Sixteen countries will compete. But only ten will advance to the grand final. Welcome to Semi-Final 2 of Eurovision 2025.

The second show of this year’s contest is sure to draw a lot of headlines. It features a series of very colourful acts, some of which sent social media into meltdown with their risqué themes and lyrics. See, for instance, Finland (“ICH KOMME”), Malta (the song formerly known as “KANT”), and Australia (“Milkshake Man”).

The second show in this year’s contest also includes Austria’s JJ, who the bookies have neck-and-neck with Sweden’s KAJ (from the first semi) at the top of the odds table to win the entire contest.

But before they can think of the grand final, these 16 countries have one very big task: surviving semi-final 2 — and the televote only voting system.

Running Order

During the semi-final allocation draw, the sixteen countries were drawn into the first half or second half. Producers are now deciding the precise running order based on making the most interesting show (considering things like visual flow) and also practicality (the time and difficulty of moving acts and their props on and off the stage).

Running Order

First half

🇦🇹 Austria: JJ with “Wasted Love”

🇱🇹 Lithuania: Katarsis with “Tavo akys”

🇦🇲 Armenia: Parg with “Survivor”

🇲🇪 Montenegro: Nina Žižić with “Dobrodošli”

🇬🇷 Greece: Klavdia with “Asteromata”

🇮🇪 Ireland: Emmy with “Laika Party”

🇦🇺 Australia: Go-Jo with “Milkshake Man”

🇱🇻 Latvia: Tautumeitas with “Bur man laimi”

Second half

🇨🇿 Czechia: Adonxs with “Kiss Kiss Goodbye”

🇮🇱 Israel: Yuval Raphael with “New Day Will Rise”

🇲🇹 Malta: Miriana Conte with “Serving”

🇫🇮 Finland: Erika Vikman with “Ich komme”

🇩🇰 Denmark: Sissal with “Hallucination”

🇱🇺 Luxembourg: Laura Thorn with “La poupée monte le son”

🇬🇪 Georgia: Mariam Shengelia with “Freedom”

🇷🇸 Serbia: Princ with “Mila”

Automatic qualifiers

These countries will perform their acts in full during the semi-final. However, because they are all automatic qualifiers, viewers will not be able to vote for them. Viewers in these countries will vote in this semi-final.

🇫🇷 France

🇩🇪 Germany

🇬🇧 United Kingdom

Now we want to know what you think. We’ve got two polls below: one to name the winner, and one to name the 10 qualifiers

Who should win Semi-Final 2 of Eurovision 2025?

the good old times of 2020 where there was no drama just song contest , now its more like a war all the time everywhere all at once… i hope someday we can back to that normality again , we need a change… but these last 3 years gonna be identical… proving that everything is rigged and songs dont matter anymore…

I think Israel would win the Semi Final again, but it’s gonna be close with Austria. Then at the final it all depends on the juries, and since they would probably boycott Israel again, Austria will win the contest by winning by a margin the jury votes, while Israel will win the public, and come maybe 10th in the juries. Hope to be wrong and the juries will play fair this year, but that’s a lot to expect from bunch of c0wards. Even though I think Israel deserve the win 100% this year, I’ll be really happy also with Austria… Read more »

In a time when I feel aggression rising in media and public space, New Day Will Rise deeply resonates with me. That is literally what my mother said to little bullied me growing up i a small town. And I survived. And now, I just want to close my eyes again and wait for better times. All that madness is strengthening my wish to stick with my inner me and to be in a safe place with my loved ones. It carries me through dark times like these and saves me from losing hope. And, if we are lucky, a… Read more »

For those saying that Israel won’t qualify – don’t illude yourselves. Just remember last year. The Diaspora is already being mobilised plus there is a budget running into millions to ensure success. The multiple times one can vote for one particular song ensures the qualification of said song. I have been saying this for years – that the EBU should apply the one person one vote – that is the only way that we would really know who is the actual favourite of the general public. But then the EBU is all about money.

ThorBeta

This semi is more tricky for me to predict. I expect Austria to win and then I’m very confident that Czechia, Finland and Malta will qualify but then it gets quite difficult. Greece and IL have advantage in qualifying I guess (although I don’t like either) and the last 4 spots are open for everyone except Georgia and Serbia. I will go for Denmark, Latvia, Lithuania and Luxembourg for now but I expect potential surprises here.

I always get blocked when I mention it. We’ll see if I say it in a different way..

