The wait is over! Spain’s Broadcaster – RTVE – has revealed today the 16 songs competing at Benidorm Fest 2025 in a special press release event live from Madrid. The event is now also fully available on YouTube:

Dive into this year’s lineup and see who might take the crown this year next:

Benidorm Fest 2025: the participants and their songs

Click on the song titles to listen to this year’s entries. The competing songs will be exclusively available on RTVE’s ‘RTVE Play‘ platform until Friday, December 20th. Starting at midnight on Friday, the songs will then be released across all digital platforms, as confirmed by the artists on social media.

Please note, most official music videos will be released in the coming weeks.

Benidorm Fest 2025

The show is less than two-months away until it kicks off. This year, RTVE saw an influx of nearly 1,000 song entries — a new high for Benidorm Fest

Back in November, César Vallejo, Benidorm Fest’s co-director, highlighted the impressive diversity of genres in this year’s lineup, noting the challenging selection process. “Many outstanding entries couldn’t make it through,” he shared. César also clarified that, unlike in past years when RTVE extended direct invitations to established artists, this time, every single submission—including those of the chosen participants for Benidorm Fest 2025—came in through the same song submission form.

RTVE has advanced today that the traditional orange carpet, which serves as Benidorm Fest’s inauguration event, will not take place this year following last October’s Spanish floods in the autonomous region of Valencian Community.

Additionally, as RTVE announced last summer, fans will have the opportunity to vote ‘free of charge’ via an app for this edition. However, the demoscopic jury vote, which was typically composed of a panel representing a sample of the Spanish population, will not be used this year. “It no longer makes sense to have a demoscopic vote now that we will implement a free app vote,” explained Ana María Bordas, Spain’s Head of Delegation. She also noted that for the Benidorm Fest 2025, the voting process will be divided equally between a jury and a televote, with the televote comprising 50% app votes and 50% SMS votes.

So… who should win Benidorm Fest 2025? Who did you like the most? Let us know in the comment section below!

Esa Diva is fabulous!!

The standout track on first listen is La Pena. After watching the lyric video and checking out the artist, I couldn’t help but think—if she can deliver this flawlessly live, without autotune, it would be a dark horse – and with inventive staging…

The song follows a classic formula, yet it manages to feel fresh and inventive. However, the more subtle tracks, which resemble today’s radio hits, don’t feel like Eurovision material. Unfortunately, I can’t see the Spanish audience choosing this, despite its potential.

Melody “Esa Diva” works fine – Strong dance track (with castanets!) But I have to admit I was transfixed by the video to “Mala Feminista” because it looks like a Spanish version of “Saltburn” – congrats for making that 🙂
I dunno, I don’t hear a winning song here (sorry Spain), but maybe the live versions will be better.

I dont know if these songs Will flop or top at Esc but I think this year’s Benidorm Fest is going to be a good show.
What I dont understand is why people have this craze for predicting things when year after year they never get it right.

After 2 days of listening to the songs, I found that Esa diva could do great on eurovision because she has a big stage presence, lachispa is good too and I expect a lot from her but it will not be appreciated by eurovision fans like eaea so that’s why simplicity with talent is better like esa diva, artist who can bring energy, bring Vocals, bring choreo and maybe a dance break

There’s little here that screams “Top 10 in Basel”, but I’ve learned that it’s hard to judge BenidormFest songs on these clips because you really need to see the staging. Overall, there is variety although there are few too many that try to tap into the Eurofan “banger” definition. Tbh I don’t care that much for most of these. Lachispa is a standout, although I’m wary that like “Eaea” and “Mi familia” this will not go down too well. Of the others, I quite like DeTeresa, David Afonso, JKabello and Lucas Bun.

The song in Spain that can leave them in the top 5, even winners, is that diva melody, the producers of the same song as the winning songs, vomo Euphoria and tattu by Loreen and heroes who have won Eurovision

After a couple of days of listening now, i definitely think the song that can get a really good result for spain is without a doubt La casa, i see another Chanel moment where she might even be top 3 with both jury and televote

It could be, but we would definitely see the live show first. Celine is a totally unknown artist, we don’t know anything about her voice or talent on stage.
It could be a happy surprise, like Chanel. Or it can also be a disappointment. Let’s hope for tge first.

Whatever they staging for this song IS, I dont think she is going to dance. Having her dancing does not seem to match the attitude she has throughout the song.

Personnal favourite is Amor barato. First listen i thought Ah nana would bè the obvious choice in the poll.. Clearly not. Hartita could potentially be a real eurovision moment.. Clearly.. In the end Eurovision being eurovision esa diva could win the sélection. Really good sélection this year… I m not always impressed with benidorm.

La Pena stands out to me, I like the old movie copla vibe and the song tells a fun story. If DeTeresa can translate this effect to the stage it could be really interesting. I also like La Casa for similar reasons, but for some reason the livestream yesterday didn’t like it so I’m not very hopeful about spanish voters picking this one sadly.

“Hartita de llorar” is much closer to Fusa Nocta’s “Mi Familia” than it is to Blanca’s “EaEa” and Fusa was a banger that failed miserably when sung live, something that won’t happen with this one. As such, I have high expectations for her since it is the only song that could potentially leave a lasting mark in the public, while also potentially doing well with the jury.

Those supporting Melody or Sonia&Selena must be crazy. Those songs are good dancing trsck? Could be. Are good songs to be chosen in 2024? Absolutely not at all

Went through the entire list of songs fully, and was left feeling so dissapointed.

The majority sound very similar with none that blow me away, but my pick of the bunch is ‘Reinas’ by Sonia Y Selena. I found that one the easiest to listen to and I enjoyed it.

The other four that round off my top 5 (in no particular order) are:

J KBello – V.I.P
Kuve- Loca XTI
Mel Ömana – I’m A Queen
Melody – Esa Diva

I just did a one go listening session : My first thought is there’re a lot of effective radio hits here. I like the urban representation with “I’m a queen” and “VIP” (something I would love my country France to embrasse for future NFs^^) and also a sort of nostalgic pop/schlager trend with “Reinas” and “Esa Diva” which instantly scream guilty pleasure of the ESC season. Both could work well for Spain international wise thinking of these added elements widely associated with Spanish culture (flamenco and trumpettas). Same applies to “La Casa”. My 2 favorites tonight are “La Pena” and… Read more »

I lived in Spain a few years ago and I totally recognize the flavours and voices of Spanish music. Spain is doing Spain like Estonia has been doing Estonia over the past few years. I like when countries go their own way without thinking about ESC standards. Don’t get me wrong, I love Sweden and their Eurovision bangers, but they are masters at doing that. Spain has finally understood they can’t do the same they simply pick the best bunch of songs they have in stock without trying to humour Europe’s taste. Sooner or later success will come.

I like the fact that Spain got the memo from last year and decided to go back to latin/spanish pop, what europe wants and expects from them

Our opinion doesn’t count. Our picks for 2024 and 2023 were Agoney and Jorge Gonzalez, more similar with the fan favorite Chanel. In the end, the Spaniards have picked bulerias and traditional entries, like Blanca Paloma or the atrocity Zorra. We all know how these two ended. They don’t care of ranking well in the final, so they won’t care of our opinion. I expect them to pick a bad song. No high hopes for Spain, as we also have for UK and Germany…
