Finland at Eurovision 2025: Erika Vikman with “ICH KOMME”
Erika won UMK against five other contestants. She received 68 points from the juries, making her their second favorite. However, the public vote turned the tables—Erika earned 362 points, more than 100 points ahead of the runner-up.
Born in Tampere, Erika later moved with her family, growing up in Lempäälä—close to her birthplace—and later in Pori. Initially, she followed in her mother’s footsteps, starting her career as a tango singer. As a teenager, she won the girls’ division of the Junior Tango Competition in 2008.
Erika gained wider recognition when she finished seventh on the Finnish version of Idols. However, her true breakthrough came in 2016, when she won Tangomarkkinat, earning the title of Tango Queen. Following her victory, she signed with Sony Music.
Erika is no stranger to UMK. She previously participated in 2020 with “Cicciolina”, a track inspired by the life of Hungarian-Italian porn star and politician Ilona Staller, known as Cicciolina. Although she finished as the runner-up, the song became a huge fan favourite.
What do the “ICH KOMME” lyrics mean?
The song’s title is in German and translates to “I’m Coming.” And you know exactly what she means! Erika is taking the “Come Together” Eurovision 2016 theme very seriously this year.
Erika boldly and unapologetically declares that there’s nothing wrong with expressing your sexual desires as a woman. She’s loud, she’s confident, and she’s not shy about it. Her raw confidence is a power move, a declaration that she’s here to have a good time, feel incredible in her skin, and make sure everyone knows it.
Erika doesn’t need an introduction—she’s already a well-known force in the Eurovision community—but in this song, she takes the opportunity to introduce herself, making it clear that her gates are wide open for new experiences. If he’s coming, she’s ready to come too.
My gates open
I am Erika
Welcome
You’re like a lovely
Trance god
Make yourself at home
Do what you want and
When you come
I’m coming with you
She’s a giver and a receiver, because that’s how it should be—an exchange of energy, passion, and pleasure. The experience is all-consuming, like a trance, transporting both of them to another realm of ecstasy and satisfaction.
(I’m coming)
(I’m coming)
And I echo loudly: I’m coming
(I’m coming)
(I’m coming)
And we come together and we’re like
Erika’s also ready for commitment, but this isn’t just about love—it’s about something deeper. She’s ready to make a vow, a promise, and even a naked wedding dance, because she’s determined to keep the flame burning brightly, refusing to let it extinguish with time. And let’s not forget, Erika is an artist, and she’s never too tired for an “encore.”
And I’d even dance the wedding dance with you
But naked
(…)
And when you want some love again
Shout Encore
The deeper message of this song is all about self-love and finding people who make you feel empowered to love your body and embrace your desires. Everyone deserves to feel loved, desired, and to receive back as much as they give—without shame or hesitation.
Baby you can still fall in love with yourself
Stars in your eyes and me on top of you
Baby you deserve everything good here