I always go to one certain poll that had the most accuracy since 2015 to who will win eurovision. Because of how it’s done. And two countries really stand out and are so far ahead now. It’s so obvious of who the biggest favourites are.

If we are talking winner, then the Eurovision world poll seem to have been one of the most accurate imo. Correct winner 7 out of 9 times. Probobly because people can vote only one time and not for their own country. And people also can’t see the standings before voting I think to avoid tactical voting. So far there is only two countries that really stand out as nr.1 and 2. About 350 votes seperates them. With the 3rd place far behind. 53 000 votes are in so far. The poll often changes a bit during the semifinals. When we… Read more »

So far, Finland is the winner of both polls. Looks like most of you want Malta and Greece to qualify, but you think Austria has a bigger chance of winning the semi (and I agree).

Statistical anomalies include Czechia: 10th in the winner’s poll, but 5th in the wanting-to-qualify poll with many more hundreds of votes there.
Obviously Israel’s stats are not consistent, and we all know why.
It’s nice to see Ireland qualifying in per both polls. Yeyy.
Luxembourg is a bit underrated. Other than that, I pretty much agree with it all.

Serbia’s song is my favourite, which is unusual as I normally find the ballad bloat rather exhausting. It’s an incredibly powerful, emotional song with some of the best vocals in the competition; there is a build-up which actually delivers (so many ballads fall into the trap of blue-balling in that regard), and the rock elements make it refreshing. Princ is very easy on the eyes too which just completes the package. I am also very keen on Armenia’s catchy anthem, which I can see the stadium audience all singing along to, and Finland has yet again delivered on a fun… Read more »

Finland has appeal that gets people to vote for them, Austria gets votes very well on one of the two polls here, which means people are ready for it to win this semifinal, but it might not be on their qualifier wishes.

Don’t really know what else there is, but I doubt bots are causing this, and if Greeks massvote, they mass vote Greece same goes for Al_ania and Malta. Al_ania isn’t even on these polls, as it’s in SF1.

The song from Austria is good, but constructed for Eurovision. Just as Sweden normally do imo. Very slick production. But the staging is gonna be crucial. I remember back in 2011 when France with an opera song and a good looking fellow was the bookies favourite but couldn’t impress even if he had an impressive voice. He just stood there an sang. JJ will need to bring a staging close to the video imo. I think about the staging for Måns Revolution, something similar.

No one is supporting you other than the politicians you have bought. It has lost support from the whole world seeing its crimes bar a few stupid people. This is is why it needed millions of dollars just to buy votes in esc last year

No criticism at all, only positive comments, on the Eurovision website, but a low streaming number and only a 3.6 stars validation. It’s a bit strange.

Thankyouuu for mentioning thissss!!! I cant believe how the entire world and EBU had swept it under the rug. I hope a new day arrives where I3R43L stops M0RD0R1NG P4L3T1N14NS. I cant believe these people- not even an ounce of humanity in their hearts. They’re have mastered the art of lying and attention seeking. But Karma is real.

Yeah it’s absolutely disgusting that a country that just killed 400 innocent people in one night, breaking the conditions of the ceasefire, is still allowed to participate, and with a propaganda songs at that!

In this part of the post its painfully clear that the bots are downvoting criticall comments and upvoting the ones in favour for.
There’s no room for sensible sense unfortunately .

Lets hope this ESC25 will progress more peacefull and constructive than last years.

Lithuania should win if we’re just reviewing music and not which gimmicky songs are most “competitive” for Eurovision

Princ should also ditch that nickname and stop trying to associate himself with the actual legend that is Prince, Serbia should be an NQ based on that alone

Hmm well, he shortened his full stage name Princ od Vranje. I hardly think he’s “associating” himself with TAFKAOP lmao.

Then he should emphasize the Princ od Vranje, it may not be a conscious decision to associate but it’s still a bit distasteful and the Serbian wedding singer needs to know his place…

here in the Netherlands we have De Prins van Oranje. Sounds a bit simulair imo.

Shall we get on to Buckingham Palace and insist they strip him of the title? He’ll qualify anyway and get votes from people who don’t even know the US Prince.

The discrepancy between Lithuania in these two polls just goes to show that what matters in televotes are about who has you #1, not who has you in their top 10.

Do I have to pick one? Most were so unimpressive, I can’t put a melody to the song title. Those that I can – I only can because I don’t like them at all.
