Two names in particular will stand out to Eurovision fans.

Athena Manoukian won Depi Evratesil when it was last held in 2020 with the song “Chains on You.” Unfortunately, Eurovision was cancelled that year and she never made it to the big stage.

One singer who has performed at a Eurovision contest before is Anahit Adamyan. She represented Armenia alongside Mary Vardanyan at Junior Eurovision 2016, where they finished second with “Tarber.”

We’ve got to wait a little bit longer to hear the songs. The competing entries will be unveiled this Sunday, 9 February.

Depi Evratesil 2025 is set to take place on 16 February from inside the Karen Demirchyan Complex in Yerevan. The decision on who becomes Armenia’s representative for Eurovision 2025 will be determined entirely by public voting.

I’m sure there’s an article somewhere about Eurovision artists who lost out the most from Covid. Athena Manoukian would feature prominently, so it’s no surprise to me that we may end up seeing her at Eurovision one day after all. Good luck to her. Just out of memory: Probably the biggest tragedy is Montaigne for Australia, who even couldn’t perform two years in a row (2020 AND 2021) because of that darned coronavirus. Another big loss was Ulrikke Brandstorp for Norway who tried to win MGP again to come back in 2023, but a queen of kings took away her… Read more »

Anahit has performed in [country] propaganda show called Novaya Volna song contest and proudly presents it on her social media.

Does AMPTV support war crimes too?

So Jamala supports also war crimea cuz she have participated there as well.. stop with the politics. She‘s Armenian and represents the Armenian colors.

Jamala was there in 2009, Anahit was there in 2024!

Hopefully you’ll remember when [country] started the war, or this is the single dumbest thing you could have said.

As I never really liked “Chains on You”, I don’t care if Athena wins this year or not. I don’t know why some people are so obsessed with her. Maybe the other contestants have better songs…

Maybe because she never got her chance to get to the ESC stage due to unfortunate circumstances (but the same can be said for Aksel and nobody cares about him anymore)

This is very strong lineup compared to 2020, but I hope Athena will win

Athena already won this contest 5 years ago , got the official right to represent the country in the contest , but wasn’t internally selected after. Why she has to compete in this again while she should have had the right to be internally selected ? However , if this is the case eventually , i hope she has the best song in the lineup so that the justice can be finally served.

First, Armenia didn’t even compete in 2021 because of the situation with Azerbaijan. Second, maybe she just didn’t have a good song to go to ESC again? It’s not as simple as just pulling a good dong out of your magic hat. If she has the best song, she will go to eurovision, but no-one owes her anything. Other 2020 artists also didn’t go to eurovision, that’s just how the cookie crumbles.

I really like Gevorg, I was already rooting for him in 2018, I hope it’s his year.
Also Athena the Depi Evratesil winner 2020 curious to see what she will bring.
The Jesc runner up 2016, no comment.
Really curious to hear the songs now!

Sigh, let’s try this again:

None of these artist have other style than pop music done with medicore lyrics and a simple sound, I’d rather have something like last year rather than what we got in 2019.
