Eurovision in Concert — Amsterdam’s blow-up pre-party event — came to a joyous end on Saturday evening when Claude delivered an emotional and uplifting performance of his song “C’est la vie.” Now that the confetti and the plastic cups have been swept from the floor we have to ask: Who gave the best live performance?

Thirty acts sang, including Go-Jo who flew in all the way from Australia.

Did the bookies’ favourites live up to the hype? And did any underdogs exceed expectations? We want to know what you think.

You can review most of the performances in our playlist at the end of this post. Currently our video of Claude is blocked globally, but hopefully that will be lifted soon. Then vote in our poll. You can vote for as many countries as you’d like, but you can only vote one time. Be sure and tick the box next to each country you want to support before hitting submit.

So who did you vote for? Let us know in the comments down below.

Very good performances over all. But personally, I like the Georgian song so much that I feel the need to listen to it every day. And Mariam Shingelia was on point. It’s a shame she has to deal with so much slander.

About Sweden. The big big question is still the juries. And I can see a scenario where votes are being somewhat devided between north and south of Europe. Where the north part might support Sweden much more than in the south. That can also happen with televoters think.. It’s the cultural aspect of it all.. where in the south they won’t get Sweden’s entry at all. So imo I don’t see Sweden as a sure winner.

Agree with you Milla. Juries will give their 12s 10s and 8s to something a bit more serious. Then when it comes to the televote, Sweden don’t have a great recent record and a quarter of those will be going to Israel and Ukraine. I think KAJ will get an Occidentali’s Karma-level result

Too many joke entries, i think people will be tired of them and a pure art wins (like Salvador in 2017)… i think after all those saunas, espressos, balls and other mess, both juries and viewers would need a break and they choose France, something really classy and minimalistic !

There are MANY overhyped acts this year that will not match the odds…
And those acts will make place for some unobvious dark horses… 🙂

That makes this year so exciting for me. And I think it won’t be a race between Sweden and Austria for the win 😉

The question is… will people vote for their current favs even if they fail live on ESC stage, or people will switch their votes to those who will be actualy great live in May.

In times of autotunes and playbacks, sometimes we forget that being able to sing live is very important in Eurovision. Maybe their songs are not the best but Remember Mondays and Melody have got some of the best voices of this edition and therefore I don’t think they will end up as bad as people think and odds say. Then you have Louane, who sings well, but not as well as the song requires (here you need something impressive like Slimane or Celine Dion). And then you have Germany, never singing live, and when they do… we wished they would… Read more »

Montenegro and Serbia have better voices than Spain and UK but that doesn’t change the fact that all 4 songs are plain bad.

Louane doesn’t need to hit some whistle notes or stand 13 kilometers away from the mic to translate the emotion of the song.

As a UK based voter, who was pretty lukewarm about our song, I’m encouraged by reactions to Amsterdam. We always knew they could sing those harmonies flawlessly. Now it needs the wit and panache in the staging that Moldova brought in 2018 with My Lucky Day…colourful, fun and well executed.
