On Saturday, 1 February, at 21:10 EET (20:10 CET), Riga will be on air for the semi-final of Supernova 2025 – Latvia’s Eurovision selection.

With all the songs out in the open, we asked you to choose your favourite from the 19 competing acts.

You let your voices be heard, submitting 1,255 votes. After tallying up the results, we have a winner…

The Ludvig is a favourite to win Supernova 2025 with “Līgo”

Jēkabs Ludvigs Kalmanis – alias The Ludvig – returns to Supernova this year. Back in 2017, when he was just seventeen years old, he reached second place in that edition of the Latvian selection. With his comeback, it seems that he might do as successful or even better. He won our poll with 280 votes, or roughly 22.31%.

In second position, we see a name familiar to many. Eurovision veterans Citi Zēni come to Supernova 2025 with their song “Ramtai.” In our voting, they racked up 14.34%, or 180 votes.

With some distance, we see Tautumeitas with “Bur man laimi” in third place. The band earned 8.37%, which is 105 votes.

  20. Rūta Dūduma – “Chemical” – 0.96% (12 votes)

Although all the entries received some love, a clear top two formed among our readers with The Ludvig leading on top. As live performances always gave a new edge to the entries in Supernova, the semi-final might change our favourites yet again.

Grēta Grantiņa, who finished fourth in our poll, unfortunately had to withdraw from the competition due to health problems.

Do you also think The Ludvig is the standout act from Supernova 2025? Which entry has a shot at making it to the grand final in Basel? Which one is your personal favourite? Drop your thoughts in the comments!

Many faves I have in this selection, not sure any of them will end up being chosen though.

Kobra, Legzdina, Chris Noah and Tautumeitas, for me!

I don’t understand why and I’m a latvian. Since the x factor everyone here is supposedly obsessed with her. I don’t get it.
