doesn’t tells us much tbh

One can *never* go wrong with a well performed Balkan ballad. Based on the stage performance in Montesong, I expect an extraordinary show in Basel. If so, it could well go through into the GF. Great to see Crna Gora back!!!

She is a stronger pick than Neonoen. I wish that they’d improve on staging because there’s not a lot going on to keep the audience watching in the middle half. In some parts of the live performance she does hit a bum note, but that’s not something she can’t work on by the time she’s in Basel. Do I think “Dobro došli” can qualify? Absolutely
