Who is Red Sebastian?
Red Sebastian (real name Seppe Herreman) first appeared on Belgian TV back in 2013 on Belgium’s Got Talent. He made it to the final, and then took time to study at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent. There, he was tutored by Belgium’s 2023 act Gustaph. His alter ego Red Sebastian was created in this time, which was named after the lobster in The Little Mermaid!
He went on to participate in Sing Again, a TV show in Belgium. He was a finalist, proving his talent once again. Seppe was then picked to be part of Belgian national final Eurosong 2025. His entry “Strobe Lights” is an homage to the Belgian rave scene, making it one of the most true-to-local-culture entries we’ve had from the country in a while.
He won the final by absolutely dominating the televote and jury, with a 219 point difference in televote score alone (not bad considering his score was 291 points!). Add in the 132 points from the jury, and he had a score that was nearly triple 2nd placer Leez. With such a huge admiration from the Belgian audience, we know he’ll get a huge reception in London for LEP 2025!
